Mizbaby: It is illegal to work if you are not enrolled in a school and actively pursuing studies. You can only do that 'under the carpet' i.e. Cash jobs, but if you are caught you have violated the terms of your study permit. My own school starts in September and I cannot work till then. Well, u re dulling urself... there is nothing stopping you from working 20hours a week |

Iggynasia: Hello house,

bodejohn: No news yet...I am suspecting that my bank might be dulling the process. Since my SoA is one of the documents that might be verified. Don't think like that.... am sure they will respond at most... next week... They do verify sometimes though but not to the extent of confirming bank balance...am also expecting their response for my wife... they shld just pls allow me to see my wife again after a year... |

Arcayo: But is it advisable to defer for a year immediately someone enter Canada and start working the 20hrs a week without attending school first? Well... I can't answer that question. If your TRV was approved months ahead of ur resumption date... That's a plus for you as u can come in early and get to know your environment and also work ahead before resumption but in a situation where u differed ur admission after entering canada... then be ready to face the music if you get caught by immigration |

@bodejohn any news bro? |
Travel › Re: Travelling To Canada Part 10 by iammartinzo(m): 3:02pm On May 13, 2016 |
Arcayo: It's possible but not advisable, don't you think it will tell later when applying for postgraduate work permit or study permit extension? How do you explain that you enter Canada without resuming for your studies a whole year but you are working? Am not in Canada oo and never seen anybody in that situation b4 but I believe am making sense. It is possible. If you have ur TRV already and ur resumption date is still months away... sure. U can come in and chill while working but then, the work permit rules applies to u(20 hours) a week. |

andre99: NB: I stand to be corrected, to get the Canada vistors visa u must av huge travel history especially a USA visa on your passport, 98% of people on this thread that got the Canada vistors visa had USA visa in their passport. A virgin passport will not do any magic. I don't believe that... Those people are just irrational sometimes.. very difficult to understand their approval matrix. So, no one can say the parameter for their approval or rejection even when u feel u meet all the requirements. Anyway... am very optimistic about the application I submitted but just need their timely response, the wait is killing and it's day 64 already |

Obiwests: Hey Guys,
I applied for Canada visitor visa via online and yesterday, CIC sent me a letter requesting for my original passport. The problem is, I don't want to travel to Lagos or Abuja. I was told I can send my passport to the Visa Office in Lagos or Abuja through UPS and I will have to pay =N=4960. My question is, am I responsible for the return envelope? or does the N4960 covers the cost of sending back my passport? Congrat. When did you apply? |

tnuola: HayqinsbFX is correct then, its better to give a straight and blunt answer than give one false hope. I'm sure the person wants to know if he can apply for a masters degree with the result from his one year prog. |
Travel › Re: Travelling To Canada Part 10 by iammartinzo(m): 5:35am On May 12, 2016 |
hayqinsbFX: if you have a conflicting answer...kindly give the guy..
i would not be crossed with that....
i just told him what i know... Sure... don't mind me. I was just suprised my ur blunt response. I believe the one year program will be a good ground for him to get a Master degree provided you have good grades even though you will still be evaluated on your BSc transcript but then, having good grades in the one year program helps you to send a strong signal that you are capable especially having good grades in a Canadian school... |

Cala: They do not send approval messages for visit visa. If it's online, they would send passport request. It's obvious this is a paper application so she should just go pick up the passport tomorrow from vfs. Really... Don't get it wrong. They do... my mother in law got her visiting visa via paper last week and she was sent an approval mail. It might just vary... not everyone get approval mail.. when I got my student visa.. I got 2 different mails.. one for study permit and anoda for work permit while some peeps got no mail and some got just one and then, I did paper application |

shaffy19: wat is d meaning of dis rubbish, if u cant explain very well then keep shut.. LOL. Ok sorry about that... either paper or online... all applications are handled by cic. Vfs is just an agent helping with collection and dispatch of applications and they have no input or whatsoever on the decision of cic. So, after you submitted your application via paper. it will be transferred to cic for them to work on it. CIC handled everything... I hope my explanation is clear enough. Sorry I laughed... |

bluejays: Hello House, I have been following this thread on a low key for sometime now... but the worst has just happened lol! I am a student in Canada, and I applied for a visitor's (TRV) visa for my wife and kids, applied online route in March got a rejection notice today. Reasons: Travel history Personal Assets
I attached properties same ones I attached during my own application last year, although they are in my name (land, house), banks statements with good balance and strong inflow and outflow proof of employment Business registration certificates
My wife has travelled to the Uk twice in the last 6 years! (she actually came to visit me while I was doing my MSC in the UK) Don't really know what these guys are looking for! also attached her uk visa showing her trips in and out I need help in tackling the points they mentioned, as I am planning to reapply! The woman done cry tire today! lol I beg house, I need your ideas and inputs on how to counter their points!
Thanks NB: Keep up the good work! God bless Hello bro... when exactly did you apply for your wife in March? I also applied for my wife in March and still awaiting their reply. I submitted on March 11th precisely via online.. |

snoop4dem: This was what I actually did also. I just put all necessary docs to show I am in an employment without the introduction letter since my employer is not sponsoring me its good to gamble sometimes but often times, it`s better to put urself in the position of a VO and then see the type of question you will ask on such application. Remember, the VO wants an assurance that you will return after your study right......if you are in employment and u didn`t include reference letter from your employer.... it shows that you are absconding from duty. it means your employer is not aware of your travelling... The reference letter from ur employer is the utmost assurance giver to the VO and they dont have to state that they are sponsoring u or not... its just a simple to who it may concern to show that you are in employment with that company. Thats the interepretation!!! Well, what works for MR A might not work for MR B and you guys should stop gambling!! I was faced with such during my own time and I went extra mile to get that letter and my visa was processed in 3 weeks. Thats Grace and confidence... my sponsor wasn`t my employer nor my relative. it`s all about how u package urself and God`s Grace but remember to always put urself in the VO position and ask urself questions on ur application before submitting. NO rush.... |

bodejohn: You mean Oct 2015? Are you applying to be the president of CA? They are completely on their own, since my passport is with me, i have no worries. Those peeps are so useless these days. From the moments the syrian refugees were brought in to Canada.... The number of intake from other countries have reduced drastically and CIC is logically and technically indirectly helping students and visitors to differ their admission and visitation to another year by delaying their applications. its just logical.... |

mimikoko: Good day everyone, I sent in my online application for a tourist visa on the 7th of April but I still haven't received any information concerning the biometrics appointment. Please did anyone have a similar situation? Thanks. it shouldn`t take more than 2hours for you to get biometric request mail on your profile. Perhaps, your email address is wrong....Sign in into your account online to check and update it. |

ayooluwatoni: Just use your dad's if there's sufficient funds in it. You actually shouldn't need to show any more proof of funds since you got a scholarship to cover all your expenses, but to just be on a safe side, you might wanna have a balance of say 5m. Use your Dad and also make sure you fund your own personal account with atleast 1.5m to show them that you have enough money for flight and other basic things while your Dad's reference letter will show that you will be supported.... its important! irrespective of your scholarship... They dont want to hear that you are unemployed!!! and if you are employed, they want you to show proof....track record of income atleast |
