I want to commend everyone who has taken out time to post available job vacancies on this thread . I got to know about this thread yesterday and reading through various comments, I am really amazed at the level of corporation going on here.

I am a graduate of Religious Studies and my long-standing interest is to work in a reputable non-governmental organization. I am based in Abuja and will welcome the opportunity to volunteer or intern with any Ngo in Abuja willing to accept me since I don't have relevant working experience. I will be grateful if you guys can make recommendations or possible places I could apply to in Abuja. Thanks

I have also visited the career section of many Ngo's such as Mercy Corps, Christian Aid, VSO, PACT and the likes and applied several times to volunteer with them but no response.

I want to use this opportunity to state my readiness to volunteer with any Ngo within Abuja which can accommodate a recent graduate like me. Thanks

Ik4life and strong 766. I will advise you guys to take the volunteer job seriously. The fact it was stated no pay does not mean you people will not be entitled to some stipends. I got an internship offer two years ago but I had to decline the offer due to the fact that I got admission to go for my masters degree. My friend who resumed with that ngo is now a big boy as he was retained at the end of the internship training. Just be diligent and the right doors will open for you. If not for anything, you will gain experience and you will meet people who may be of help to you tomorrow.

I didn't get an invite but I wish I did because I would not hesitate to do by best in order to get the job. One challenge am facing now is not having the relevant work experience. So I will advise you to attend the interview, it may just be your stepping stone to another higher door. But if you are already engaged or comfortable with where you are, no big deal.

they gave me 5 things to explain which is not a problem. but where I am confuse now is whether to come with a printed copy I.e typed paper of my presentation or both typed hard copy and soft copy of the PowerPoint presentation.

To be on the safest side. Go with both a printed and soft copy of your presentation. If you can afford it, I will advise you print your presentation in coloured to give it the original effect. You can save the softcopy on a cd and package it neatly in an envelope. Please what position did you apply for and what did you study? Uptil now, I have not gotten an invite.
