A former Governor of Akwa Ibom State and incumbent Senate Minority Leader, Godswill Akpabio, was on Friday arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.

Mr. Akpabio was taken in by EFCC operatives at about 5.20 pm.

He was said to have been accompanied a few aides and a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, SAN, Ricky Tarfa.

An aide to the former governor, said that Mr. Akpabio is currently being interrogated by top officials of the EFCC.

An EFCC source confirmed the development.

“He was brought in at about 5.20 pm accompanied by a few aides and Mr. Rickey Tarfa,” the source said.

“It is not yet known whether he will be allowed to go this night. It depends on how the interrogation goes.”

The spokesperson for the EFCC, Wilson Uwujaren, did not answer or return calls seeking comment for this story.

The EFCC had begun investigation into alleged theft of N108.1billion of Akwa Ibom funds by the former governor in June.

ribbit:
The religious folks want us to believe that everything God created is for humans to enjoy and to make our stay more comfortable here on earth ... That's why we have some religious folks coming up with stuff like banana theory.

E.g, He created the light for day and moon for the night ..

He created plants and animals so we could have dominion over them and eat them so we won't die.

He created earth as accommodation ...
Etc etc..

Now the question is, what purpose do other planets in the galaxy serve?
How come bible or any ancient religious books never mentioned any of these planets until scientists started exploring ?
I mean, its like god doesn't want us to be go out of earth, that is why there is no oxygen in space.

If God created the universe simply for the Earth he wasted a lot of material on the project. There are an estimate 100 billion solar systems in our galaxy and over 1 million galaxies in the universe. That's a lot of material just to maintain one, healthy planet. Even if God is all-powerful, he is either a very poor planner or we have seriously misidentified our significance to him.
