Oya explain it to us
Noise pollution is defined as regular exposure to elevated or disturbing sound levels that lead to adverse effects in humans or other living organisms. Unlike a sudden loud crash, noise pollution is typically a chronic, ongoing issue in an environment.
The World Health Organization (WHO) defines noise above 65 decibels (dB) as noise pollution. To put that in perspective, sound becomes explicitly harmful to our health when it regularly exceeds 75 dB and can cause physical pain above 120 dB.

Politics › Re: Peter Obi Is Wrong, Nigeria's Main Problem Is Not Political Leadership by hush15: 1:54pm On Jul 19
truthera:
I came across the thread titled "Elections Are Rigged Because Nigerians Want It To Be Rigged - Peter Obi" in which Obi said the following and I quote

It is glaring that Peter Obi is being economical with the truth.... Leadership is a problem but it is only a symptom of a bigger problem. Nigeria suffers from bad national leadership not because of lack of democratic processes or participation par say but mainly as a result of a centrist national governing framework that is unsuitable for a highly sectional tribal divisive people that occupy the geographical space you call Nigeria.... No good leader can assume national leadership under this centrist governing structure to rule and effect progressive national reforms without the frustration of pandering to the vicious divisive political forces whether in the form of fulani jihadism, terrorism, tribalism and ethnic profiling, all of which are pushed to ensure a change of government that favors only a section of the country. Any "good" politician in Nigeria (if any still exists) vying for the office of the president must as a matter of urgency, prioritize the full implementation of a new constitutional framework upon assuming power that ensures a total decoupling of current national governing structures from a centralized national system towards totally decentralized one if he or she genuinely wants to help the people of Nigeria....

No good governance can thrive in an atmosphere of systemic injustice, unless the 1999 constitution is totally dissolved and a referendum is conducted that will birth a fresh start, a better union built on trust, justice and equity, nothing will change as bad leaders who offer nothing but corruption, looting and retrogression will continue to dominate Nigeria's national polity through divisive politics. Many Nigerians will continue to be used as willing tools to defend retrogression and bad governance due to their penchant for tribalism and deep religious sentiments, a vicous cycle that only guarantees that the suffering of the masses will continue..... I understand that the main reason behind Peter Obi's stance on political leadership as Nigeria's only problem is because he wants to be president. If by a miracle he wins, he will fail Nigerians if after 4 years his administration, did nothing to address the underlying issues of Nigeria's unity....
You have no idea what leadership is about.

I will use a simple analogy to explain and if you still dont understand it, then too bad but note this, Peter Obi is absolutely spot on.

When a lion leads a herd of sheep, they are better off than a sheep lead a den of lions. There is a reason why it is often said, if the head is right, the body will be too.
As bad as Nigeria is, with a good leader, things can get better.

Since 2009, Nigeria has experienced a wave of attacks from BokoHaram. There was no single weekend when you don't see news about attacks on newspaper headlines. So many communities were deserted and IDP camps saw heavy influx of people weekly. There were records of IED explosions, attack on military camps, schools, churches, mosque and markets. Crises also broke out in the middle belt where farming communities came under serious attacks by Fulani militia. This resulted to a Christian genocide claim because most of those farming communities were predominantly Christians. Meanwhile, border communities of lake Chad and Cameroon were the worst hit by BokoHaram insurgent groups. With the efforts of USA government which offered intelligence and Nigerian soldiers boots on the ground, ISWAP was heavily bombarded which caused the group to be completely decimated. Also, bandit leaders in Zamfara were also targeted and they suffered heavily casualties which resulted in collapse of their strong holds. Now, you can read newspaper headlines without seeing reports of attacks in any state of the country as opposed to how it was years ago. As peace returns to Nigeria, the government should make sure they eradicate poverty completely and occupy all ungoverned spaces. State Police should also be created without any further delays
Hehehe... OP must be on cheap colos.

Peace....

Politics › Re: Atiku’s Camp Calls For Oriire Kidnap Probe Following Revelation By Freed Teacher by hush15: 1:31pm On Jul 19
Bobloco:
Atiku’s Camp Calls for Oriire Kidnap Probe Following Revelation by Freed Teacher

The camp of African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar has backed Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde’s call for an independent investigation into the abduction of pupils and teachers from Oriire Local Government Area, following claims by one of the freed teachers that they were released by their captors rather than rescued by security forces.

Atiku’s media aide, Paul Ibe, made the call in a post on X on Saturday.

This follows the claim by one of the released teachers, Mr. Olatunde Zacchaeus, who during an interview on Nigerian Info FM, said that the victims were freed by the terrorists.

Ibe argued that the teacher’s account contradicted the Federal Government’s earlier position that the victims were rescued by Nigerian security forces after spending 56 days in captivity.

