They are not human rights abuses. They are mini war crimes.

It helps not to kill soldiers deployed for internal security. Somehow whichever community does it comes away with tears.

It actually helps not to have soldiers deployed to your community. I have not seen where things have turned out differently. Even UN peace keeping forces abuse civillians, especially females.

Wisdom is scare in this age.
Very predictable, so the TASUED students that were brutalised in their school by the army killed soldiers abi? and they shamelessly raided the school with the MRAPs and guntrucks that is badly needed in the northeast going against the Geneva convention they're a signatory to.

indeed you're a special breed.

Where did this take place, when, what platoon, regiment, casualties etc....

I recall how Cameroon authorities tried to deny the killing of several women by their soldiers and pass it off as having occurred in another country ( unspoken suspicion being placed on Nigeria) . However International interest lead to investigators being able to determine their guilt by use of satellite and other digital means. Cameroon had no hiding place in the end.

It is very important for what occurred in this vid to be made clear ad transparent. Nigeria army should make a great deal of this so that no room is left for exploitation by agitators. If al turns out as it seems, then make an example of the soldiers, publicly, however difficult this may be to moral and reputation.
Don't waste your time they've already denied it in their usual manner.
An utterly irresponsible organisation.

Nigeria just isn't as good at hiding its injustices like the US for example wink
You people will always find a way to defend nonsense. How many time have you heard that US soldiers commit crimes against their own citizens? We need alot of reorientation in this country.

they should be court martialed....it is unfortunate that the actions of a few tarnish the reputation of the other 99% that serve with honour and professionalism.....these incidents however are not unique to Nigeria or other African forces, they also happen in first world Militaries like the US.... There will always be bad apples
The Nigerian army have a history of poor human rights record it didn't start today, this has been the case since the 60's it is not a matter of a few individuals this is almost like a policy. Similar scenario happened in a village at Aba were Nigerian Soldiers went house to house butchering unarmed civilians with matchete the video is even on YouTube.
I won't be surprised if they deny it and some people here will shamelessly defend them.

May the soul of innocent people killed by security agents find rest in God's Bossom from the massacre in Zaria, Obigbo, Lekki and Izombe etc and may those involved in extrajudicial killings meet their end.

May God bless Nigeria, deliver us from the bandits in power and heal the land.

Once you see or hear them deny a report...then just know the report is an absolute truth....!! Anyo oni yeye....!!!
People that denied that they didn't bomb innocent villagers despite evidences and pictures from victims in the hospital, only for them to later accept that the bombing incident happened albeit in error. Only an idiot will expect NAF to agree that they paid to retrieve that AA..

Desert warfare experience for what? If the Naval infantry or the NNSBS needs such experience, why not just meet the Nigerian Army for the necessary training, same way the USN Seals meets the US Army for their Jump School training? That will save cost considerably compared to opening an independent training facility.
There are facilities in Jaji, Naval school Kachia that can easily be used for these trainings at little or no cost to the Navy. The Tri-services even have units of their special forces training in Jaji, I understand what the other guy was saying when he was referring sentimental attachments in building military facilities these are legitimate concerns but sadly we like dismissing these issues by calling critics bigot.

So you people expect cadets that most probably were in their rooms when the attack happened to go confront armed bandits without weapons? Do you people think cadets move about with rifles at all times at NDA? Even when on training they are issued blanks. NDA for heaven's sake is like a university.
The quality of reasoning here atimes is baffling.

Hello guys...... I saw the recent post regarding scraping DSSC. I don't think it is possible to scrap it. Come to think of it, no Military institution in the country produce the profession some cores of the army needs like Medicals profession, Public relation, legal and Education among others. if they scrap it then how can there recruit such profession which inputted immensely and are very important. Look at it carefully and think.
I think the person that talked about scraping DSSC was referring to course 26 not the entire DSSC. I also learnt about the cancellation of DSSC 26 from a personnel even though I have my doubts. Dssc 26 is the most controversial enlistment ever.

Kanu is ready to sacrifice all the Igbos in the North as long as that will bring him Biafra
What's concerns Igbos in the north with what Kanu is doing? If the same Igbos and the entire south decides to pay the north in their own coin putting into cognizance the history of ethnic and religious violence in your region the north would have been expelled from the rest of the country. Bokoharam killed alot of Christians majority of whom are southerners when they started to the cheering of the northern masses till they ran out of Southerners to kill, is it the Kano, Kaduna, Jos riots to mention afew or the election crises in 2011 where southern corp members were hacked to death by northern Muslim mobs or should we talk about the Cartoon incidence in far way Europe that made northerners attacked southerners in the north, it was this crises that my entirely family nearly lost our lives because we are Southerne Christians and looked like Igbos. Never did we hear the useless northern elders or group condemn such attacks also we didn't hear of reprisals anywhere in the east. Gideon Akaluka, Bridget Agbaheme where killed and beheaded in Kano and no one was brought to justice, same for the Redeemed female Pastor killed in Abuja, no one threatened the northerners in the south because people believe that it has nothing to do with them.
Also no one is threatening to Kill the Hausa/Fulani doing their business in the south on account of the atrocities Fulani Herdsmen commited at Igangan, infact you have been silent on it. No one holds the sole monopoly to violence, but If the north think it can keep on threatening a section of the country then they'll be in for a serious shocker, same people that are all mute in the ongoing carnage in Benue.
All of you will soon learn that Nigeria does not start and end with Hausa/Fulani, Igbo or Yorubas. Hypocrites.

