My BS :
Hmmm, where do I start from so I dont write a complete book? God has been merciful to me all through the years. I ttc for 7 years so when I found I was pregnant at exactly 7years I decided that nothing will happen to this pregnancy. All through the 1st trimester till 3rd trimester I didn't even feel like I was pregnant. Everything was just normal except for the nausea that comes & go.
At 34 weeks my Dr advice we should do elective CS or induced me since the baby was matured & wt our years of ttc that we shouldn't take any chances. I declined because I was scared of surgery (my younger sis died during her 3rd CS) so I guess the trauma was still in me so I declined saying that I'll try normal delivery.
@36 weeks I started having contraction but I didn't know it was contraction. I thought it was the baby playing makosa in the tummy. At week 37 I packed my bag & go to the hospital, I was checked & they said I was 3cm. I agreed to be induced & the Dr inserted a tablet around 7am, I started having contraction but not that serious. By 11am another tablet was inserted that if it didn't work they can do the CS. Gosh, the contraction started fully yet I wasnt passing 4 - 5cm. I was weak & couldn't bear it again. Water has broken since 2pm & the baby was already in distressed. I was worried & at point I started shouted that the Dr should come & do her CS o. I never knew contraction can be so painful (hmmm, mothers are trying. ). When it was around 8:30pm the Dr checked me & said I was 8cm already that I should bear the pain I declined that she shud go ahead wt the CS. Na so the baby was brought out by 8:58pm & the Drs were shouting the baby is big o (weigh 3.3kg) while scan was saying 2.5kg.
CS pain isn't Moinmoin but I thank God that it worth the pain looking at the baby anytime I feel relieved because even after birth my baby was placed on oxygen for 2days because she was having respiratory disorder abi wat do they call it?
Though I'm trusting maybe I can have a VBirth in my next pregnancy.
To all the awaiting mothers I pray God will do it & the preggy sisters easy birth injn.

Yes, you can start bathing but don't scrub the area with sponge. Treat gently and clean the area with menthylated spirit and cotton wool

First trimester
My morning sickness was worse. I vomit almost everyday. I couldnt eat anything cooked by me. The only food I could eat was Akara and Moimoi. Any other food will be accompanied by serious vomitting. I hated anything sugary. Fruits had a weird after taste in my mouth so I couldn't take it.
Weakness became a part of me. I started spitting too but bitter cola and chewing gum worked for me.


Second Trimester
Things improved greatly, I had a lot of energy. I could eat food prepared by me and I hated moimoi and Akara that was my favorite in my first trimester.
Mom-in-law sent Agbo Abiwere (herbs for easy delivery) and huntu (my Muslim brethren will understand this).


Third trimester
This trimester was accompanied by back pains, leg pains, feeling heavy and inability to change position while sleeping. The worst of it all was heartburn. I later discovered chewing gum reduces my heartburn. I was also eating for 6people.
I hated sex while pregnant so I started routine walking and dancing as my exercises. I walked for 25mins every Tues, Thursday, sat and Sunday and when I am bored, I play music and shake what my mama gave me.


At 33 weeks, I started noticing my discharge has increased. Doctor told me there was nothing to worry about. He also told me to start getting ready cos twin babies come early.
I started blending Ewedu and drinking.


At 37 weeks, on the 19th of April 7am, I noticed a watery discharge. It was different from the normal discharge and has a different
Different smell. Since we were told during antenatal that we should always come to the hospital to complain if we notice anything different from the usual, I decided to go to the hospital to see a doctor.
I cooked, ate, slept a bit and around 12pm, I carried my handbag and took a bike to the hospital.
I waited for 1 hr before I could see doctor (it's a general hospital). I complained about the watery discharge and he told me to lie down so he can check something.
I did as instructed and he put his fingers. He gave me a suprise look and told me I was already in labor and that I wasn't having any discharge; it was my water. The shocking part; I was already 8cm dilated but I wasn't feeling any pains. I just felt normal. The nurses too were suprised.

Mamas the plaster for the CS has been removed but I forgot to ask if I can start bathing now & if the surgery area needs to be clean with spirit. Pls do I need to clean with spirit & bath too? Thns

Please tell her not to be in a hurry..I had same issue with this pregnancy but Doctor asked me to wait 2weeks and I was placed on progesterone suppositories.Infact heartbeat was not detected early but I'm now about 25 weeks gone..She should speak with her Doctor or get a second opinion.I hope it works out well for her

If scan doesn't pick any fetal activity by week 10, then it's okay to say the doctor is right. But for now, what she's experiencing could be just implantation spotting which could stop soon.

