MummyHalo:
It was mid year thanksgiving in church today. I'm grateful for life and all the little blessings. Most of all, I'm thankful to God I finally got a BFP!
Yes, God did it!!!
I pray that this same blessing shall go round each and everyone of us here. Amen.

WIDD:
I was diagnosed with High prolactin earlier this year. Before then I had done my own independent hormonal assay twice that gave conflicting results(please while TTC, use good hospital/labs. Preferably, see a good gynaecologist). The doctor placed me on parlodel to help reduce my prolactin levels. On my own, I started taking vit E 1000iu and vitamin B6 100mg per day. I took them throughout my cycle the first month as I was more interested in reducing the hormone. I also did ewedu therapy in addition to these.
At the end of the first month I tested again and the level had reduced drastically. The doctor just reduced the dosage of the parlodel to maintain the level( I took this reduced dosage till I was confirmed pregnant). I also continued vit E CD 1 till ovulation and vit B6 from after ovulation to about CD 25 as I read here.

One month after reducing the hormones, I did not get pregnant. I didn't know if I was ovulating. The doctor was meant to place me on clomid but he was stalling as he didn't believe the hormones would reduce under one month. He wanted me to test again.
The next cycle, I decided to try okra water to help stimulate ovulation. I soaked okra in water overnight and drank the water the next morning. I did this from CD 3 till cd8. I also got okra leaves with which I prepared okra soup and I was eating this everyday till CD 14. I still continued my folic acid and vitamins. I tracked my follicles that cycle and found out I ovulated. Another thing I did was to have sex every other day immediately after my period.

Above all, we prayed. On children's day, I bought "children's day gift" for my child. I told DH to do same and we prayed over the items.

Truly, it was God that showed up for us. He orchestrated everything in His own time. I pray that He shows up for everyone of us and bless us as our hearts desire. Amen

congrats sis. may u carry to term injn

MummyHalo:
I want to rant!
We've been TTC since we got married in Oct 2018. We used to live apart until January this year when I joined DH so I started actively seeing a gynae in my new location.
There is this colleague of DH who is like our family friend. They got married about 5months after us and had a son in January this year.
Since I relocated, they have been trying to talk me into getting herbs from someone whom according to them treated the wife of PID before they got married. I have tried to explain to them that I am working with a gynae and we are actually progressing but they have refused to understand. I even stopped going to their place (using corona virus as an excuse) because the wife would always bring the issue up. The wife has visited twice recently and still brought up the same issue. According to her, I am the one delaying myself cos if I had listened to her since January and requested for the herbs, I would have been pregnant by now. I still tried explaining the progress I have made with my doctor and also told her I wouldn't want to leave the treatment halfway and start all over with another treatment.
Just this afternoon, the husband came to my house and said he needed to talk to me and brought up the same issue, telling me how my husband or in-laws might soon start disturbing me. I reiterated what I told the wife and told him the timeframe that my doc and I were looking at. He then said"okay", that he was gonna comeback when the timeframe elapses. He has also been trying to make my husband see reasons with them.

I honestly do not know how to handle this issue as I wouldn't want to come across as ungrateful. I know they care and wish me well.
I also think they might be feeling awkward since they have a child and I don't but the truth is that I am honestly happy for them. I love their son as I would my nieces or nephews. I understand that they are trying to help but I do not like the way they are going about it.
There is nobody in this world that wants this child for me more than I do.

... In my own opinion sis, combining herbal remedy will not interrupt orthodox treatment. It's even good if you can get trusted people that can do herbs. You see herbs flushes/ unblock any debris that may be interfering with conception. You can give it a trial. I've tried herbal remedy b4 & it works for me(unblock tubes) which laparoscopy couldn't. I was told after a laparoscopy surgery that ivf is my only option that they couldn't unblock the tubes but to God be the glory after using series of herbs, serrapeptase, Castor oil massage, it's unblocked.
You can weigh d options & try somewhere. God bless ur womb.
This is the lady you sent serrapeptase to in Kwara State. I guess you still remember me. Stay fruitful

Hello everyone, i am back again...thanks for all your well wishes. This is my month, i am waiting for her royal majesty to arrive this month.

