Since passport is ready for pick do I pick it up in Abuja or Lagos?

What is really going on in the screenshot?

Any one care to explain?

I think this is quite relative. The officer who checked me last Friday was black, and he looked at my passport so much so that my colleagues began to ask me if there was something hidden in the Nigerian passport which the guy wanted to find.
I think the POE experience one gets depends on the mood/instincts of the officer he/she runs into.
My next entry will be from Montreal, I hope I meet a jolly good fellow.

I am not too sure why people are scared of Toronto Pearson Airpot POE?

That Airport is actually the best to come into Canada, you can be rest assured you will not be discriminated against as they have a lot of friendly blacks and Asians CBSA officers unlike the POE in Montreal, BC or even Alberta with white folks.

I personally don’t like Montreal because they speak French and French people are something else.

I just chatted with chiamaka About passport submitted via dhl which it was delivered on 6 nd I didn’t get any acknowledgment from them. She gave me tracking number nd I tried tracking, it was bringing out no records found meanwhile vfs hasn’t send me any messages…. Please what does this means

Please I tracked my brother's passport after getting the tracking number from Chiamaka from VFS this morning. The attached was displayed after putting the tracking number.

Does this mean the passport is back at VFS for pickup?

My brother is in same situation. His passport was received at VFS Lagos on July 3rd, 2023 thru DHL Lekki and up till now, no email from vfs if they actually received his passport. We attempted the live chat and we were kept on queue for hours with no one to chat with.

Between what time did you chat with them? We shall try again tomorrow and see the outcome.

Yes! I personally know someone starting in September 2023 who already arrived Toronto two days ago via Schipol Airport. No law whatsoever stops you from arriving Canada even two months ahead of your proposed program start date. This I know for a fact!

What can one provide as purpose of travel? This friend of mine is an accompanying spouse travelling with her husband who is the principal applicant for purpose of studies. The examples IRCC provided are Flight ticket, Itinerary like hotel reservations and proof of medical appointment. She do not have any of this!

The honourable thing to do is to pass on his comment. If you don’t need his information, there are people who needs it. You assumed everyone know how hard it’s to transition to WP? That’s not true, there are people who are joining the thread today and it will be a very vital info for them. If typing with energy will pass the message for those who needs it, then so be it.

Use your Application number and your Name. If that doesn’t work, Use your Name and Date of Birth, if that doesn’t work also, Use your UCI and location. One should work!

Go to add application to your account at the bottom of that page. You can use your surname, UCI, application number and location to re-add your application. Just like what you would have done to add a paper application to your online profile. It will definitely work!

Baba, dem no dey tell person. Many of us bring that Nigeria mentality to Canada. My nephew who came to study in Canada since the last 2 months currently can’t find a factory/warehouse job. Inflation has bastardized the economy. Most of the major food banks looks like oyigbo market with the crowd. Nothing to sugar coat, you won’t find a job that will allow conversion of visitor’s visa to WP. Why do you think students wait in the Express entry/PNP poll? Despite having a Canadian Certification. It’s because no company is willing to offer LMIA job employment, when Citizens & PR holders yapayaski looking for same job, companies are not ready to bear the burden of sponsoring anyone without a PR, because it’s not mathematically beneficial to the company. Nothing to pray about, you won’t find a job with a VV

Becos some people are already stranded based on sentiment talk like this and not facts..you do not based ur plan on future law but current law and plan according based on ur research ahead..i know what l have encounter on the street becos of misleading information and it hurt when people get stranded based on ignorance..l will repeat do ur reserach well before landing in canada and not depend on sweet talk but fact and fact.,I strongly advise individuals to thoroughly research and understand the laws and regulations of Canada before arriving and not solely rely on persuasive language but instead seek factual and reliable information.

Please kindly post evidence of the people that got employment from VV to LMIA WP. The last time I heard anyone had this opportunity, Canada shut her border to the world, hence the VV to WP pathway. I have been on this thread as long as I can remember, no single person that went to Canada on VV ever came out to confirm the possibility, it’s always hear say, no evidence to establish your assertion

Don’t bother yourself you won’t find a job. Everyone I know with a VV attempted to get an LMIA sponsor employment, after six month they all returned home. Healthcare jobs are the easiest to convert from VV to work permit. But currently no one is hiring due to inflation. Things are really bad. These announcements are good on papers, in reality, omo! it’s 2/100.

But the thing is, don’t put all your hopes on it.. you can also do your own research to find out more.. 👍🏽
