CareerIllnesses Commonly Encounter By Call Center Agent...... by huthority01(op): 6:39am On Aug 15, 2015
1. High blood pressure
The stresses of the job are overwhelming. Working in different shifts during daytime or grave shift for straight weeks or in some cases in one straight month give Call center Agent or Customer representatives with little choice and because of time management conflict. The health of the body is generally affected. Even at the young age between 20 and 26 years and above are likely candidate for many circulatory problems. The shocking truth most call center agent have a raised blood pressure of 160/120, 190/100 and numerical sudden raise in Bps. This could be attributed to the hectic schedules of work, stress from hearing and talking to rude callers, sleep deprivation, lack of exercises, and most are prone to smoking abuse.

2. Respiratory problems
Call center agent are prone to many respiratory problems such as pneumonia, asthma, bronchitis, allergy and asthma. The causes are due to unhealthy working environment as many call center agent are subject to long hours of working. The too much cold and humidity brought by air conditioning room and presence of carpeted floors and absence of cubicles for individual agent make them more susceptible to any communicable diseases

3. Acoustic shock
Many call center agent are prone to suffer from Ear infection and acoustic shock brought by shouting and screaming from rude callers and from the telephone equipment. As the electrical feedback, non compliant switchboard, latent sonic spikes, turret headsets and electrical feedback added to annoying background noise.

4. Voice loss
Many call center agent consult speech therapist and physician to prescribe those medicines that could relax their vocal chords. Having a good voice is necessary once it is affected means no income as it could lead to absenteeism. Long hours of talking with little rest could be the main culprit leading to dry throat and sore throat due to lack of moisture from drinking little water. In severe cases, vocal strain can produce inflammation of the larynx, swelling of the vocal chords, and ulceration of the lips.

5. Ulcer
The length of time working as schedule could lead to ulcer due to inability to eat on time. The strict policy of working without any intermittent schedules is often not allowed until the shift is over. It is necessary to have a time to take a short nap; hand and back massage as sitting all day, or night time before working should be allow giving time for a brief relaxation. This could be essential to maintain a healthy body.

6. Carpal tunnels syndrome
The length of time spend in front of the computer using the mouse could affect the fingers it would lead to numbness or carpal syndrome where the median nerves is pinched within the finger tunnel causing pain, numbness off the hand. The repetitive motion that requires the uses of hand could aggravate the carpal tunnels syndrome such as writing, painting, and typing with little rest

7. Lung cancer
Many call center agent are addicted to smoking. While waiting for the shifts or from a small break from work they gather to smoke or pass the time. The long term exposure to the tobacco substances could lead to lung problems and in severe cases lung cancer.

8. Urinary tract infection
Because of the little time or no break allow. Many call center agent is given little time to pee and pressure to work continuously as brief interruption could lead loss of productivity. Both women and men could suffer from urinary tract infection and in severe cases being hospitalized or undergo surgery.

9. Depression/Anxiety

The little freedom of time to have a chance to relax could lead to depression and anxiety. Facing lot of complaint from rude client and failure to resolve the complaint could aggregate the symptoms leading to unhappiness and worry.

10. Insomnia
The inability to sleep on the normal time could lead to insomnia. Especially when one have no choice but to follow the tight working shift schedule. This could affect the body biological clock as the normal sleeping pattern are lost.

11. Anemia
Lack of iron supplements could lead to lethargic symptoms and low blood pressure. When the blood does not receive enough minerals it weakens the body health defense.

12. Gall Bladder problems
Gall bladder problems may develop due to lack of exercise from sitting all the time while working. Obesity and indigestion from upset stomach and failure to pass gas often due to constipation due to tight working schedule time. Some may forget or control their elimination when the call of duty persist duly affecting the liver. In severe cases it may require removal of gall bladder.

A human like “Angel” has fallen out of the skies over London. The extremely human like creature with what seems to be “angel” wings as arms appears to have fallen from the sky at around 1:50pm this afternoon.

The ‘Angel’ like creature was quickly rushed away by what seemed to be undercover police officers dressed in suits and sunglasses, resembling the characters in the hit movie Men in Black.

It comes just hours before NASA announced finding ‘Earth 2.0′ the most habitable planet ever discovered.

All a little freaky if you ask me.

