Sis, this your method is when you want to prepare Ewedu to eat.
The one for pregnant women for labor is different.
Preparation:
Once you get ewedu, preferably the fresh one, detach from the sticks, gather the leaf and wash it.
Add little water, squeeze it well and filter it to get the juice
Drink it without adding anything.

To make things easier, you can use a blender. Then drink.

Note;
Pls o, this is only meant for when your pregnancy is 7 - 8 months and above o.
DON'T TRY IT IF YOUR PREGNANCY IS BELOW.

Ahhh sis, I never knew it's prepare this way. Anyway thanks. You said it's for 7 - 8 month and above - if I take @8 month does it mean it'll be preparing my body till 9month & how many times can one take it b4 delivery comes?

I am just here joor, I don expect labor tire, nothing is happening, no sign at all. Did scan yesterday to determine weight of baby, little one is 3.7kg, and hospital is telling me it's ok. What will she be weighing at birth then? I nor just want any unnecessary stress that could have been avoided during labor but they are acting like I am just being worried for nothing. I have eaten so many pineapple, I even blend one big one, juice it and drank everything last night, I nor even purge it's just as if nothing is happening in there. My tiredness is extremely tired. I want to try the ewedu leaf but I have never eaten ewedu before neither do I know how to prepare it, anybody with idea, abeg help me out

HOW TO PREPARE EWEDU :
Once you get ewedu, detach from the sticks wash & keep aside. Put little water in a pot & add iru & potash to it(I dont know if it's necessary but that's the way yoruba prepare it). Allow the water to reach boiling point then pour d ewedu in it leave for a while to softer very well, once soften you can either blend in food processor or use that small broom(ijabe) to mash it. I hope I try. Or you can just Google it on YouTube it'll be easier

We're doing fine o sister. It's just this tummy that is pushing me now & turning from one side of d bed to the other is now very difficult & getting up earlier to prepare for work is something else. Na now I know say our mothers are trying. Pregnancy no be moinmoin. Infact I can't wait to offload this baby. Aside this everything is fine to the glory of God. Hospital bag is packed already. Though I'm still having this little fear of how does labour feel (don't laugh o abeg I be JJC)

Dele pad is a brand of a sanitary pad just like we have blue comfit, ladycare, etc

General hospital abi? That's what they wrote in my list too and lot of unnecessary things like air freshener, insectides, dishwashing liquid and lot of irrelevances. I will only put 2 dele pad if they don't like it, make them throway am.

Smillinggggg.. Maybe I'll just buy 2 too cos no money to dash them. But how long does a new mother bleed after the delivery DAY
? Is it up to a week?

In My hospital list they wrote Dele pad 4 packs. I discovered one packs has 10pcs, pls does it means that I'll that buy that packs (that contains 1pcs) in 4places? Isn't it too much? Thnxx

And you're in your 3rd trimester right? Is it normal because I think you should start feeling baby's movement from week 16 some later but @3rd trimester the movement should be stronger. Have you complain to your Dr?

I don't want this baby to be big like my first that almost tear my jajaina in two. If you see how my husband dey monitor my beverages, soft drink and malt intake, you go fear. During my first, I took a lot of malt, milk and beverages during my third trimester because I was advised to take them for blood supply cos I had a very low pcv that resulted into getting admitted and collecting 2 pints of blood. Lo and behold, baby that was weighing 2kg at 8 months because 3.6kg within One month of intake. I just jejely respect myself during this pregnancy ooo

I did growth scan today, I'm 31 weeks. In the scan the the baby is 2.2kg. Mama's is it OK for at 31 weeks for such size? Hope the baby isn't too small?

Growth scan is what they asked you to do and it’s a routine scan, it’s very normal to be done around that time, in Nigeria it’s hardly spoken of in some hospitals because they consider affordability and overlook it, in the hospital I use it’s standard procedure and must be done, hospitals differ.

If your feet isn’t swollen then you’re lucky and it’s a good sign you’re not retaining water and no edema.

