CrownedPhoenix: Maybe. Or maybe not.
Rationalising it, it may seem as though it's for economic reasons but I think it's a delicacy on its own.
I just know the practice has been there a pretty long time before now You are Right is actually a delicacy. In some part of Delta and Edo they add ripe plantain to pounded yam preferably water yam. Starch and overly ripe plantain are also pounded together (this combo mad). Cocoyam and potato are also pounded together. They are heavenly. |

nairalanda1: Even in the UK some white people jump and run abroad before or after conviction.(My fave case was one white man who successfully faked his own death and hid somewhere. Unfortunately for him, someone in the police got too suspicious).
People are different,. Some people when caught, accept their fate, and do their time, and get out. Some chose to run. The owner of MMM was rumored to fake his own death nobody knows how true it is. Repentant ones will do their time but those Agbayas will always be Agbayas. |

nairalanda1: HE has recieved a lot of punishment
1. He cannot go back to the UK...and he could still be extradited (and yes, they do )
2.His wife is going to leave him now...I doubt she would want to go back to Nigeria
3. He is all alone in NIgeria
All because he could not control himself. The problem of mankind started as a result of lack of self control. Exercising self control in every aspect of ones life reduces 80% of ones problem. |

nairalanda1: Don't know about the UK, but in the USA, a white woman was convicted of fraud and stealing. She was given time to put her affairs in order, and then she reported to prision as directed by the authorities.
(NO she did not run away. She wanted to do her time and be over with it. She was sentenced to 4 years ). I really don't know much about those laws but perhaps some tactics are not for Their citizens or citizens of developed countries, I really can't say. |

diamond68: bro their laws don’t work like that. You have to serve your jail time before they deport you. So they just dodged feeding this guy for 15 years and the scum can never enter Britain or any first world country again. Plus the person he raped is Nigerian. It’s a win win for all but you can believe that if the woman was white he would not be allowed to go and put his affairs in order. It’s like they wanted him to self deport. British prisons are at full capacity and they have told them to decongest it this year This may be true. There was a guy in our estate years back that was arrested for drug smuggling. They released him overnight without charges and he was deported without much Ado. After 2 months he started showing signs of mental illness, his family did everything to no avail. He later said the officers injected him after interrogation before they saw in off to the airport, he didn't know what they injected him with. That guy is a full mad man today. These developed countries have different methods of raiding off criminals of other Nationals from their countries permanently. |

crystalpapers: They allowed him to go home and put his affairs in order . I don't understand which affairs a bloody rapist wants to put in order?!
Oyinbo people will surely kill themselves with all this yeye policies. A dangerous man should be kept behind bars, that's where he belongs.
Now he will rape other innocent girls/women in Nigeria now nonsense. They don't care about who he will rape next in Nigeria they are only concern their citizens. If Nigeria wants to protect their citizens against people like they should take up the case. The victim is black so they are less concerned where it to be a white lady he would never have stepped out of that prison. They knew he would run away never to return hereby forfeiting everything he has in their country. |

There are some environment you will tell the landlord that you are married but your husband works outside the environment. If you have Male colleagues, friends or church members invite them over for your neighborhoods to see. |

Let's hope this sets a positive tone for future interactions! This forced apology is nothing. If he wasn't exposed by gist lover would he have apologized? He is just scared. He is just like the rest of the leaders they think the are above the law. |

Money is slow but if steady with patience and contentment, you will never be in lack of basic comfort.
It is the lack of the aforementioned and the need to "pepper Dem" that usually drive us into over drive and the unthinkable.
These criminals are making the lives of average Nigerians even more difficult to live. The best comment I have read in NL in years. |

eteba: That's how my cousin followed one to her church in the name of u must be a member b4 daddy pastor can even agree to scan if ur the one.
He carried me along, I enjoyed the church sha, very lively with good gospel music.
Pastor ask my bro to show working first by becoming very active in church activities, he did and I tagged along as I liked the church regardless.
The girl wouldn't even discuss the marriage plans with her parents because daddy pastor never approve after more than a year.
My cousin got frustrated and dumped the girl, she no even send, very beautiful and homely nice girl.
I was so pained to loose such a cool girl for a sister inlaw.
For revenge, I stayed back in the church, got more serious, bleep pastor 2nd daughter severally, was to bleep the eldest, the matter cast, I bail, change church asap.
My cousin is married now, recently though, that girl still dey, probably still dey do, my daddy pastor say or e no say.
Rubbish. I doubt if this story is true, if it's is you are the guy involved. |

BlindAngel: This is what I intend doing, thanks for your advise, I will do as you advised as it's the absolutely best thing to do right now. Although I have already given in on letting her pastor officiate the naming because of her CS operation, for her cry not to affect her.
But after everything, she won't go to that church again and I swear to God that if she refused she will pack her load and go, after all the love isn't there and I'm not sexually attracted to her. Same tears she used in manipulating me in getting married to her is same tears she's still using in getting her way after every little misunderstanding. I will stop her from going to that church, I have had enough already. Your last paragraph says alot about you and the reason your wife is using tears to get to you. I pity ladies that force themselves on a man. |