In the Obama biography, when Barack Obama was in kenya in 1988, no one including his relatives gave him the
welcoming that he deserved, why? yes because he was poor and had
not yet joined university...his luggage was misplaced and flown to
South Africa, after doing a follow up at JKIA to have his luggage
back to Kenya, the staff at JKIA responded with rudeness, in fact at
one point he was told by one of the staff if he can't wait let him take
flight to S.A...in Kogello, Obama took a sip of Chang'aa with his
step brother Roy, he visited his aunt in kariokor market and another
one in mathare in all these visits, he received a very casual
welcoming. In fact he used to go with his grandmother SARAH
OBAMA to the market carrying a " gunia" in 2006 when he came to
Kenya as a senator of Illinois, most of the local leaders never
recognized him, he was never accorded much security 9 years later
Obarack obama will land in Kenya on Air Force One, the most
secure airplane in the world..tomorrow evening when Air Force One
will land in JKIA, everything will come to a stand still, business in East Africa largest economy,
the big city Nairobi will remain closed, security will be tighten, he will come
as the most powerful man in planet earth, President of the most
powerful nation in the world, and above all the most respected and
secured president in planet earth...this proves that time is the
most expensive and precious resource.

Ekweremadu’s fate unknown as Police confirm forgery

The Police seem to have concluded their investigations into allegations that the Senate Standing Order used for the election of the Senate President, Bukalo Saraki and his deputy, Ike Ekweremadu were forged, and have established the claim as being true.
According to reports, there were indications that the police might charge the Clerk to the National Assembly, Alhaji Salisu Maikasuwa to court for the alleged forgery of the Standing Orders.
A source revealed that the Police report which had been submitted to President Muhammadu Buhari, confirmed that the Standing Rules used to inaugurate the 8th Assembly were forged.
In the report, the Police recommended the prosecution of those found culpable of forging the orders, which had been used in the controversial election on June 9, 2015.
The report was said to have indicted the management of the National Assembly, especially Maikasuwa and recommended the prosecution of the suspects.
But the fate of Ekweremadu who was one of those quizzed by the Police in the course of their investigation into the matter was unknown last night.
Police sources declined to discuss his fate, but noted that the case file has been sent to the Federal Ministry of Justice for advice and prosecution.
Acting on a petition by Senator Sulaiman Hunkuyi (All Progressives Congress, Kaduna State), the Police had on July 6 quizzed Ekweremadu and Maikasuwa over an alleged forgery of the standing orders.
The Police, also quizzed the leadership of the 7th Senate, including former Senate President, Senator David Mark; his deputy (now Saraki’s deputy), Ike Ekweremadu; former Senate Leader, Victor Ndoma-Egba; and the former Chairman, Senate Committee on Rules and Business, Senator Ita Enang.
The Clerk to the National Assembly, Maikasuwa, who is the custodian of the Senate Standing Order was also invited for questioning by the police.
According to findings, the Police team, led by Deputy Inspector-General Danazumi Job Doma, discovered many anomalies in the said Senate Standing Orders.

The Police findings include the followings:

*The Senate Standing Orders 2007(as amended) was still in force when the 7th Senate wound up.
*There was no time the 7th Senate amended the Standing Orders or any subsisting motion as shown in the Senate Standing Orders 2015
* The Senate Standing Orders 2015 was strange and a violation of Paragraph 110 of the Senate Standing Orders 2007(as amended)
*All the principal officers of the 7th Senate interviewed admitted that the Senate Standing Orders 2007 (as amended) was not reviewed before their tenure ended.
* A clear case of forgery, manipulation, and tampering has been established.
* Those connected with the forgery should be immediately prosecuted.