OK. I pee alot even though I drink water pass camel, maybe that's why my feet aren't swelling up. Thanks

I had a scan too on Monday at 32 weeks 3 days and the sonographer was confused to why I was booked for a scan. She said they wrote in my note that my last baby was small which was complete lie(I guess the consultant had to write a genuine reason so the scan can be booked). I think it is a decision made by the doctor in charge of your care, he/she might like continious scan to make sure they monitor baby for their peace of mind. It is not normal but it happens. Yes , it is ultrasound scan .

- Not all legs/feet gets swollen, sometimes it happens towards the very end. If you are healthy and active it might never happen. It is a good sign if you don't have it.

Good morning beautiful Mama's, trust were pushing on. May our delivery be easy injn. I'm currently 30weeks 2days today, so My Dr. told me that I'll do a scan at 32 weeks to check the baby wellbeing. First of all I want to thank God for a successful pregnancy and delivery

First trimester
This is my second missionary journey. The pregnancy symptoms started at week 6. The symptoms were horrible unlike my first one. I was always weak and vomiting. The only thing I could take was very cold water and ice. Anytime i eat I must vomit. I went through a lot coupled with the fact that I was alone. The day I found out I was pregnant is the day hubby travelled abroad. I was always crying

Second trimester
At this stage I started eating in bits, my appetite was coming back small small, but I was still vomiting each time I brush my tonque. Nothing much happened again

Third trimester
This stage was very difficult for me. Always having waist pain, the weight of the baby was putting pressure on my pelvic making it difficult to walk. To turn on the bed was painful. My tummy was so big that people keep telling me they thought I have given birth. I have to bring my younger sis to stay with me. Due to my previous CS in 2020 me and hubby decided to go for an Elcs this time. During ante natal last month I met with the doctor who booked me for Elcs on the 1st of Feb. Told hubby abt the date so he came back last week. I was told I will be admitted on the 31st. I got everything ready, repacked my hospital bag and sent for my mum.

Delivery
On the 31st me and my husband went to the hospital to be admitted, my mum and my aunt was already on the way cos they were coming from a different state. At the hospital I was given some test to do to check my PCV, Blood group in case I will need blood. My PCV came back 30% I was worried. I couldn’t sleep that night. The next day which is the surgery, around 9am they came and shaved me, gave my husband consent form to sign, my mum and aunt was already at the hospital. I was happy and scared at the same time, happy that am finally going to meet my LO, scared abt how the surgery will go. A nurse came and told me that they have 2 women they want to do CS for before mine, so we waited till around 1pm when they came and inserted the catheter to pass urine and set line for drip and another one and took me to the theater. Inside the theater they prayed, and injected me with spinal anesthesia. They cleaned my tummy down to my knees. After some minutes they asked me to move my legs but I couldn’t. Two doctors were touching my abdomen so I asked another doctor who was chating with me when will they start the surgery, he said madam your baby is about to be brought out. I was surprised , I didn’t even know they have already cut me open. The next minute my baby is out crying her lungs out😂 another nurse took her to clean her up, showed her to me then went outside to hand her over to my mum. They stitched me and took me outside the theater. The next thing I started feeling nauseous, I told them they brought a plate by the side of my face and told me not to raise my head. After the vomiting I was taken to the recovering room. The whole surgery lasted for 1hr and some minutes. The next day I walked to the private room myself without any help, then on Friday been 3rd I walked to the lab which is a little far from my room to do another PCV test, so I can say the recovery was fast. Am at home now with little pain.

Something happened to me yesterday. I started feeling this pain in my tummy in the afternoon. I'm currently 27weeks 5days gone & I've never felt when my baby turned or changed position except when I do scan or start feeling the kicks in another direction. But yesterday from noon till late @night I couldn't sit nor stand because of the pain I was having when the baby was turning as if he's turning 360'. I was sweating & couldn't hold my tears anymore. It took the baby lik 2hrs b4 he cud calm down.
Pls is this normal at this stage of my pregnancy? Will the baby still turn like this b4 delivery so I can be prepared 4d pain next time? Thnxx
