There are thousands of churches in Nigeria and their pastors all differ in character, dressing and what they preach about. While some Nigerian pastors are concerned about leading sinners to Christ, others are more interested in making money.

Nigerians are a very religious set of people and a good number of them ‘worship’ their pastors. If their pastor asks them to eat grass for healing, they would willingly do so.

Just like the saying, different strokes for different folks, Nigerian pastors have different things that appeal to them and act in different ways.

Below are the types of pastors you will find in Nigeria.

1. The prayer warriors: These pastors can pray from morning till morning. They are always having one prayer conference or the other. All their enemies have to die by fire.

2. The political ones: These ones talk more about politics than the word. They always show themselves during the election period. They mingle and dine with politicians. They are in the news for more political issues that things that have to do with the church.

3. The funky ones: By their dressing and actions, you shall know them. They wear designer suits, shoes, wristwatches and drive the latest cars.

4. The businessmen: These set of pastors are billionaires who own a vast business empire worth billions of naira. They own schools, manufacturing companies and are unapologetic about their material wealth.

5. The prophets: These ones always have one prophecy or the other. They claim to see everything before it happens, from bomb blasts, to deaths and every evil thing you can think of.

6. The silent ones: They don’t shout while preaching, rather, they talk quietly. They are hardly ever in the news. They rarely make public speeches.

7. The money chasers: These ones became pastors just to make money. They always find a way of milking their congregants. Their sermons are always about giving.

8. The leaders: These ones push their congregants to be leaders in the the world

9. The grammarians: These ones can speak grammar. Sure, some of the church members would be checking the dictionary to understand what the pastor is saying.

10. The miracle workers: Nigerians, especially women are always looking for one miracle or the other and they would rush to any church where they hear the pastor is powerful. Most of these pastors make a lot of money from their followers who would pay any amount for miracle whether its from God or not.

11. The ones who assault their members: Some Nigerian pastors sleep with their members in the name of deliverance

12. The ones who get their powers from God knows where: We’ve heard stories of pastors getting powers from evil sources which they use to conduct miracles and deceive gullible Nigerians.

13. The holier than thou: These ones are holier than Jesus himself. They would condemn everything from dressing, to make up, to hairstyle. Everything is a sin to them

14. The ones who have like five members: Their congregants are members of their family.

15. The poor ones: Some pastors are enjoying the good life while others can barely feed themselves.

Not every challenge z from God, the devil brings challenges in our way. The spirit of God in us allows us to know if the challenge z from God or devil. For as many that are led by the Spirit of God are the sons of God.

The devil z subtle he can mix the lie with the truth. So it the word of God that will help you overcome

Note: not all challenges you pass through are from God, the devil tests man(job,Jesus) so be vigilant for the adversary the devil z looking for whom to devour

Plz if need be educate supermods on the need for inspiring thread to make fp. They should stop promoting threads that are of no value to An average Nigerian youth. How will they allow threads about rape evweytime, crime always, we keep on reading the same thread, cycle of same thread over and over again.

One better way to promote this forum is By allowing threads mostly on agriculture to make fp, It would definitely help a dying youth

Once again I appreciate you but you can still do more to allow more useful thread to make fp.

Note 4 weeks now nothing whatever on agriculture has ever made front page.

It has come to my notice that you have not really supported or perhaps promoted this room(agriculture).

All we see on FP hardly adds value to the lives of the Nigerian youths. We need to educate ourselves more on something lucrative, businesses Nigerian youths can go into. We need not to wait for government to do everything for us, but all I see on fp are
Celebrities jargons
Crime incidents
Snakes issues
Rape and the likes

Not that we don't need to know this things but right now majority of those things on fp are of no value to
us

Please post and move reasonable thread that will inspire an average Nigerian to sit back and think about his/her life
We have threads in the agricultural sector that will ginger the Nigerian youths to look else apart from white collar jobs
Businesses that they can do, that will give them more focus in life.

I wish the mods here are really working hard to promote entrepreneurs in this section

Am glad you can relate to this. It's because of the love that the guy is still giving room for growth. I know if he wanted to dump my cousin, he would have done it. I just hope she can change o. Because the two of them are very precious to me.

I read through people's comments again and because she z rigid in her ways of life, and she z spiritual get her books about marriage (I tried it with my girl, she finds it boring duh, but she can read her Bible without stress) if she doesn't read books like mine. I guess you read the books to her with her Bible with her, while you explain she will find it interesting because I believe her love language z quality time.
Books like 'things I wish I knew before marriage 'by Gary Chapman.

Let her understand that it's not all about spiritual alone. Yes spiritual z forefront but 3john1:2 says Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth. That z spiritual, physical and materials must be intact.

You can help her. It got to a stage I told my gf friend to educate her about dressing n being smart but it didnt work out

Am glad you can relate to this. It's because of the love that the guy is still giving room for growth. I know if he wanted to dump my cousin, he would have done it. I just hope she can change o. Because the two of them are very precious to me.

I sincerely know how the guy z feeling because I have similar issues but I will advise him not to allow his feelings to becloud his minds

I guess your sister will be very good in doing the house chores just like mine, and her love language z likely to be quality time, all this sums up to the fact that the guy z not enjoying the conversation because what she says are either too spiritual or not emotional enough so he finds it boring

I will just say your sister z a special breed. Just try speaking to her to adjust little in what her man complains, she should a little bit change too, give room 4 improvement. You will notice that she will start claiming territorial weakness, she will see her self as been OK, don't argue or shout at her because it will cause her to return into her shell because she has been offended.

Teach her the word 'compromise' to compromise doesn't say you are weak, you are just letting something go or drop something for the happiness of your partner, he would do the same one day.

When ever I shout at my gf because of an attitude I don't like, she retreats n prefer to relate her issues with another person.

I believe they can make it work if one of them z ready to PAY THE PRICE ------COMPROMISE