According to Ibe, the Presidency had, in a statement issued on July 10 by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, announced the rescue of the 44 pupils and teachers.

Ibe wrote, “On the 10th of July, the Presidency in a statement issued by Bayo Onanuga announced the rescue (and not release) of the 44 Oriire school children and teachers by our security forces after 56 days in captivity.

“But speaking on Info FM one of the freed teachers, Mr. Olatunde Zacchaeus claims that they were indeed released by the terrorists.

“Teacher Olatunde Zacchaeus’s claims is in stark contradiction to what the Tinubu-led APC administration told the nation.

“Is it that Zacchaeus, as a teacher, does not know the difference between to release and rescue, or is he an ‘agent’ of the opposition, or what?

“This revelation on live radio brings to the fore the issue of state sponsored payment of ransom to terrorists and bandits and conspiracy theories that some of the so-called abductions are state-sponsored.

“Does this revelation now explain why Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State demanded for a United Nations independent investigation of the issue?

“I agree 100% with Makinde, there’s a compelling need for an independent investigation of an international dimension to establish what happened in Oriire, Oyo State, Mussa village in Askira/Uba Local Government Area of Borno and in other places where abductions has become the rule and not the exception.

“Meanwhile, what’s the update on the plan for the rescue or release of the abducted school children in Borno?”

Ibe shared the comments while reposting a Nigerian Info publication quoting Zacchaeus, who recalled the final moments of the victims’ 56-day captivity. The post quoted the teacher as saying, “They said we should thank God that we have been freed,” as he narrated the emotional trek back to safety.

All my years of learning economics, micro determines and defines the macro but APC government, the reverse is the case and they want Nigeria to work.

Why do you have problem with preaching in a bus but not blocking highways in the name of praying on highways and making everybody stand still even in medical emergency cases in the name of prayers
Which is much dangerous.
People preach on the streets and everywhere round the globe as long as you not spreading falsehood or making a nuisance...

People should stop spreading false hood like people don't go abroad.

Stop the noise solution. If other religions are flooding our streets, the buses with noise, what do you think will happen

On average of 2 churches are erected daily in Nigeria yet the crime rate is increasing. Abeg who have they been preaching to?
Look, am not a religious fellow however am a Christian and I believe in Jesus Christ.

In Nigeria we support the mediocrity as I have always said. How has preaching in the bus being a problem. If anything, it is helpful and has helped save people from depression, evil intentions and brought hope to many who are feeling down due to one situation or the other.

As far as am concerned, this is another approach to religious bigotry Nigerians have always experience and probably world wide. The things other religions won't tolerate, Christianity has had to suffer it. How would you ban a message of hope to someone who needs to hear it in the bus. If you meet with CAN and tell them to work on the content, it is a different thing. Banning it is another attack on Christianity when I look at it. It is like saying banning hijab in society and the reading of Koran to people in public places. Would Muslims tolerate that without a jihad?

Abuja, Nigeria — It plays out like a political thriller, but for Nigerian taxpayers, it is a sobering reality.
A non-existent agency—the Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC)—somehow secured a physical office in the Federal Secretariat, held meetings with diplomats, and was allocated ₦1,302,978,784 in the signed 2026 Appropriation Act. Yet, when the red flags were finally raised, the upper legislative chamber repeatedly voted to shut down its own investigation.
For a nation grappling with fiscal strain, this scandal goes far beyond one alleged “con artist”. It exposes a deep, systemic vulnerability in how Nigeria’s national budgets are prepared, vetted, and approved
Let us stop saying it is a phantom agency. It never was. It was a office created as an SPV for fund diversion. It is just the sharing formular that went bad. In order to save face, they decided to disown the guy and the agency before the guy speaks first. Afterall, it is their word against his. It is the strategy used by Umahi too. Speak first before someone else does. That way, they in control of the narrative.

4. From my observation this girl was depressed for over long time before this incident...
5. The man is a very wicked man, he has the money but still want to eat his cake and have it...
6. To all men who treat women badly have it in your mind that anytime any day whenever a woman accuse of rape know that the public will believe....
7. Sex is not food, whether see follows you to your house or hotel if she doesn't want to have sex with you let her go and stop forcing women to have sex with you...
8. And to all olosho if you don't want to have sex with them then avoid their money..
Again:
1. How can someone who claimed she was raped will ask for her remaining balance and still went ahead and said she would have gone to Abuja instead of asaba..
2. Why didn't she shout for help when he was about to rape her, instead asking for her 50k which is the fixed price...
3. As a man pray never to find your self in a situation like this..

I don't support any of them both the man and the girl .
No matter, guys should never rape. If she was in the mood before, and she changes her mind, it's her prerogative. Just lock up and wake. Its better than the troubles that comes with rape. Toto is sweet but only for a moment. The pain that comes with it when it goes south is forever. It is never worth it.