PoliticsRe: Must Read: Between PMB And GEJ Visit To America by huthority01(m): 12:25pm On Jul 26, 2015
MrFairplay4ume:
Acting President Goodluck Jonathan shouldn't
have come to America. OK, I take that back. Acting
President Goodluck Jonathan shouldn't have come
to America without preparation. His speeches and
press interviews have sadly inflicted enormous
reputational violence on his person - and on
Nigeria. They were, to use the weakest expression
I can summon to capture my deep disappointment,
a pain to watch.
I had never heard Jonathan speak before. I'd just
assumed that being a Ph.D. and a former lecturer,
articulateness in speech would be the least of his
problems. How wrong I had been. His performance
at the (American) Council on Foreign Relations was
a disaster of epic proportions. Let's not even talk
about his CNN interview with Christiane Amanpour.
That was a dismal fizzle. No Nigerian who wants to
retain his national self-esteem should watch it.
What the eyes do not see, they say, the heart does
not grieve over.
On Wednesday, I visited the
NigeriaVillageSquare.com, like I always do, and
saw a video of Goodluck Jonathan's Q & A session
at the Council on Foreign Relations posted on the
site's front page. I left everything aside and
decided to watch it. I'd just finished arguing with a
group of Nigerians who thought Jonathan wasn't
presidential in his carriage.
They said he looked intimidated and unsure of
himself before Obama. But I thought otherwise.
The pictures of him I saw looked to me dignified,
presidential, and admirably self-assured. I
managed to convince some of my online
interlocutors that they were mistaken in their
assessment of the acting president's composure
and mien throughout his U.S. visit.
So, when I saw the video, I looked forward to
watching it with a lot of enthusiasm. I had an
expectation that I would listen to a clear-headed,
intelligent, confident exposition on Nigeria from
Jonathan. But less than five minutes into the video
I felt so embarrassed for the man - and for Nigeria
- that my teeth itched. Just then a colleague of
mine strolled into my office. I instinctively and
furtively stopped the video and minimized the
window with the anxiety, alacrity, guilt, and
embarrassment that a self-respecting family man
caught watching dirty porn would evince.
And that was precisely what my colleague thought
I was doing. So she apologized and left
immediately, half-embarrassed too. I was so
thoroughly mortified by Jonathan's performance
that I didn't want anybody else, not least a non-
Nigerian, to watch it.
What did he say in the Q & A session that was so
atrocious? Well, you will have to watch the video -
or read the transcript - yourself. No second-hand
recapitulation will do justice to the abysmal
emptiness it betrays. But a few things stood out in
bold relief from watching that video. First, this man
is clearly thoroughly provincial. He does not know
the ways of the world and is not emotionally and
socially prepared for the job of a president - yet.
After former U.S. ambassador to Nigeria Mr.
Howard Jeter introduced him to the audience with
lavishly laudatory prefatory remarks, he didn't even
acknowledge the remarks. He didn't say a word
about the introduction. Jeter described him as "a
man of uncommon loyalty, impeccable integrity,
and an immense commitment to Nigeria and to the
welfare of the Nigerian people." That's some pretty
strong praise. But that's not the reason why he
should have acknowledged Jeter's remarks.
Protocol requires that he does so even if the
praise weren't this flattering. That he didn't say
"thank you Ambassador Jeter for that warm
introduction" or something to that effect was just
socially awkward.
But I forgave him that gaucherie. I chalked it up to
the fact that he was probably too intimidated to
have the presence of mind to observe
commonplace conversational niceties. Who
wouldn't be? America can intimidate the hell out of
even the most self-assured person, especially from
the Third World.
Then came his speech. It was unbelievably dull,
colorless, and uninspiring. Whoever wrote that
speech for him needs some basic training in
speech writing. Although he could have enlivened
the drab, rhetorically impoverished, error-laden,
cliché-ridden speech with an artful delivery, I
didn't blame him for it. I held out hope that he
would prove his intellectual verve in the Q & A
session.
How wrong was I again! His performance in the Q
& A session was worse than the speech he'd read.
He couldn't articulate a coherent thought, hardly
made a complete sentence, went off on
inconsequential and puerile tangents, murdered
basic grammar with reckless abandon, repeated
trifles ad nauseam, was embarrassingly stilted, and
generally looked and talked like a timid high
school student struggling to remember his
memorized lines in a school debate. It was
obvious that even Ambassador Jeter was
embarrassed.
The point at which I stopped watching the video
was when he started answering a question about
what Nigeria's foreign policy is. This man had no
clue what Nigeria's foreign policy is! I felt deep
pity for the acting president and for Nigeria. But
why didn't his assistants prepare him to answer a
question as basic as Nigeria's foreign policy? How
could he accept an invitation to speak at the
Council on FOREIGN Relations and not give a
thought to Nigeria's foreign policy?
This was a painful piece to write. Our acting
president came across like someone who is barely
literate. His grammar was awful. He doesn't seem
to be aware that there is something called subject-
verb agreement, as evidenced in statements like, "I
wish to thank the esteemed members of the
Council on Foreign Relations for its continued
interest in Nigerian affairs," "issues of corruption
bothers us," etc. And "Muslim faithfuls"? Well,
there is no word like "faithfuls" in the English
language, Mr. Acting President. And by "sectoral
crisis between Muslims" did he mean "sectarian
crisis between Muslims"? Hmm.
He also came across as thoroughly insular and
unsophisticated. How else could he promise an
American audience that he would make "50, 60, 70
percent" progress on his promises? Those are
failing grades in America, Mr. Acting President!
Doesn't he have advisers who went to school in
America? In America, 50 percent is "F," 60 percent
is "grin," and 70 percent is "C" minus.
Finally, he came across as unfathomably clueless.
Just look at this statement as an example:
"Muslims and Christians are not at war and they
will never be at war as far as my own
circumstances." Seriously? Enough said.

