Ishilove: Exactly. A victim of a dog attack will have a lot of wounds on his body. This body looks undisturbed from the photo Even no blood stain on the dogs mouth or paws. Looks like d dogs are just probing d lifeless body. Then he can't die face down with dogs attack. He must have been trying to save his life. Then, who took that photograph? Except d person is inside a car. |

With the hit and run twist, that may be a new lead. The cloth appears neater than it's a dog attack and no physical wound visible on the skin from that unclear image |

hotspec: Many years ago, when I was struggling with my final year research project, after searching endlessly on the open web without much progress, I visited my institution library. The librarian I met directed me to related journals and online databases. Within few days, I got more than what I needed to complete my research. I can't also forget how I used the library as a relaxation to read newspapers, catch up on world news and sports.
Now the questions are: do people still use libraries today? How relevant are libraries in this digital age? How have libraries contributed to your personal or professional growth? Have you had any notable interactions with librarians? Can you share your memorable library experience? How do you see libraries developing into our future?

Abee79: Still have fun memories of my time at various libraries from Secondary School, University and during my Postgraduate Study days. It was my own happy place. I've used library resources to advance myself personally and professionally. It was ALWAYS my happy place. But you know, the advent of the Internet (especially AI) changed the way knowledge is accessed and consumed. The last time I visited a physical library for research/study was nine years ago. I find that I've come to rely more on online academic resources which are readily available and convenient . . . It was ALWAYS my happy place. Library is just the happiest place to be |

There is need for thorough investigation of this institution as a whole. And probably change of management. Just like two weeks ago, one security working for the university raped one of the students right there on campus, and now another one was killed. Beaten from night to morning, yet no hostel Porter on sight? No other student to report? Something is definitely wrong. NUC and appropriate authorities need to shake some tables |

muykem: How can you say payment of 2k by unemployed youth is normal? Do you reason it at all? Even private institutions like Banks, companies will not ask you to pay a dime. Government that's in charge our common resources is taking fees from unemployed youth and not up to 10% of them will eventually get the job. Are you aware that even to be mobilized to serve your father land as NYSC corp member, you have to pay N3k mobilization fee to FG? Is it supposed to be so? But they have reason(s) for that. Most banks recruit through 3rd party consulting firms or agencies who charge the applicants at certain stages for certain things. And if you're lucky to be employed, certain percentage of your salary is for them. Did u know that you're charged for Olevel result verification as part of your school fees in higher institutions? While I may jot speak for Osun state govt, but i know that d 2k charged is purposely because of the CBT screening involved. The last govt under APC did similar thing. Their own exam was handled by JAMB. |
Politics › Re: After Raking In Millions From Applicants, Osun Fails To Hold Teachers' Exams by hotspec(m): 1:16am On Mar 28, 2024 |
This news was over sensationalized and biased. Was any govt stakeholder contacted to identify the cause of the delay? Was d delay across all the centers or just few? It was reported that the issue mostly affeted just two centers and it was due to the work of hackers overnight looking for exam questions. Those affected have been rescheduled.
As for the charging of fees, it's just 2k which is normal. It will cover for logistics such as payment of private CBT centeres and ad-hoc staff in charge. Osun govt has no CBT center. Even jamb used to pay those private CBT centers.
For those claiming to pay above 2k, na Dem sabi. I registered for my sister through my phone. I only paid 2k plus may be #100 bank charges |