Been a first time mum, i went through so much sweet experience she are painful. But believe it or not, is better to go through that painful experience and experience been a mum, cos its comes with so much joy than TTcing.

I read somewhere here that doctor ask a pregnant mum to stop taking FOLIC ACID at a certain stage in pregnancy? I am 38weeks gone, ready to pop, i have been on folic acid even before i am pregnant. My doctors here in the UK always ask if am taking my supplements regularly. (Iron tablet, folic acid and vitamin D).

Before i run from Naija in January, Doctors threaten me so much i almost lost my pregnancy. The kind of fear the put on pregy mum is even enough to make the loose pregnancy....
They told me i cannot have a normal delivery based, becos ihad fibroid operation in the past, and that i am almost 40 and tbat i might even loose the pregnancy because i get small small fibroids....

Let me bursts ur bubbles, doctor here in UK, went through d discharge note of my last surgery.. told me i don't need to deliver through c-section based on my fibroid surgery that my womb was never tempered with, only d walls of my womb... i cried that day and regret been a Nigerian

Imagine if to say i no run comot for nijja I remember how my feets got swollen and when i complain for hospital dem say na normal thing, but when i reach uk, i was healed, no swollen feet. no shortage of blood, anti-natal is based on appointments, they will even call u to remind u to come (I remember how i have to wake up as early as 5am to quene for anti-natal of 9am)

To think my consultant here is a Nigerian. Please let not doctor or nurse threaten your pregnancy. If u do any test, make sure u open d result and goggle every bit of what u don't understand even goggle for solutions before going back to your doctor. I still find it funny why they hide ur medical documents from u.

Meanwhile my baby is 3.5kg yesterday at 38weeks, ready to pop.. This was the same child they said i must do csection for at 37weeks.

I believe only in God's report

Congrats ma, I'm happy for you

Uwc sis.
I asked them and they told me they do it once perfectly and they ensure the tubes get cleared very well. Some places do theirs 3 to 4 times but some do only once. One of my friends did hers once in one lab but they charged her 40k as at early last year. For enquiries, contact them on 08033891687, 08085087170

I'm greatful. May the Lord bless u.
To our mummies, happy new month.

Hydrotubation? I did it once somewhere around OKo oba... .new merit hospital

Honestly, I don't advise hydrotubation, it's a blind procedure that the Dr is not sure of the result.....

I once had blocked tubes...did hydrotubation.....then laparascopy

I've done laparoscopy but I was told to do IVF.
I've been on Serrapeptase combo for sometime & have taken tubal powder too. So I want to do Hydrotubation because of the success stories

You can try Pioneer Medical Diagnostic Clinic. It is located at Okokomaiko in Ojo Area of Lagos. I was directed to there by a qualified pharmacist for some tests. They're specialized in fertility tests and hydrotubation. They charge 20k for tubal flushing and 15k for HSG. I was even surprised when I heard d price of the hydrotubation. A lady there told me that they're specialized in it. She said they just did two days ago for one woman that has been ttcing for eight years. According to her, the woman has been battling with fibroids and she did myomectomy three months ago. She came for HSG and they discovered that her tubes were blocked. She came for flushing d next day and it was done successfully. I was really amazed shocked. The woman did follicular tracking too. After the flushing, they discovered that her egg was about to drop and they told her. She came the next day to check on the egg again and it was discovered that it has dropped which means she has ovulated. All these happened in one cycle.
I told the lady my story and she advised me to go for surgery first before coming for hydrotubation.
So, you can try them out if it's not too far for you. If you decided to use them, pls try to give us feedback when you're done. I intend trying them when I'm done with surgery.
Wishing you all the best sis.
