exactly. If u invitation state that she's staying with you or not and Cos it was not stated on her visa doesn't mean it's not on the system. Info on Visiting visa s always same
I disagree with that. What is on system is what is on her passport. I believe her travel history and work experience worked for her. She has been to Canada twice in the past. It's a gud plus... though, her work permit might not go beyond mine... if she apply for one... that's the only thing I see

How do you mean her visa is not tied to yours?
It wasn't tied to mine... am very very surprised and it's a very gud plus for us.

Have you received approval mail?
It's highly unlikely you will be rejected after passport request, just go pick up your passport and share the good news with the house
Though it's actually visiting visa. So, approval mail is not needed but just worried bcoz my cic account is still open and not yet closed. Got PPR on Monday. .. submitted on Tuesday and collection mail today and yet... my cic account is still open.

Why not apply for letter of reference before you resign. I mean apply for the letter now that you are still a staff. Then present a resignation letter after(duly acknowledged by HR) + the letter of reference in future as proof of experience.
Can we chat privately please. Thanks. ohlushorelar@gmail.com. I will appreciate that alot.

One of my previous employers denied me letter of reference because I didn't stay up till confirmation before I left them. According to them it's part of their HR policy. So be advised before you make your decision.
Thanks a lot. I appreciate ur response.

Hello House,
Please, I have this issue that I believe people in the house can help me reason along with. I am at the verge of being confirmed at my place of work and also just got my TRV to relocate with my hubby in Canny land. I want to know if there can be any future implication if I resign ahead of my confirmation since I will still be needing a reference letter from my employer in the nearest future but if I wait for confirmation, it will delay my travelling as I will need to give a one month notice before I can resign and I know confirmation doesn't add any financial value to my salary but just changing my employment status and then some other salient future financial benefits. I want to ask please if not waiting for confirmation can hinder my chance of getting such reference letter in the future or if there is any other implication. I work in a Bank.Thank you[/quote]

Congratulations brother...
I have not heard any information from them yet although I mailed the CIC Ghana last Friday.
Maybe they considered my application not urgent, my travel date in still in August 2016.
Thanks bro. It will end in praise. Just be optimistic and positive. I don't believe it's attached to travel date though the travel date attached to my wife's own is June. We shall hear good news soonest IJN

@iammartinzo,congrats.Making it how many days after biometrics? we did our biometrics April 12th.I'm asking so as to have my hope raised.
Last Friday made it 68th day but got the PPR mail today. So, it can happen anytime within that average processing date, it can be over nd can be less. I've seen 7 days after application before and I've seen 5 months. It's not from biometrics date but from the date ur application was recieved. I remembered submitting the application online on a Friday and it was received on Saturday. It's all God's Grace.

On the cic website, it shows 14week processing time to process a Nigerian study permit and 66day for visitors visa.

However, the information only shows how long it took cic to process 80% of the approved and rejected visa application in recent time. It doesnt determine the exact time your application will be approved or rejected as it can even take longer in some cases.
Exactly.... was so surprised to hear my app hasn't even been attended to 70days after submission.. those people are bunch of useless peeps and idiots

Hello everyone in the house.I must confess that I love this site. Its so encouraging and educative.Myself and my hubby applied for a Canadian visiting visa with our 2 daughters.I have a job and also run a store. My husband has travelled to countries like UK,South Korea,Romania,Cyprus,Tunisia,Spain to mention a few and he has a valid residence in one of the European countries. But we have never travelled together as a family because of the nature of his job.what are our chances? we submitted a bank statement of 3.5m.we went for our biometrics April 12th and we have since not heard anything. The only email we got was that our visa is being processed and we were given a tracking number.Pls I want to ask,How long does this take because we did an internet application. Thanks everyone as I await your responses.
Not to discourage u... my wife applied on 10th of March and after 70days.... they haven't even reviewed her application according to the msg I got from them this mrng when I sent them an email. Yours could be different though....

Thanks Martinzo,

Response from Lagos' Canadian Application Centre.

Good Afternoon,
Thanks for contacting us.
With her current status her chance of a visa maybe slim because of her age

We were also told taking 2kids along may look fishy to the VO/Border Agents.

However, I have tried to evaluate my potential for the Express Entry.

Shortfalls;
*I need to score 67%, then getting sorted is only a probability.
*I am 39Years old, will be 40by the time write IELTS and finish processing, meaning losing some marks.
*My practising field of Outbound Logistics is not hot in CA and not listed in short demand.

Good side though;
* I have an MBA & BSc (Chemical Engineering) from A Nigerian University
* PGCert and about rounding up an MSC in Process Business (Operations) Mgt from a UK university on part time

What do you think? I stick for Legit options, but don't mind some short cuts if possible smiley
where is Visa Application centre? is that VFS or CIC?
if its VFS..... I don't believe their response coz they have no input or whatsoever in visa decision.. They are just a courier company to help submit application to CIC. Just the link btw applicant and CIC... but if we look at it logically with ur wife's age and all that, the best will be express entry except she wants to study a course like nursing here.... which is obvious very very expensive!!!

My Wife and I are planning a phased relocation to Canada.

We have researched her going as a matured student (32yrs, OND) to improve her education, but going with 2kids (7, 5) but were told not to waste time as she would not get the Student Permit required.

We have good travelling record wife (4X- SA; 3X - UK; 4X - UAE); self (+10X - UK; SA -1); Kids (1 -UK; 1 -SA) all within the past 10year period.

I am a middle level mgr in a corporate firm in Nigeria (about N400K/mth; can provide an acct bal - N1.5mil). Introduction letter from office, payslips; title deed/approved plan on 2 lands under devt; CSCS acct (500k); Life insur (1.5mil); Pension Fund acct(10mil) are no problem.

My wife has a prvt business but not so buoyant as she is d own managing most the home front (can provide corporate acct bal -N500k) and tax clearance.

How best does this consider for a CA visting visa? Can we all go together, while I leave them there? Children schooling? Can she get some under table job till she regularises? what is needed to regularize? can she change her visitor visa for student permit while in CA( I can afford to pay her school fees and give some monthly stipends)? what options do I have to join them in 1/2yrs later?

Just perusing here for advice or experience, to limit exposure with shylock agents out there.

Thx.
Depending on her passion for education.... there is no age limit for education. She can get study permit if she's able to secure admission but since that study permit is just a path to gain permanent residency... it will be good if you both can apply for express entry instead of this long process thru school. All u need to is write the English test and then u can apply. Once u do well in that... am sure you stand a good chance of getting it not minding the points you will loose on age

I am not really anxious...

Whether it is released or not, i will be on vacation first and second week in August, God giving us life.
I can only be worried if my passport was with them.
That's true though... I just need to have my wife with me asap.... it's all about perspective planning.

As abestine answered try to provide evidence of the funds having ties to you before it was transferred to a common account.

I cant give 100% accurate answers , but from my research, showing funds magically appear in ur acct shortly before applying is ground for refusal.

It is advisable to build a decent soa over a few months preferably 4
I don't believe that. I had fund transferred to my account just 2 days before I filed my application and all I did was to write a letter of explanation explaining why that money was just coming into my account, purpose and who sent it. I wasn't denied. Though that shouldn't be a yardstick for anoda person not build account... it's all God's Grace

I guess ds days they just thick wateva dey wanna.
Exactly... They act irrational most times and reasons are baseless. Let her repackage and refire. Was the applicant visiting her husband or siblings? I am still expecting their response. it's almost 68 days since I applied for my wife.... It's just God's Grace!!!
