Lol! hard to stop laughing at "I Neva use my money finish for their hospital..." yea, you should get your money's worth besides, since you recommended them to me they will give you some special treatments because the doctor I met explained to me how he likes reciprocating such gestures. So, If I happen to meet you there and tell him you're the one who recommended his hospital to me,he just might give you back your 100k

awwwww that means you won't be around and I was hoping to see you there one of these days Like I said yesterday; I felt at home right away at Queensway and didn't feel the need to go checkout Teejay .I guess God wants it that way given how I missed my way going to Teejay's in the first place.

I'm telling you; 120k for antenatal, 180k for V.D then by the time you add room charge and other bills the money goes up. I plan to register there next week and I hope they're not trying to cheat me; please check your list and let me know.

In my own case, all five fingers plus wrist if not more were inserted. Fear dey even catch me just recalling it. I think we just have to prep our minds for it. I'll still ask my doctor if it's really necessary to have the sweep as I won't mind skipping it.

They do it for the purpose of starting labour. It wasn't a pleasant experience in my first pregnancy and to think I have to go through it again...hmmm. On another note, I can't thank you enough. I checked out Queensway and was blown away. I planned going to check out Teejays hospital first but got lost as I went all the way to a place after Ajah before asking for directions. I almost cried when the guy giving me directions asked me to turn back. I had to turn back into the insane traffic continuing my search for Teejays but decided to make a stop first at Queensway which fortunately was on my side of the road. I walked in there and I must say I feel really glad that I did. By the way, the nice doctor I met kept wanting to know who referred me. Annnnnnnnd... that amount you mentioned they charge is totally different from what I was told oo. Na 180k for V.D apart from any other thing.

Hi i4eva, I think so... St Kizito hospital seems very good and the staff are courteous, seem to know what they're doing and ready to answer all questions. So far so good... If you are along this axis, they may be worth checking out

I use QueensWay hospital at ikota firstgate when am in lag,120k for antenatal registration(it cover all test nd scan till delivery)70k for delivery Nd 200+ for Cs.d list will be given to u as soon as u register buh i use general hospital in sch.u can try d hospital..it's very good.

Thanks a bunch this is very helpful. My only fear is the usual heavy traffic turning from Ajah which is why I'm hoping to find hospitals around Lekki phase 1 upto Jakande as I'm sure it won't be fun being stuck in traffic while in labour.

No friends yet to ask questions so decided to join NL hoping the good mummies on here can help me out.

So here are my questions... please answer me as much as you can I beg of you. I want these to guide my choice of hospital and to help me be prepared. Thank you so much in advance!

How much does it cost roughly to have a baby in general/ private hospitals?
Is it all hospitals that will give me a list of things to bring in preparation for labour?
What are the items on the list?

Can't think of anything else to ask but please let me know what else I need to consider. Thank you

Woke up around 3am just crying my eyes out...my sobs woke my little madam up.was having mild headache and seriously running temp.plus correct powerful muscle pull.had to place a call to my neighbour in my former hood crying to her abt my not bn too sound.

Am trying to sleep now,temp stable now,just baby dooyin mee serious shaking shaking n turning turning.

Hmmmm... things women go through. It will surely end in praise by God's grace.

Please dear mamas, I'm yet to attach myself to any hospital. Apart from St. Kizito are there any other ones within the same vicinity? I mean closer to Lekki phase 1

@Nimi22: when I was around 24 weeks or so, I got those headaches but was scared to take any medications; I ate Liver (for a different reason entirely) and the headache stopped. About Water; I dare not leave home without my flask of warm Water. Our preggy bodies needs more Water now than ever before. So my dear please drink up.
