It seems people always have the tendency to side with the underdog especially if the person is a female.

All we want to know is: Who ate the OILY yam?

It must be pursued to a logical end.

OP you are biased, the issue of four husbands and sexual harassment as it affects Joy and Akpabio should be a secondary matter, I think we should focus on who ate the Yam that's all.
Akpabio accused her on live television of not having prerequisite certificates for the office she was holding and insubordination which he provided proofs.
Madam Joy accused Akpabio of pushing her to commit fraud, she stated that Akpabio does not sign any document, and she slapped him in his guest house. All her allegations against Akpabio may be true but it will be very difficult to proof unlike the ones against her.

Akwa Ibom communities raise alarm as Udom Emmanuel abandons 55.1km superhighway project

Akwa Ibom communities raise alarm as Udom Emmanuel abandons 55.1km superhighway projectPublished on July 14, 2020By Lovina Anthony

Angry youths in six Local Government Areas of Akwa Ibom State have threatened to embark on a massive protest following the abandonment of 55.1 km Superhighway project which runs through their communities.

The Superhighway that spanned through Ibeno, Eket, Esit Eket, Mbo and Urue Offong Oruko Local Government Areas of the state was initiated by Governor Udom Emmanuel.

Investigations revealed that the project was awarded to Ebla Construction Ltd under Public-Private Partnership ( PPP) arrangement but the vendor later abandoned the site after spending N700m without the state government providing her contributory counterpart funds.

When correspondents visited the project site, the Ibeno Monitoring Team Chairman, Mr Kingsley Udoh said youths of the affected communities would mobilize themselves for protest to remind Governor Udom Emmanuel about the abandoned Superhighway project.
According to him, “If government does not complete this project, we will protest. When the Superhighway project was awarded to our area,we were happy. Right now, we are not happy. Ibeno people are not happy especially the youths. We are very angry. We are feeling bad.

“Presently, the Superhighway is abandoned. Please we are sad, take the message to the governor. We are not happy anymore.

“When we come out from the community to this junction, and we turn our eyes to see that the job is abandoned, we feel sad. Many people lost their houses and lands to government without compensation, just to ensure we have development. Unfortunately, this project has been abandoned.”

But, the state Commissioner for Works, Mr. Ephraim Inyangeyen blamed the federal government for the delay in the construction of the 12-lane Ibom Super Highway as it failed to approve the construction of Ibom Deep Seaport for the state.

Inyangeyen disclosed this in Uyo, on Tuesday while reacting to claims by the irate youths from the project host communities that the project which was flagged off in 2017 had been abandoned since 2018.

He explained that the state government decided to slow down after 15 out of 55.1 kilometers of the road had been done when it observed the refusal of the Federal Government to give approval for the construction of the Ibom Deep Seaport as the road was initiated for the Seaport operations and the proposed Ibom Industrial city.

His words, “The Ibom Super Highway project did not stop in 2018. The funding of the project stopped in 2019. It was when we observed the reluctance of the federal government to give us the necessary approval for Ibom Deep Seaport we decided to slow down.”

“The state Government believed it was more critical for us to persuade the Federal government and get approval for the construction of the deep Seaport first. This is because if we don’t build the deep Seaport the 55.1kilometer Super Highway is not economically viable to be sustained

NEWS: Akwa Ibom community laments N19b abandoned Etebi Enwang bridge
“But it is only when the seaport approval is in our hand that we can be sure of doing the road. So our concentration now is on how to get all the approvals promised by the Federal government. If the deep seaport is not there, we don’t need the road.

“The reason for initiating the 12-lane Super Highway is primarily for us to create access to the deep seaport, and the Ibom Industrial city and avert congestion. It is not meant for general purpose. So the story that the Super Highway has been abandoned is not correct.

“And we have not changed the Elba Construction Company that is handling the road. I have told the contractor to be patient, that the moment we get approval for the deep seaport he will return to site. In fact, Government is even owing him.”

