Obaseki is so full of himself but since the State power reside with him , PDP members decided to chill while it lasts. I remember it took him time to appoint commissioners due to internal wranglings within the party and himself . Now is the time to prove a point or two to him.

Talba Minna,
He wasn’t the best but tried so much for Niger State.
Stopped the sharia imposed by Kure.
I can still remember Talba buses conveying us at #50 from Bosso - GK Campus.
A man that brought life to Niger.
He may not be among the greats but he tried for his State.
Quick recovery Sir.

Yes , he brought quite a number of reform to Minna , the Niger State capital. I was working at COE adjacent Tradoc then . Minna was livelier...we even did Street carnival around F- layout

Good indeed undecided

Servant Governor wey dey use over 50 convoy and over 150 aides. Be deceiving yourself!

The fact you believed there's a good politician in Nigeria shows the level of your intelligence.

There was no time he uses 50 convoys cos i used to live close to his house when he was in power on Peter Sarki road off Bay Clinic road. I wouldn't know about the number of aides though

Politics / Re: Senate Moves To Establish Local Government Independent Electoral Commission by IamCookie(f): 3:52pm On Jul 19
How is the Federal agency going to be different from SIECs ?! I believe the senate is simply looking for a place or agency to bring in those that may lose their jobs when INEC takes over , hence the move. Alternatively , they will never be independent

I knew that was the intent as soon as they moved all pensioners verification details to LASPEC. A big kudos to our ' talk and do ' governor . Reasonable Nigerians are proud of you.

The question you asked is actually very tricky. Not because I don't have straight answer to it but the hypocrisy behind it.

People would be blaming government, questioning the football club they support for not winning the league yet they can't even say this is what they have achieved since they have been condemning others. Before blaming the government, are you saying your success is tied with government?

Before questioning others, have you questioned yourself?

Now , this reply is Epic! Thank you grin
Religion / Re: Idowu Iluyomade Resigns Pastoral Appointment With RCCG by IamCookie(f): 8:48pm On Jun 09
sweetrace:

Jesus dined with people who were not Christians. The first time Jesus performed a miracle was at a wedding. The bible did not say it was that of a religious leader. People ate , drank, and had a good time at the wedding.
The pastor and his wife celebrated the party with people you feel are not Christians. If you had been alive when Jesus walked on earth, I hope you would not have joined the Pharisees and Sadducees to criticise Jesus.

People talking about the Igwe’s being large financiers of the church forget something. The Bible says to not tell a rich man come and sit in this prominent seat, and the poor man sit in this insignificant one. Poor people have died in the church. No one stopped their plans because of them. Why should the rich be treated differently.

Jesus talked about a poor woman who gave her last coin as an offering. He said even though her offering was so small, it was seen as more than the huge offerings by the rich. Hers was a sacrifice while theirs was a drop in the ocean of their wealth. I am sure the pastor and his wife would definitely have mourned with the Igwe family. But to treat them based on the size of their contributions would have been so wrong.

End of my epistle!!

Well said , Sis.

Politics / Re: Tinubu's Silence And Unreported Achievements - Tunde Rahman by IamCookie(f): 6:13pm On Jun 03
TheOgaBoss:
achievements are felt, not communicated. when ur policies work, the effects will be felt and u don't need to communicate it, when the federal roads are all good, people playing it don't need to be told, when there is security, people don't need to be told...etc.

There is always a time lag between when policies are implemented and felt. May not necessarily be immediate. That is my point .

Communication about its benefits and FAQs for those that might wanna know more is key.
Politics / Re: Tinubu's Silence And Unreported Achievements - Tunde Rahman by IamCookie(f): 6:31am On Jun 02
Like Reno Omokri opined , Tinubu administration need to do more in terms of communicating to Nigerians about what they are doing or what they have done. By this , Nigerians will be able to assess and evaluate the impact in real time.

May our leaders succeed and the citizenry be relieved from unnecessary situation that have plunged the nation into.

Romance / Re: Why Our Old Time Friends Are Now Strangers Due To Change In Financial Status. by IamCookie(f): 12:43am On May 18
In Life , I have learnt to never say never.

There is this friend of ours , whom we thought wasn't meeting up in most spheres we felt matters and as a result quite a number of us had the believe that she may not do so well after all. But we were all wrong. Nature proved us all wrong...