TROOPS FOIL ANOTHER ATTACK ON IMO STATE POLICE COMMAND, NEUTRALISE 'DRAGON', 4 OTHER ASSAILANTS

Nigerian Army (NA) troops operating in Owerri the Imo State capital foiled an early morning attack on the Imo State Police Command today 6 June 2021. The troops assisted by the Police Special Forces eliminated a top IPOB/ESN Operational Commander, Joseph Uka Nnachi alias King of Dragons, who has been orchestrating attacks against security agencies and government establishments in the South Eastern States. He has been at the centre of several heinous attacks since the death of Ikonso who gave up the ghost during an encounter with security forces on 24 April 2021 at Awomama Village of Orlu East LGA of Imo State.

Equaly neutralised along with Dragon were four of his cohorts while one was captured alive and has been assisting security forces with useful information. The troops recovered four AK-47 Rifles, a Toyota Hiace Mini bus used as operational vehicle by the assailants as well as several assorted ammunitions and charms.

It would be recalled that IPOB/ESN Terrorists attacked the Imo State Police Command on 5 April 2021 and since then, the security forces had been on the trail of the assailants leading to the successful elimination of the key figures involved.

The NA wishes to place on records it's profound appreciation to the peace-loving citizens of Imo State and the entire citizenry for their support towards combating security challenges in the South East and the rest of the country. The Chief of Army Staff, Maj Gen Faruk Yahaya, particularly noted this as a patriotic gesture and appealed to the public to do more while assuring them of the NA's resolve to end the reign of terror in the country.

This is an innocent church goer that was killed and police paraded him as UGM. Same goes for others, the other day it was an Oil worker that was paraded as UGM. Tomorrow if the brothers/kids of this innocent people pick up arms against the state you will start preaching how they want to turn the east into another Borno as if you people care.

I know in your heart that you want youths to pick up arms like people in the East are currently doing, dude you're totally wrong.
Not every body will be crazy like you guys.
And I hope this would not turn into an Hausa war also, because if it does people from the east wil be the ones to suffer most. Kadunna for I stance has alot of Igbo people and business.
You guys should use your brains and not your mouth to cause war like what your leader kanu is doing, Twitter just deleted some of is tweets yesterday.
If it turns to Hausa war, the Hausa/Fulani will suffer the most because almost all ethnicities are against them in Nigeria now because of their activities all over the country and the obvious one sidedness of the govt. In the Kaduna you mentioned most of the Igbos have relocated to the southern part of the state and their is an unannounced alliance with the indigenes of those areas because they know who their real enemies are. Most of you guys always finding way to chip in Igbos in every conversation are all silent on the atrocities committed by the Fulanis in people's land all over the country. Everyone knows that when crises happens in the north anyone that looks well fed and fair is seen as Igbos, especially southerners who are not Yorubas.
It will be better for the Fulani elders to go and beg Buhari to get a third term because whether they like it or not that restructuring everyone is running from will come violently and they'll have no option to comply or be cutoff from Nigeria. Never have we had it bad in history of governance in this country, and Buhari will supervise the disintegration of this country with his nepotistic, crude and unintelligent style of leadership.

Facts are sacred, objectivity and truth have turned some of us to emergency prophets, when we talk on issues from informed position ignorant folks always tuck their brains in their anus when matters of security is discussed.

Wike has taken a proactive step to curb the raging violence that have spilled over to Rivers, by declaring curfew in the entire local government in the state. On this I give him a big thumbs up.

Truthshots2:
1) the southeast is not a homogeneous region
2) the peoples of the southeast had nothing in common when the British conquered them(except cannibalism and backwardness), the British had to bring them together due to the logistical nightmare of ruling over thousands of small tribes. The British even banned most of the traditions in the southeast due to cannibalism concerns. That is why you guys basically have no traditions today.
3) the southsouth is way more homogeneous than the southeast, indeed most of the southsouth was part of the same precolonial country (Benin Kingdom).
4)It is weird you have problems with a person of the south-south supposedly speaking for the south south and claiming the south-south doesn't belong to any other region but to the southsouth and it's people, yet you have no problems when your fellow southeasterners on this forum or some deluded fools on twitter speak on behalf of the southsouth in a tone basically calling it a property of the southeast.
You're an illiterate and don't have the intellectual wherewithal to make enlightened engagement in this thread, go back to romance or crime section that's where your kind belong.

People in the southeast have this incredible misconception that the southsouth belongs to them. Some fools like beegeagle seem to believe that the southsouth is a base for southeastern militancy. You guys need to stop linking us southsouth to the southeast, we are two different peoples in two different regions. When you are talking about the southeast, there is no need to include the Southsouth in that talk !

The southsouth is a region in it's own right, not a property belonging to the southeast or to any other region.

It is very irritating to constantly see people from other regions claiming to speak for the southsouth as if the southsouth was a conquered people !
We are not a conquered people !
Who are the people speaking for South South and give us instances. We are talking about security implications in South east Region having the possibility of spilling over to the south South and you're talking gibberish, is the South South ethnically as homogeneous as the south east? When people discuss security matters please pocket your emotions.
Speak for yourself and not for the numerous ethnic group within that geographic space.