judicious applications of the fund to increase cassava production for the attainment of increased food production in the state. She described cassava as a crop grown throughout the year with exceptional ability to adapt to climate change with tolerance to low soil fertility, resistance to drought, pests and diseases infestation.
The commissioner was optimistic that with the encouragement of farmers by the state government, there would be increased production in the cassava value change in the state for raw materials supply to industries and all round availability of chippings for the production of animal feeds. Edet lauded Gov Udom Emmanuel for strengthening agricultural development, adding that his investments in agricultural sector are geared towards creating enduring legacies for his administration in the state. The commissioner advised those whose farmlands were verified with proper documentations without attending to by the government in the implementation of the interest free loans to report their cases to the ministry for actions. The director of Agriculture in the state, Mr Emmanuel Akpan, while contributing on the occasion, explained that the on-going interest free loans were paid in batches to the real cassava farmers in the state. Akpan advised all the intended beneficiaries of the loan scheme to ensure that they meet all the required conditions attached to the implementation, noting that all those who presented themselves during the inspection of farmlands as members of various cooperative societies but only turned around to seek individual loan without any verifiable record would not be considered by the government.
He declared state government's resolve to accommodate all genuine cassava farmers captured during the inspection of their farmland by officials of the Ministry of Agriculture. Prophet John Much in Nkanta of Ekoi- Ikpe Annang in Essien Udim Local Government Area, while responding on behalf of the loan scheme beneficiaries, thanked the state government for encouraging farmers in the commercial cultivation of cassava. Nkanta pledged the collective resolve of cassava farmers to make effective application of the loan facility to improve on their productivity and turn around the economic fortunes of the state for a better future.

...applauds Governor Emmanuel for top notch facilities

By Emma Akpabio, Uyo

The Management of Akwa Ibom State international Airport Development Company Limited has reaffirmed commitment to curtail further Spread of Corona Virus Pandemic as domestic flights resume in the State on Wednesday July 15, 2020.

The Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of the airport, Mr Uwem Ekanem gave the assurance, Monday, while speaking on Ibom Business Update, a one hour business and commercial radio Program on Comfort 95.1FM, Uyo.

According to Mr Ekanem who is also the Senior Special Assistant to the Akwa Ibom State Governor on aviation development, the airport also known as Victor Attah international Airport, has twice been decontaminated and disinfected, in addition to other measures put in place to curtail further spread of COVID-19.

"The airport is a gateway where every body will be coming into our State, though adequate preventive measures have been put in place, its also very important we protect ourselves by wearing face mask. On our part, we have strategically located contactless hand washing facilities. A body disinfection Channel and two smart automatic body temperature scanning machines have been installed. All air travelers must therefore walk throw the chambers of the temperature scanning machine which records the body temperature on face recognition with an alarm system to notify high temperature. For effective maintenance of social distancing, protocol assistants not traveling would be restricted" Ekanem added.

Speaking on the safety of Passengers while on board, the aviation development Boss further disclosed that aircraft operated by Ibom air and some other companies are equipped with high efficiency particulate air which purifies the air on board. He however, commended Governor Udom Emmanuel for all his efforts which has made the Victor Attah international Airport rank side by side with other reputable airports in the country.

It could be Recalled that the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) through a team of about 13 inspectors who recently visited the airport for spot checks and compliance inspection, had expressed satisfaction with the standard of facilities and preparedness put in place by the management of VAIA. Engr Adebayo Oladipo who led the team had wished the top notch facilities and standard be maintained by the Management of airport.

I can understand why you would think so. But go check she is the one with the money and she was just looking for love. She is very protective, confrontational and vocal and not many men like that in a woman much more a wife. Most men like to do the leading and feel suffocated when being lead. Most of her husband felt she was too bossy and they did not feel they could take a back seat. She was even able to help some with her connections. She is very close to buhari, aisha and even amaechi.
So all the four ex husbands were poor and none met her spec. Then make her rest na. This is a type of woman that can talk other women at of marriage

proeast:
Akwa Ibom is growing relatively faster than other major oil producers like Delta, Rivers and Bayelsa. Luckily for them too, they aren't bogged down by insecurity like the others. However, for the state to really become an economic power house, they will need to attract private sector investments. So far, all I'm seeing is state government investments in infrastructures and it can't be enough to make the state an economic giant.

The state government should make sure that Ibom deep sea port becomes functional ASAP. Then liase with the federal government or NDDC to ensure that the road that connects Akwa Ibom to Abia state is dualized by Julius Berger. Lastly, the government should equally call a meeting with Igbo importers and offer them incentives to use the port.

Without a functional road and railway connecting Ibom seaport with the commercial cities of Aba and Onitsha, the port will never achieve its maximum potentials.
For sure you've not been following Akwa-Ibom State developmental strides.
Firstly all our investments are PPP not completely government.
Secondly the Ibom deep seaport is in the hands of federal government (FEC) not state government for finally approval...
Thirdly there are 2 active well starred road linking Abia to Akwa Ibom kingdom...and the are proposing a 12 lane road connection from Ibaka to uyo and a train service too.
So we have all what you are saying in the plan
