As most people probably know, I’m currently on set filming a movie called “The Wedding Party”. In it, my Egbon @mofedamijo plays my Dad. Now, please pardon me, but this is SUCH a big deal to me… I grew up watching RMD on tv. He’s like my own personal Denzel Washington. And I can tell you this, he’s just as cool, if not cooler, in real life as he is on camera. I kid you not. Very much a legend and an icon of Nigerian Entertainment, Still at the very top of his game decades later, every bit the consummate professional and somehow he remains the nicest guy. I’ve only ever been star struck twice in Africa : the day I met JayJay Okocha, and the day I met RMD.
So it’s even a bigger deal to me to actually get to work with him in this capacity… and it been amazing.
Happy birthday Dad. Thank you for the doors you’ve opened, for leading by example, for being true to yourself and to your craft, for being who you are, and for generally just being awesome. It’s been a pleasure meeting and working with you. God bless and I wish you much more success.

Super Eagles International footballer, Ahmed Musa is saying goodbye to CSKA Moscow, his coach Leonid Slutsky confirmed. Musa is to be moving to Premier League, possibly with champions Leicester.
Leicester were linked with a move for the speedy Nigeria winger in January but he has since also been rumoured to be on his way to West Ham and Southampton.
Musa has been playing in Moscow since 2012 and he enjoyed his most prolific season in front of goal in 2015-16, scoring 13 goals in 29 Russian Premier League outings.
“He’ll be leaving Tuesday, ” Slutsky told Russian media on Sunday

An unidentified man was shot in the head by suspected cultists at Titogate, a very busy area along Kashim Ibrahim road in Makurdi, Benue State yesterday July 3rd. Eyewitnesses told Timenaija that the deceased came to the area at about 6pm to purchase a phone when two gunmen on motorcycle approached and shot him in the head. He died instantly.
It is believed that the killing of the young man was a reprisal attack by a cult group. This sad incident comes days after another young man was killed by suspected gunmen last Friday July 1st.

A female student of Delta state Polytechnic Otefe, Delta state identified as Toju Udu, was found dead at the school’s staff quarters junction yesterday Saturday July 2nd. No one knows how she died. Meanwhile her remains have been deposited at the state morgue while investigations by the police has begun.

Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike on Friday led the entire State Executive Council on a condolence visit to the family of renowned international author, Late Captain Elechi Amadi. xxxThe governor stated that the late author is an international figure who used his literary works to shape lives and encourage people to embrace the tenets of development. He said:
“The Late Captain Elechi Amadi was a gift to the Aluu community , the Ikwerre ethnic nationality, Rivers State and the entire people of Nigeria.Bleep”Personally, I benefitted from his literary works as I drew lessons from the words of wisdom contained in them. Captain Elechi Amadi through his works helped shape the society “.
He said the state government will participate actively involved the burial of the late author. He urged the people of the Ikwerre ethnic nationality not to localise or politicise the burial of Captain Elechi Amadi as he is an international figure.
He said:
“We will do the best so that Nigerians will continue to remember Captain Elechi Amadi as a national hero”.
The governor stated that the late author is loved by the entire State. He noted that his legacy is engraved in the heart of the people.

“We have lost a father and a devoted nationalist. We are pained, but we must find consolation in his achievements. To the family, I urge you to remain strong as we share in your grief and we will stand by you”, Governor Wike said.

Responding, son of the late Captain Elechi Amadi, Mr Carl Elechi Amadi thanked the governor for visiting the family at their moment of mourning.

A street hawker lost his life this afternoon while being chased by Kick Against Indiscipline officials along Ikorodu road in Maryland today. According to eyewitnesses, the KAI officials making an attempt to enforce the law, chased a man hawking along Maryland bridge. While trying to avoid them, he ran into a BRT bus and was knocked to the ground, he died instantly.
Angry hawkers and area boys armed with sticks & stones immediately descended to destroy all BRT buses in the area and riot in protest. The Army and police officers have since arrived to the area to restore order. More photos after the cut…

Ghanaian pastor and head of the International Godsway Church, Bishop Daniel Obinim, during his recent healing service in his church, asked his male members who wanted bigger p**nis to file out. He then laid his hands on their genital region and offered special prayers.
In March this year, same pastor told his congregation he has the power to pray for anyone who wants bigger breast, buttocks or genitals.
“If you do not like the looks of any part of the body, come to me, what do you want that I can’t offer…if you want a big buttocks I can do it for you, if you want big breasts, I can help…if you have a small manhood, I can change them all when I come to the spiritual realm…,” he is quoted as saying in one of his services.