HealthQuit Sugar For Good! by huthority01(op): 11:50am On Jul 26, 2015
The average person takes in 22 teaspoons of sugar daily. This is more than three times the amount suggested by nutritionists. Although it has never been considered a health food, new evidence shows sugar can do even more damage than previously thought. Extra calories raise your risk of obesity, which in turn sets you up for diabetes and heart disease.

But weaning yourself off sugar can be daunting. It’s tough to dodge because it hides in so many foods, and it provides an almost addictive. Cutting down on sugar is really worth trying, so go for your sugar rehab today and make your commitment stick. Go for your sugar detox!

Beware of refined sugar

The biggest sugar offender to steer clear of is refined white sugar, the kind spooned into coffee or added to baked goods. The bloodstream absorbs this simple sugar quickly, causing surges in blood glucose levels and insulin that can wreak havoc on the body.

Refined sugar is added to most food products during processing so beware. Avoid sugar passed off as molasses, honey, and maple syrup even though they’re not processed the way refined white sugar is, they have the same harmful effect.

Sweeteners could be worse

Exchanging sugar in favor of a chemical sweetener like aspartame or saccharin may not be the answer. Artificial sweeteners provide sweet taste without calories, so when you consume these products, hunger isn’t satisfied, leading you to crave more afterward.

Natural sugar is okay

The types of sugar you don’t have to avoid are found naturally in foods, such as fructose in fruit and lactose in milk products. These get a pass as long as you consume them in their original food form. Fruit, for instance, contains an amount of sugar that is in better proportion with the amount of fibre and other nutrients in it. These other nutrients mitigate sugar’s harmful effect.

Don’t be in a rush

Going sugar-free very abruptly can lead to crazy-intense withdrawal symptoms such as headaches, anxiety, and mood swings. It’s better to ease yourself off it slowly by taking one step at a time, so your body has time to adjust. Slower changes tend to last, says Avena, especially when it comes to diet change.

Give up sugary drinks

Soft drinks, fruit juice, sports drinks, iced tea—these and other sweetened beverages are sneaky sources of added sugar. One can of cola, for example, adds up to nine cubes, already a third more than the six cubes daily recommended limit. Sweetened beverages or drinks made from fruit juice are like liquid sugar, and they add lots of calories without satisfying hunger.

No to pastries

Pastries, cookies, muffins, and other white-bread, refined-flour treats offer little nutrition-wise but are dense with added sugar. And since they’re not hard to identify, it’s easy to slash them from your diet.

They mess with blood sugar levels, setting up a cycle of grabbing a donut or muffin for energy that doesn’t last, says Kohn. Instead, get your carb fix with whole grains. These are converted to sugar during digestion, but because they’re the complex kind rather than the simple type, they’re absorbed more slowly and provide steady energy.

Ease off table sugar

If you’re used to adding sweetener to your food and drinks, give yourself time to ease out of the habit. Typically start your day with two spoons of sugar or honey in your tea or coffee? Cut back to one sugar for a week, then slash it to zero a week later—or sweeten it with a slice of orange or a little milk.

Same thing with the sugar you put on top of French toast or cereal, or the maple syrup doused on your pancakes. Gradually reducing the amount will make it less noticeable that you’re cutting back, and you’ll be less craving-crazed for a sugar hit.

Pile protein on your plate

Cutting out sugar is the perfect

excuse to indulge in more healthy fats (nuts, olive oil, avocado, dairy) and lean protein (eggs, turkey, and legumes). Both keep you feeling satiated and energized, preventing the blood sugar rise and fall that can lead to hard-to-resist sugar cravings.

A protein breakfast help you start the day off right. Have a breakfast with protein and fat as the stars, like eggs and avocado, instead of the traditional starch and sugar combo, like a muffin or sweetened cereal.

Go with naturally sweet flavors

To satisfy a sweet tooth without resorting to refined sugar, try cinnamon or vanilla extract added to coffee, cereal, or baked goods. They offer a sweet taste without sugar’s side effects, and zero calories.
