What I know is that once the family lands are shared to the offsprings(even the ancestral land),whatever you receive is now yours to deal as you deem fit.
Unless in a case where express instructions were left not to sell it.
Other than that,its yours to deal

Hello fellow nairalanders, I have a question to ask and I need matured Igbo minds to answer it .pls
It happens that am in possession of my family's ancestral land, and right now am facing financial difficulty. so I intend selling the land, but people say selling ancestral land (ogbu) in igbo land brings future woe.. so my question is, is there no other way out to sale the land? thanks as I anticipate your matured answers.
