nairamaniac: Buhari and his cronies invested Nigeria's money into Dangote's refinery. So why would they want any of our national refineries to work before Dangote's Refinery? Even if this information is/was correct , then more blame should go to the mismanagement by Buhari administration and less to Tinubu. |

frankyychiji: There was no desperation anywhere. The only desperate situation then was insecurity. And you can see it still festering and waxing strong!
Transition committee briefing is not enough to give you proper insight on what's truly on ground.
As pissed as buhari claimed he was with subsidy, he never axed it on his first day at work and eight years later.
Removing petrol subsidy may be a good thing, but you don't do it until you have all the facts.
What were the safety nets he put in place to cushion the serious fall out of such removal?
Now, he and his team are running from pillar to post dusting up palliatives that insults Nigerians further and you say the man has sense in his head. Who puts the cart before the horse?
Tinubu was driven by hasty arrogance that's all! Insecurity ONLY !?? Are you serious The basic roles of govt is stabilisation, allocation and distribution roles and almost everyone knows that the economy is bleeding , how then does the govt begin to allocate so that security can be adequately cater to , knowing that peace is a precursor to development? If the economy Isn't buoyant , then the insecurity situation will worsen over time. Maybe you don't understand the reason for setting up a transition committee. It's to enable the incoming govt to hit the ground running using every info at their disposal. Well , Buhari didn't remove it in its entirety but he did an assessment and evaluation of the consumption side , and this further led to constant borrowings ,that affected the nation. Even , he himself couldn't factor it in the next budget. It was economically bad for him to give considerations to it , after winning his 2nd term. Subsidy is better put into production rather than consumption. Buhari transfered all the burden on Tinubu ,leaving just a month after his inauguration to face issues without him , looking into short term plan to alleviate people suffering immediately after. Buhari isn't a good leader. Moving from pillar to post is the team doing their work. It is a normal proceeding. It shows they want things to get better. They get paid for doing their job - don't pity them. After all , govt is a continuum! |

jkpbestseries: Tufiakwa....! Repair one refinery before subsidy removal, he wants to claim hard man. Now Naira has no value again When former President Goodluck Jonathan wanted to remove fuel subsidy , did he repair one refinery before the act that eventually led to a Nationwide protest !? Times are different! Why not refer to the 8-year Buhari administration for making matter worse and not making it easy for Tinubu administration , a proper rake-off. A whole 8-years oOo , no successful/ complete TAM of any of the refinery |

okoroemeka: this is a very good question, infact the so called special adviser is not even appointed yet or any economic team, them who advised our president to make that speech?courage from drugs?gaffe? arrogance or simply joking,,maybe hubris, but what all Nigerians know now is that the subsidy removal and floating of the naira is a catastrophic mistake, that is the reason buhari refused to do those things It is not a.good question. He ( Onanuga ) was one of the media person closest to BAT during his electioneering campaign and afterward. Kindly note that before any new govt will be coming on board , a transition team would have been set up by both the incoming and the outgoing to get all necessary information to work on prior to him taking the mantle. The incoming also get important briefings , including that of security , so he ( Tinubu and his team ) knows much before inauguration and much more after . Desperate times require desperate measures |

Gabangel: On the false claim part, I think, when you present your receipt, they do not use any device to check whether its true before letting you in. Unfortunately, its possible some officers might do some tricky stuff. Then on the part of deliberate delay, where I went, we had a crowd. And someone said the last time he was there, the number was few so he was attended to in a more quickly fashion. On the last one, I think I have to agree with you. Many people told me how they collected their passports after five days last year but now its turning to more than a week and I havent gotten mine. I think I would advice people to avoid the Head quarters, and go to states that has very few crowd issues. Benue and Niger have been known for quick output, but I don't know this time that everything is online. Unfortunately when it comes to capturing, it should be the immigration officers, its like that everywhere...I think I agree with you that a target completion should be used but as you know, this is government stuff...they would be as slow as they choose too. Maybe outsourcing is a good thing after all. But its only here that I hear getting passport you applied for is like taking JAMB if you are not careful. Yea. Like you rightly affirmed also ,from deking's point, it will be better to outsource the capturing stage . I did mine back then in Niger State ( quickly issued ) . Maybe I should get to Zuba and take a car to Minna in order to avoid unnecessary delay. Na dis kidnapping thingy dey make me scared of moving freely . I trust Gabangel to bring the ransom , in case |

Please which country did you originate from, if I may ask? Well, my intent was different from all you have written here. Not everyone knows how to use it. I used to make that error too before I was corrected, Since we are here to learn and also continue learning , it suffice that I should say something. Even if I were to be writing Pidgin or creole , when I get to that point to use such , I'd write it correctly. No judgement! |

This is commendable! I have had cause to see a public servant that couldn't recite the National pledge in one of the events I attended at a local government Secretariat. I was flabbergasted! If it were to be the National anthem , there may not be that much of a surprise but national pledge . Another disappointment was during a screening exercise ...that was the only requirement left for her to get absorbed ( employed ). |

Additionally, produce the section of the national constitution that allows such interference with the activities of governance by ex-governors.
This is a joke taken too far. How are you so sure that former Gov. Wike nominated all these commissioners that resigned to Fubara , for appointment !? Cos I can see the narrative most of y'all haters of Gov. Wike are selling to Nairalanders but don't want anyone to refute. Given the recent crises in Rivers State , I, may decide to resign my appointment , if I notice that the conditions of service is no longer congenial , regardless of who appoints me.