Now , almost everyone wants to identify with her. Today's realities made her selective and I believe it was a function of the relationship that existed in the past.

At times, it is hardly the fault of the bigger levels ....
Do good always and no downgrading cos u just never can tell.

Have you checked the law of diminishing returns to eliminate the factors contributing to the outcome?

The economy is biting really hard... Yes , I think she needs to rearrange those factors , avoid wastage and reduce stock. Also, she might consider moving to a better location where more sales are assured like nearness to schools where these range of goods can go quickly...

I also like the way the woman puts it when she says , " She wondered why the government at various levels hardly paid attention to the suffering and cry of the common man." It shows that she has sense and knows that govt isn't just Tinubu ONLY...

DestinyNigga:

If Igbo have Biafra today, can Yoruba and Hausa unite together and form one country? The reason why your region is begging for Nigeria unity is that you know that you can't survive without one Nigeria. You don't like Igbos and you don't want Igbos in your region. We are not asslickers like ur region.

There may be no need for unity to forming one country but there can be unity to grow through trade , R&grin in specific areas , training among others. Both regions can feel much comfortable in dealings...
What do you mean by begging ? Oh! Maybe you mean insulting almost every other tribe and believing you are superior to others , yet your leaders are always asking for the support and crawling at the feet of Yoruba leaders to be able to grow .
I guess you didn't know that y'all cannot boast of self sufficiency in any area without reckoning with the other parts of the country , so it will be fallacious form any numero uno.

There is no where in my response to the person I quoted that I said Yorubas do not like Igbo or want them in our region , but your empty head is stylishly looking for ways to change the narrative so that others can join and help you out.

Paid agitation. Paid by Tinubu as usual to send signal to his northern critics that Yoruba will secede from Nigeria if Tinubu's government is sabotaged.
Tinubu sponsored same Yoruba Nation agitators before the 2023 General elections as Plan B in case Buhari refused to hand power over to Tinubu.
Yoruba Nation agitators even waved flags of Yoruba Nation in front of London Chatham House while Tinubu was speaking inside the House.

Thank you sir. Your level of intelligence is well noted

To tell you the truth, if Hausa/Fulani conduct military coup today, they will definitely succeed. Do you expect SS,SE or middle belt to come to your rescue? That when you will know the full meaning of OYO. You have succeeded in making enemy with your Southern brothers.

Noone or tribe has succeeded in making an enemy ..it simply shows that you have never been friend with your brothers from the outset. Everything your side does is to blame the other side for your ineptitude or failures. And soon y'all will come here and start denigrating the Northerners as if they are nothing. I think they are smarter and in unison , considerably
Politics / Re: Where Is Amaechi As Rivers Political Leaders Take Sides In Wike, Fubara Rift? by IamCookie(f): 1:52pm On Apr 27
Rotimi Amaechi ...I like him.

Wike wanted to stain Amaechi's record and performance while in that office as governor of Rivers State but Amaechi ignored him.

To him , actions speak louder than word. Wike set up a panel of inquiry to indict Amaechi and to summon him but Amaechi understood clearly ...

It's better that the indigenes and residents of Rivers State are seeing it as it is ...

He is a fulfilled politician that I admire so much cool

In one of his interviews , I recall when he talked about some police officers at a checkpoint asking 'anything for the boyz' , after he had introduced himself to them... cheesy grin

Man said his wife pinched him and he couldn't respond accordingly cos his family were in the car.

I liked the way he presented that scenario and his gestures while showing dissatisfaction and disapproval of it.

Politics / Re: 95 Million Nigerians Need To Register For NIN, Says NIMC by IamCookie(f): 2:03pm On Apr 16
NIN has now become a big deal.

The other day , I approached a population registration centre and enquire about doing the new NPC Birth attestation as a result of the mandatory onboarding to their database and then I got a shock. The shock is that it will cost #20,000 to get the attestation.

I think the govt needs to do more in terms of coming out to State the price and to create a feedback process in case there is any staff that pushes it upward . This is supposed to make sense but for corruption. Everyone is trying to cash out ...

Never say Never! She might eventually cling unto something bigger. All she needs is to be cleared and Nigerian politicians will work the magic , provided she belongs to the right click.

This clarification is important ... as it's earlier been misconstrued to mean she isn't complicit in the arrangement. Lets wait until she's cleared.
