same here. 1 year now, my own still dey kampe. no shaking.i use the charger to even charge some of my friends phones

I bought my M5 sometime January 2016. A year anniversary now.
I just discovered 2 days back, that the battery hardly last a whole day. In fact, with browsing and playing music intermittently, before 1pm the battery juice has dropped to almost 30%. and before 4pm I was advised to connect my phone to charger....

We are all being scam by those mobile phone manufacturer. let me give u a breakdown...
1) They tell u ur phone support OTG yet the phone came without the cable
2) There's a memory card slot but no memory card came with it
3) A phone that doesn't have gorilla glass, should come with an extra glass protector
4) Some phone don't come with pouches nor screen protector
5) You might not get software updates after u purchase the phone

NO.1 my own came with OTG cable. It is still inside the pack, i hardly use it

NO.2. That is true sha. personally, I haven't bought a phone that came with memory card. But am not surprised, Just like buying a brand new car with fuel inside.

NO.3 I agree with u. Even Gorilla glass should come with protector. i remember my samsung Galaxy s4

NO.4 My gionee came with 2 pouches.

NO.5 that is very very correct and true. MY Gionee m5 is still version 5.1 Release date 31-12-2015. very slow and sluggish in releasing update

1.Some Mtk Devices battery need to calibrate some point at a time of usage especially when remove or dead b4 charge.Work if you have change your rom to likes of cm12.1(based on experience on Redmi 2,Hot 2,M3m even LG D410 and back.
How do you know something is wrong
Charge your phone and note the %
remove it and hit the battery on your palm or table(softly)
Put it and connect charger, the battery % should be same if not battery stat need to be remove by calibration.

what happens to some of us that are using non-removable battery like Gionee m5?

Your screen shot. Plan has not been activated. Once u start browsing u won't see that again. It happened to me. Browse and dial *127*0#

Still working. That is what I use on my pc for unlimited download. But the download speed has drastically reduced to 2-4mb

He is the laziest and unserious phone engineer I know. Everybody fights him all the time as he never fixes your phone as at when due. Very annoying guy jare.

u guys should report him to Gionee head office and ask them to get another Gionee Rep. Some of those phone engineer are like that. I don't personal know him. But i know the Gionee Engineer in Abuja, where am based.

Call Ibadan Gionee Engineer and ask. If u are within the warranty period of 15 months, it should be free

in my case i wasnt't aware the first time. i just saw 30 bucks deducted as sms. i was shocked. then finally sb told me i have to root and freeze or delete GNS_salesstatistic & GN_SalesTrack_GL. which i did

Hello house, I am using the naija rom but I am considering PORTING to the Indian ROM . Honest assessment pls, between Indian and naija rom, which is better?

I have ported several times to INDIAN Rom, am BACK TO NAIJA Rom. Indian Rom is kool, but my first problem with the rom is, it MUST be rooted inorder for you to deal with 2 culprits that steals ur airtel in the form of unwarranted txt msg.


This was my post in March 2016...

I noticed so many irregularities on Indian rom that is why i paid Money to a Gionee engineer guy in Abuja, to roll me back to Naija Rom.

what i noticed during my marriage to Indian Rom were:
a. My battery juice drops down too fast for my liking. shocked shocked
b. My MEID Displays: 00000000000000 when i dial *#06#. (why should MEID appear there instead of only IMEI?)
c. whenever, am sending pix or small video on whatsapp, it will just freeze, i have to wait a while, and exit whatsapp before it sent the stuff(Not so in Naija Rom)
d.Also, when new update is out, u won't get any Notification.
e. The fact that GNS_salesstatistic & GN_SalesTrack_GL connived and deducted almost 100 bucks for unwarranted text msg b4 i rooted and uninstall it from my former Indian rom, made me angry and port back to Naija Rom grin grin grin

The only advantage of the Indian Rom is moving app to SD, which i believe Naija ROM the Latest update will fix that.

The major reason that makes me stress myself in going far distance and paying money to port back to Naija Rom is a,b& c. grin grin

back to ntel, signal has improved in Yaba(Alagomeji/Adekunle area) and I'm on the one month plan, finally left swift. I'm getting full bars here, this is an improvement from my testing three weeks ago when I had to move towards the window to get one bar. Speedtest is showing 34.52mbps download and 8.77mbps upload speed. Fast.com did not go beyond 2.0mpbs though but I had multiple downloads running when I carried out the test, was also streaming alongside too

Delete the Apn and input manually: Globacom, gloflat flat flat. It may help. Try and contact their customercare, though they are very annoying sometimes.

i manually input glosecure before it starts browsing. gloflat APN stopped browsing abruptly. am using mtn 4G LTE for now. let me see how it goes
