Good morning all, great thread, pls I need ur advice, I got admitted for a short course of less than one month in the US, and am meant to travel with a student visa, went thru the SEVIS fee website and I saw I had to pay $200 for the service and $35 for a short course, it has not been stated clearly which and who are to pay for the $35, pls guys I need clarification on this and where possible can I pay for the SEVIS fee in Nigeria. Thanks

The training is now Dec 5, we are all expecting our visas to Johannesburg South Africa where the two weeks orientation training is taking place

RE: FIRST STAGE SHORTLISTING FOR AU YOUTH VOLUNTEER CORPS PROGRAM

Please be informed that in the first stage of the rigorous and highly competitive shortlisting process, you have been shortlisted subject to the final selection stage.

The upcoming African Union Volunteer pre-deployment orientation training is scheduled to take place 27 November – 12 December 2015. As an AU Youth Volunteer, if selected, you will be required to commit yourself for a period of 12 months and must be willing to travel to another African country to serve.

The final selection will be made based on number of confirmations received and resources available. Please send us confirmation on the following by Thursday 12th November:

If selected,

1.    Are You available to take part in the pre deployment training 27 November – 12 December 2015
2.    Is your passport valid for at least 6 months
3.    Where will you be travelling from? (City, Country)

 

An official letter of invitation will be sent if your selection is confirmed.

Hello guys, av anyone received any mail from AU-YVC, I just got a mail been selected for d 1st stage of d selection process, and dat I shld get back to dem if I will be available for the pre-deployment training on 27th November, 2015.

I mailed the same email we submitted the application ysterday but until now am yet to get a reply, I advice we contact Octavo or something, I tink he is the AU president for youth for the last batch of volunteers, he is from Benin republic but serving at the US Embassy in Addis Abba.