To be honest I’m not comfortable with the drugs you are giving that child, paracetamol for what exactly? Is baby running temperature or immunized? Biko stop it, i saw where you also mentioned giving her gripe water and nospamin, haba mama, I don’t give drugs to a healthy child oh, if you are treating colic infacol is much better and safer. May God keep our babies in good health. Her stooling is equally normal as long as it not too watery that it sinks into the diaper.

This is my story, I'm no mummy but I come here to read, digest , get to know and update myself.. Lots of feedback here put my life and BP to rest while some raised it. Above all, the baby came out fine yesterday..

40 weeks gone no sign of labour, date didn't work, castor oil didn't work, last scan shows baby is 4.4 and last resort was CS. I wish I had enough education about trying induction at 38/39 weeks. All in all. thanks to God, mother and child are fine..

Today she went for PT test both blood & stripe tested positive but very faint. The Dr said d pregnancy didn't stay well since she has started seeing her period. That she shud come for flushing. Pls what can she do so she doesn't make a mistake of flushing it out IF the pregnancy is still intact. She was on carbagolin to correct high prolactin. Thnx

Its normal ma. While some babies does not poop for days, some does it very frequently.. My daughter was like that until about 4 months or so, now that we're marching towards the big 1,she poops 2x daily

Good morning mamas, my baby is 2 weeks today, 3days ago she started toileting like 3times daily. Last night I changed pampas lik 2 times before daybreak. Yesterday when I went for re dressing (because I did CS) I complained to the Dr but she said it's normal. Yet she still passed the stool twice overnight. The only drugs I gave her was panda paracetamol & Nospamin just once.
Pls should I be worried or what can be the cause? Personally I've not started taken sugary things so I can't say I passed it to her via breastfeeding. I'm a FTM pls advice.

Oh ok then, as long as water isnt entering. Though the site should have sealed up by now. Mine was redressed the day i was discharged and i was asked to remove it at home 3days later. So i was only on plaster for a week. Same with my first child

It was dry the day I was discharged but because it was wet because of the water massage I guess that's why the plaster hasn't been removed yet. Can't wait to resume taking bath.

Breastfeeding is the best for your baby but if you cannot breastfeed exclusively for the period, you can give formula alongside. It is ok to combine both.

You cs site should be dry at all times. You shouldn't be massaging with hot water, to avoid stories that touch. Vaginal birth isnt same as cs o. Hope you are cleaning it frequently with methylated spirit.

The plaster hasn't been removed yet. Still going for dressing

Please don't give her any drugs o. It's ok for them to reduce in weight before gaining the weight back. Please don't!!! BTW, gripe water is when she stomach pain(which is normal till she clocks 3 months and 4-5months for boys) and paracetamol when it is absolutely needed not always. May she continue to bring you joy and may God Almighty give you the wisdom and strength needed.

OK. Amen. Is it OK to combine breastfeeding +formula till she's 6 months?

Good evening mother, I'm glad to be here. I put to bed last week Thursday, 1st time mum. My baby girl was 3.3kg @birth but now it seems she looks smaller. Though I delivered via CS so she was on NAN for few days until now that my breasts are producing milk. Pls what drugs can I use for her aside Panda paracetamol & gripe water? Or any drugs to make a new born big & healthy?

Jesuuuu, it's these old women o. My MIL said I shud sit up for old blood to come out. I did only once 3days ago na so bleeding that had stopped will just trip down my thigh. Also she massage my tummy wt hot water which I'm not comfortable with. Today I went for dressing the site is very wet. Should I stopped the massage of just be careful? I'm asking because I'm thinking if I don't massage how will the old blood come out.

The lord has done it again. I gave birth to a bouncy baby girl this morning 21April. Edd 3 of may.

Started contractions around 4am on 20th of April, Call the emergency line and my husband took me to the hospital. I was admitted and monitored. Still contracting at 10min intervals. Around 10pm it changed to every 6min, I called the midwive to examine me, I was only 2cm dilated. They checked baby for like 40min...ctg..I was told baby is in distress...the contractions had became intense this time and I was screaming.They checked again I was 4cm, Due to my previous C's I already have two kids. The plan was to do a CS, but I don't understand why they allowed me go into labor. I was given a gas to breath in and out to help with contractions which helped a little. An emergency CS was scheduled and baby was delivered. I give all glory to the most high God. Mother and daughter is healthy. Somebody should shout hallelujah.

I welcomed my Prince and Princess (twins) on April 19th, 2023 @8pm via vaginal delivery.

Baby weight: 2.2 kg and 2.2 kg @36wks & 7 days

You moved your head too soon after the surgery. Thats the cause. Speak with your doctor if you are still in the hospital but I know coca cola works for it. You will be fine

It has gone but still come once in a while.
