You can do both so far the reservation is valid and can be confirmed by the border services. Personally I like paying when I get to the hotel.

Is like you have not seen when Immigration officers at POE separate your luggage for extra scrutiny, when an officer have the need to do so.This is a personal experience I had in the past. How on earth should someone carry two luggage’s full of egusi & locust beans for a 10 days visit as stated on your visa application. If you have plans not to return back, there are several African shops you can purchase all dis things. There are even logistics companies you can ship your personal belongings and foods from naija and you receive them in Canada in a week or so. Why take the risk after waiting 1 year for PPR and sweating to buy a plane ticket for over a million naira. Not worth it!

Luggage claim is done after passing immigration so I don’t think it matters. The important thing is just the follow the airline’s baggage allowance.

Unless what you have is not a visitor/tourist visa, then you might not need a return ticket. It’s called visitors visa for a reason. And while you stated your length of stay in your application, it’s your duty to have a return ticket back to your home country. CBSA don’t deal with emotions, they will pull out your visa application right in front of you and if your words differs from what you stated in your visa application then that will be a big red flag and reasonable grounds to deny you entry. Things happen so fast at POE, and u might not even have the opportunity to make contact until you land back at Muritala Mohammed Airport. Even as a Canada Permanent Residence, I was asked my return ticket & evidence of accommodation at the Heathrow Airport, London while I was on holiday last August.

She is speaking the truth, you need to understand that; the people whom you talked to on phone are different from those you will meet at the Airport, well you said you haven't travelled before, you need to see how these Airline(s) attendants act at times you will be frustrated, nonetheless you might be lucky to have your way around.

Carrying food stuff for your spouse shouldn’t be a problem if your spouse was the one who invited you, unless you stated otherwise in your application. POE is very tricky. I almost got deported in 2017 at Dulles Airport in Washington DC for carrying a folder containing all my credentials and certificates. The immigration guy ask me why I had to come with all my certificates if I had the intention of going back to Nigeria, I was speechless for a minute before I use werey port am. Only God saved me that day! And for anyone that want to use a one way ticket go Yankee or Canada on a visit visa, just have it in mind that your entry into these countries na 50/50. If by mistake you are ask about your return ticket and you can’t provide it, Omo forget it! U will be separated and interrogated like a criminal before you are put back on a flight back to Naija.

My brother was refused UK & US Non-Immigrant visa twice respectively. UK banned him for 10 years since 2011 due to agent submitting fake tax clearance in support of his application.

You see that rejection paper they usually give at the US embassy just copy and paste it for them. That's how I did for mine. I copied and paste everything on that paper.

I was rejected US visa 2017, 2018 and 2019

And you know US embassy don't usually give reasons for rejection just that blue paper they usually give you. Finish, if ask them why they won't tell you the reason for rejection.

Just try and see if you can appeal, you never know 🤷

E di ra oo. Canada visitor’s visa from outside Canada is now 403 days! Crazy times ahead folks!

There use to be a pathway during covid time which allows temporary visa holders like VV to convert their VV to an Open Work Permit so far you have got a job offer. During this period, alot of VV holders were stuck in Canada due to Canada closing their borders and they were in shortage of workers, so an executive order allows employers to hire a temporary visa holders and subsequently get a work permit.

Statement of account (with 17k CAD)
Birth Certificate of my Siblings & grand children to show home ties (My mum is retired)
PR Card.

It was a tough 11 months (At a point my mum did not believe I actually applied for any visa for her)

I pray God answer everyone speedily.

Oga calm down, it was a visa agent that did the visa 11 years ago. Many people fell victim to this agent documents falsification. Why not make your point & move on, at least he knows better now.

I also replied then that if you were still asking if you should disclose the ban on the visa form then lessons might have not been learnt. my apologies for answering.

Thanks for your input and if I said I think he was ban then you should realize this is what he told me and I can’t categorically come to a conclusion of what I have no knowledge about. All the same thank you!

Quite straightforward. Refusal letter explanatory enough.
I feel the bullet point refers to his immigration history with them. They have also mentioned at the top of the refusal they have taken into account his immigration history… refusals + 10 years ban. You know he was banned earlier so pls saying I think when asking for help can be confusing.

already bad immigration history with them — 2 refusals and 10 year ban.. it never goes away, with this you/he ought to have put more effort in making a water tight app.

Sad reality about bans- Obviously nobody knows what the ECO will think, but he is applying for the exact same visa again as he did with false documents 10 years ago.
Having said that, if you can convince them that everything is genuine after serving the 10 years, you might be successful. Secondly, although the ban has expired, they are likely to still question your true intentions given your past attempt to use deception.

1. money lodgment.
How can account balance be 400k and 27 days later become 10million naira. And then shortly after he went to submit an application.
They also mention that in the bank statements he submitted this sudden rise/deposit style was not seen in all so where suddenly did this money come from? If you were the ECO how would you look at this application pls?
2. Next up, 8 day holiday and projecting a spend of 2 million naira.. also remember he just mysteriously had a sudden rise to his account to the tune of 10 million. No visa officer can close their eye to this blunder..
I am afraid the Canadian one will take a huge miracle if documents and bank statement is same as this.

My brother application was refused. Biometrics was May 5th @ Ikeja TLC.

Attached is the refusal letter. Please kindly let me know what the first bullet point means. He was refused twice like 10 years ago, I think he was banned too then.

He used same documents to apply for Canada, any chances for Canada? Note that everything he submitted was genuine and real. His work and real estate business are genuine.
