Senior Mechanical / Piping Engineer (Renewable 4 weeks contract) Location: Lagos Specification: • BSc or BEng in Mechanical Engineering or other engineering equivalents • Experience in Oil & Gas fields • Minimum of 10 years cognate experience • Experience in gas processing plant and tank farms is required • Sufficient in AUTOCAD • Experience on FEED and detailed engineering projects are crucial • Familiarity with tank farms, LPG, P & ID and valves (types and applications) are added advantages. • Familiar with preparation and interpretation of Datasheets • Conversant with generating piping MTOs • Extensive understanding of piping connections • Thorough understanding of deliverables on a field project • For Nationals only Responsibilities • Develops design concepts; prepares documents during design development phase. Corrects and updates design documents. Develops solutions to design problems. • Uses computer aided design technologies to develop sketches, drawings and construction documents. • Reviews, drawings and documents to assure compliance with company design and production standards. • Attends pre-bid meetings and assists the project team in evaluating commercial proposals. • Works with equipment suppliers/vendors to obtain the necessary information needed for design completion. Interacts with clients on a limited basis to secure scope and design intent. • Routinely archives and retrieves data from electronic database for support of work. • Execute all required Mechanical related engineering works covering the Scope of Work for all client`s projects. • Responsible for information exchange between the Mechanical / Piping Team and all other Teams within the project • Follow-up of the project files and documentation, including maintaining the standard project files structure on server/ SharePoint • Responsible to implement at its level all required measures to ensure quality at source. Must be familiar with relevant industry codes and standards, design specifications, and practices. • Ensure ease of constructability is considered in all Mechanical technical solutions / deliverables. • Able to perform Detailed Design for gas compressor, air compressor, air cooler, vessels HVAC and overhead cranes. • Responsible for the design, specification, selection, and services relating to rotating machinery including gas turbines steam turbines, compressors, pumps, and packaged equipment. • Able to perform material selection.
