Romance / Re: Why Do Nigerians Worship Rich People? by Hylla05: 2:49pm On Sep 08, 2021
They say "In a country of the blind, the one-eyed man is king"
So in a country of mostly poor people, the rich man will be seen as king. I don't blame them

I smell envy grin grin, no graduate is fully equipped with all the skills necessary to land a job, that's why their employers enroll them for further training. First class is an asset, don't let anyone tell you otherwise
I never said first-class was useless but it's just the way some people overvalue it. I know about 3 first-class graduates who are hustling on the street today. Elon Musk of Tesla and spacex doesn't even care if you've never been to school if you have the skills the need. Nigerian schools teach 95% theory. And why will I be envious of first class when I am out of the uni since and doing well? grin

How about the ones with the skills? Don't be envious!
Can't u read and comprehend? Reread what I wrote. I said "so many" not all. Remember many valuable companies in the world today don't even require degrees. They will still bypass the first class students in order to fix their kinsmen. Quota system people.
You may be true but I also don't support giving them jobs just because of first class. There are so many first-class graduates who lack basic skills for jobs

It's not the same all over Nigeria, we can't have this kind of structure as school in Delta or Lagos or port Harcourt.
Remove Lagos and delta from that list. Let me just assume you are locked in a city and don't know the situation of most govt schools in Nigeria

I know what I'm talking about, I have teach in 3 private school in the north, I have been to all state in north west.
I know quite well there are other tribes in the north apart from Hausa and Fulani, even though Hausa is a major language there. I know the is difference between Hausa spoken in north east than that spoken in north west.

I have nupe friends, I have a funsua friends from Kaduna.

If u look at my first quote I excepted state capital, but going to other local government, there schools are usually very poor with poor building like this.

As for private school, the building might be better with even ok laboratories, but the standard of education is still very poor compared to the south.
This is not even an argument, waec and jamb result is there as proof.
These private school in the north cannot produce best performing student in waec or jamb.
Then blame the unserious students not the school. I did excellently in my jamb and was without any malpractice and my school is not in the state capital and it's not even among the best schools around. The problem with poor performance from states like zamfara, Sokoto, borno etc are because high percentage of students are Fulani/Hausa dominants who hate school. It's just because jamb/waec don't release performance analysis based on ethnicit if not 80% of failure will come from those guys. If you really teach in North you'll understand what I'm saying. Talking of best performance, it's the student's hard work that will make him/her to be the best. Visit the schools where the best students come from I am sure you'll find students who failed. I am not here to compare north and south, I know you guys beat us in terms of education but intelligence is based on brains and environment not region

Not only in the North, even here in the South West.

I kid you not.
You are the only person saying the truth here. In all the States I have been to across the country 9 out of 10 govt schools look like dump sites

And how many northern state have u travelled to?
Besides while private school may have better buildings they are not that much and they are definitely not doing well in terms of academy.
You lied here too. All most all private secondary schools in the North are doing well in academics even though I haven't been to all states. Some of you guys just have the mentality that everybody in the north is a Fulani or Hausa muslim whch is completely false. States like Adamawa, Taraba, Bauchi and Gombe have more people of other ethnic groups than Hausa/Fulani who don't want to go schl

Funny enough apart from each state capital, this is how all schools are in the north, I kid u not.
Na lie. I did my secondary school in Adamawa. Most private schools are doing well, it's just the govt schools and this is not just applicable to North. Post pictures of all govt schools around u let's see
