No. I disagree with you because every tribe in Nigeria has its own local delicacy that are peculiar to that region ,they should have gotten something of such in readiness for the would be inlaw and not Bread that is very common in the town no matter how expensive the bread is .Even if it is something of #100 once it is local it is most appreciated by me.
Bread is a NO NO AS far as I am concern .

Bread has nothing to do with culture. Even when visiting my uncles and aunties, we would usually buy loaves of bread along to give them. They do same.
Just like rice, bread is another common food amongst all tribe. So there's nothing wrong with the bread.
The OP took biscuits and juice along, why isn't that a no no for you too? They old people dey chop biscuits?
