Fool, the issue at stake here and purpose of this thread is Rivers and nothing more. I care less about what happens in those states because i seriously dont know what is going on there but here in Rivers, i dey kampe and i perfectly know what is going on in here.
However, thanks for confirming that allocation increased at a time of very low oil price. The general is surely doing what jonah-daft in his extremely daft state simply couldn't do. I expect Wike to thank the General for plugging those holes Jonah-daft created thereby denying the state of the right funds before now.
LOL u foolish no be small
Osun received 5bn per month until around August
So wen did ur mouth action president gave Osun 5bn

Also Kudos to the President, General Buhari whose actions and inactions has ensured that Rivers has more resources than what she was receiving when Jonah-daft was in power all within two months of being in charge. Buharis prudence and blockages which Jonah-daft spear headed has made Wike to have more resources to play with even at that the thug still went ahead to borrow 30Billion naira in less than 30 days.

The increase is good news for the struggling state governments. For instance, one of the top states, Rivers, which received N8.9 billion in the month of May got an increased sum of N12.6 billion for June, while a state like Gombe got N4.37 billion which is an increase from the N2.98 billion it received in May.

All the sites of those pictures remains the same till date after huge sums of money has been paid to his political dubious contractors otherwise let him make public the amount of money that has been paid for those projects lets compare with the amount of work done.

200Million times, there s no perimeter whatsoever to compare Wike to Amaechi because they are not just in the same class. Rotimi Amaechi is and will continue to be Kilometers away from Wike in all aspects of Governance and Leadership.

Mr. Paul Ikonne,

One Million Mocks from the PDP will not force Buhari into hastily putting unqualified people into positions, from any Region as that was one of the main reason's Jonathan failed.

Mr. Paul Ikonne, in the APC we do not use words like rewards. If there is a qualified person from the East, then by all means he or she should be put in charge of the job. We will not say, because we want to placate the East in anyway, then put in mediocre's to do a job meant for a qualified technocrat.

Politics › Osun Stakeholders Drag Aregbesola Before EFCC, Submit Petition by HzRF(op): 9:59am On Aug 11, 2015
A group, Osun Stakeholders, on Monday in Lagos delivered to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) a petition against the Osun State governor, Mr Rauf Aregbesola, urging the anti-graft agency to investigate an alleged financial recklessness of the governor in the last five years.
The petition dated August 10, 2015 and submitted at the EFCC’s Lagos office was titled: “Petition against Governor Rauf Aregbesola for financial recklessness, corruption, money laundering and fraudulent application of Osun State’s resources,” was signed by the conveners of the group, Messrs Niyi Owolade and Yinka Odumakin and addressed to the commission’s chairman.
In the petition, a copy of which was made available to newsmen after it was submitted by Odumakin at the Commission’s Lagos office, the group called for a forensic audit of the Osun government accounts.
The group, which bemoaned the series of loans obtained by the Aregbesola’s government, said that the petition was borne out of the resolution reached at its stakeholder’s summit held on July 23, 2015.
Part of the petition read: “It is instructive to note that after the summit on Osun State on July 23, where the whistle was blown, Rauf Aregbesola gave another figure through one of his aides, Mr Semiu Okanlawon, now claiming that Osun State got N177 billion from Federation Account (not N108 billion again) and N27 billion Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) (against N43 billion verifiable) totalling N204 billion instead of N317 billion.
“Governor Aregbesola, three years ago, launched with fanfare, a computer project called Opon Imo through which N8.4 billion was squandered, yet there is no tablet in operation in the state, till today.
“We are also aware that while salaries of members of staff remain unpaid, Governor Aregbesola has been drawing security votes in the region of N502 million every month. We request that these votes be audited to determine if same is truly being spent on security.
“In view of the foregoing, it is clear that Rauf Aregbesola has mortgaged the future of the state. It is, therefore imperative that the EFCC get to the root of the financial scam committed by Aregbesola’s government.
“It might be necessary to unveil the companies, who are beneficiaries of the white elephant projects embarked upon with these loans.”
Addressing newsmen thereafter, Odumakin, assured that the group was poised to ensure that the EFCC wade into the alleged corruption, financial recklessness, among other vices that had characterised the regime of Aregbesola by investigating the governor and bring him to justice.

Politics › Lasun Shuns APC Lawmakers’ Summit On Osun Financial Cris by HzRF(op): 8:34am On Aug 11, 2015
The Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mr. Lasun Yusuf, on Monday shunned the summit organised to proffer solutions to the financial crisis rocking Osun State.

The Osun Legislators’ Forum, comprising of lawmakers from Abuja and the House, convened the summit with a view to solving the current financial crisis in the state.

Although the Deputy Governor, Mrs. Titi Laoye-Tomori, and Senator Isiaka Adeleke also were not present at the summit, their absence did not raise questions like Lasun’s.

The summit was attended by Governor Rauf Aregbesola; former Governor Olagunsoye Oyinlola; a former Chief of Defence Staff, Air Marshal, Oluseyi Petinrin (retd.), monarchs and other prominent leaders in the state.

Lasun’s absence further fuelled speculations that the rift which his emergence as the deputy speaker caused between him and Aregbesola had not been settled.

Lasun, who represents Osogbo/ Olorunda/ Orolu Federal Constituency, had defied the position of the All Progressives Congress to contest the position of the deputy speaker and he won.

The APC Elders’ Forum in Osun State asked him to resign and advocated that he should be sanctioned, but the lawmaker rejected their calls.

One of the legislators, Alhaja Ayo Omidiran, had announced on Saturday that the lawmakers decided to come up with the idea in order to find solutions to the economic crisis confronting the state.

When asked why Lasun was not present at the Saturday press conference, Omidiran said the lawmaker was being expected to attend the summit.

At the event, the Chairman of Nigeria Labour Congress in Osun State, Mr. Jacob Adekomi, faulted the claim of Governor Rauf Aregbesola administration that the state monthly wage bill is N3.6bn. He also said that the number of the state’s workforce was not as huge as claimed by the state government.

Adekomi said this in his presentation at a stakeholders’ meeting, organised by the Osun Legislators’ Forum in Osogbo to proffer solutions to the problems confronting the state.

He said the union would not support any plan to sack workers, saying they were ready to submit themselves for staff audit to ascertain the actual number of workers.

He said, “Retrenchment of workers is not a solution to the problem of the state. We have always support the government and we will continue to support the government.

“Let the state government stop using consultants to do what civil servants can do. If at all the state government will use consultants it should be minimal and their commission should not exceed 10 per cent.

“Osun State wage bill is not up to N3.6bn that the government is claiming. Workers are not up to 35,000 which is the government’s figure. That was why we agreed to submit ourselves for screening to know how many we are. There are some persons on the state government’s pay roll who are not workers.”

The NLC chairman, who spoke in Yoruba, also advised the Osun State Government to withdraw from joint ownership of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso.

He said that the state should leave the university for Oyo State and merge whatever assets got from it with the Osun State University. According to him, the state does not have the capacity to finance more than one university at the moment.

“Let Osun stop the joint ownership of LAUTECH with Oyo State. We should merge our part of the school with UNIOSUN. This will save the government the subventions spending on the university,” he said.
