nickvanilla: Truth be told, both are extraodinary attackers. But based on achievements, messi has no rival.50 goals in a single la liga season,91 goals in a calender year, and 4 consecutive ballon d'or awards are enough to convince me that messi is not only better than ronaldo but he is also the greatest player ever to have played the round leather game.have a nice day you all.

Thank you o. I support the both of them and love good football but truth be told, Ronaldo has had a very good season and he has suddenly become the better player. Thats not how it works

Guy, u are totally biased . U just a messi fan , I started watching messi play since 04/05 season , I watched his debut game live on tv wen Ronaldinho gave him that chipped pass that he used to score his 1st goal . Pls and pls I have Neva in my life watched messi track back to mark for club or country , I have Neva seen him tackle and that's y he rarely gets booked . Pls correct me if am wrong , hv u Eva seen him near his own 18yard box when the opposing team wanna play a corner kick . Hardly will u even c messi in hi own half .

Messi only stared scoring loads of goals when Ronaldo joined real . Messi had Neva Eva scored 30 goals in a season until Ronaldo joined la liga and that was possible because he took ibrahimovic's role as d point man and that was d reason y ibra left barca . Messi is Neva humble , liv those gimmicks u c on the pitch

Good point there bro. 1st i will take you back to a game you should remember since you claim never to have seen Messi track back. Barca vs Man City, if u saw that match then you clearly saw Messi track back to dispossess Aguero and that was one of highlight of the game. I would have mentioned others but i will rest my case for now. If you watch football very well then you will know that Messi has no business at the back when its obvious that Messi wil start most of the attack. Messi's work is to charge the opposition defense and try to put pressure on them when they have possession and not to collet the ball (mind you even John Terry cant win possession in that region unless there is a mistake there. Messi does do his wrk defensively much more than Ronaldo because most times Ronaldo does not start the attack for Madrid and his marking is poor and you cant defend that unless you are trying to cover the obvious truth. Messi is short and cannot defend setpiece like Ronaldo and i am not denying that.

Now talk about goals, messi was mostly injured and mind you messi was never playing the false 9 role until Guardiola came and that was when he started having less injury, tho it does not mean he was not the best player at Barca b4 then
Sports / Re: Lionel Messi V Christiano Ronaldo by Iamzuna(m): 7:16am On Sep 12, 2014
Endowed595: You pple are not serious, When does messi ever mark or husle ball, Ronaldo is way way better in free kick, shot power, speed, aerial balls..... Messi is just a lazy goal scorere.....Suarez don show nw

And Ronaldo marks better? Get your facts right. Barca plays high pressing pattern which makes everyone press opponent and mark your area when not with the ball but in Messi's case, he has to press and put opposition defence under pressure (u dont expect 1 man to mark 4 defenders and a DM passing the ball around) and then Messi has to conserve his energy because same Messi has to start every attack and take on ?? Opposition players. Besides messi stil win more balls defensively than Ronaldo. Apart from defending corners, tell me where you have seen Ronaldo mark with collecting a card.

As for freekicks, u make me laff by saying Ronaldo takes way better FK

Let's do the maths;

Ronaldo-----255/250= 1.02 goals per match
Messi--------276/266= 1.04 goals per match

Ronaldo-------378/573= 0.66 goals per game
Messi---------367/459= 0.80 goals per game

Since there are no half goals or quatre goals. They have both scored an average of one goal per match and that makes it equal tongue. Don't mind me, just joking. Based on the statistics you have provided, Messi has a better goal ratio than Ronaldo. Thanks! I will verify in my free time o.

U dae solve maths o.. Lol. I am not disputing the fact that Ronaldo is not equally as good as messi but its just that Messi has an edge in the sense that he can single handedly change a game by himself and when he does not play well, his teams struggle. Messi does not need an assist to change a game (like in World Cup). Believe me if messi plays 4 Madrid then he wud score a lot more than he is scoring now at Barca. But as good Ronaldo is, he does not play well in some games and Madrid wud win convincingly and he might even tap in a goal on a day he plays poorly but on his day he is unstoppable bt most times cannot win games on his own (World Cup). If you can remember what Pep Guardiola said (that it was not him that did the most to win the trophies he won at Barca but it was Messi that won him trophies) then you should understand that no coach would say that when he has a whole team to praise.

That said, i wud add that we are blessed to watch the greatest football rivalry ever. Both players to me are the best ever.

habiolah: I believe that Ronaldo cannot play well in a tiki taka team like Barca but Messi will have no problem with a counter attacking team. Wrong?

What people fail to understand is that Madrid has a better balanced team than Barca. Ronaldo does little or nothing when the team is down but takes the glory when they win (probably because he might just head in a corner or just tap in a Di Maria pass). Lol

As far as I am concerned, Messi has graduated to the Senior Barca team as far as 2005/2006. Those names you mentioned are basically centre forwards and Messi isn't one so, I see no reason why he should be disturbed. Moreover, we can't compare their antecedents ( previous clubs etc) but comparing their stay in La Liga and no of goals scored per match, Ronaldo still has a better goal ratio than Messi.

Now here is your stats... From 2009 till date for Real Madrid, Ronaldo has played 250 games and scored 255 goals..... Messi for Barcelona from 2009 till date has played 266 games and scored 276 goals.
For total career goals, Ronaldo has played for Lisbon, United and Madrid a total of 573 games and scored 378 goals..... Messi in total for Barcelona has played 459 and scored 367 goals.....

So please tell me what stats you are as well talking about and who has a better goal per game ratio
Sports / Re: Lionel Messi V Christiano Ronaldo by Iamzuna(m): 9:31pm On Sep 11, 2014
naturalwaves:
Which statistics are you referring to? Messi has spent almost twice the time Ronaldo has spent in La Liga and Ronaldo is almost catching up. If he (Ronaldo) should spend the same time, he will take Messi's numerous goals to the bins.

Lol.... You are so wrong... Need i remind you that Messi started from the youth team in Barca and graduated to first team. He also had competition from the likes of Eto, Henry, Larsson, Dinho, Guily, Gio Dos Santos (when he was still playing his best football) then and he was most of the time injured. Now if you want to know what i mean, count their goals from when Ronaldo joined Madrid and use that to compare. Ronaldo was in Man United for about 3 Years before he started scoring lots and lots of goals in a season. So if you would want to compare both players based on games then you will have to start from when Ronaldo was in Lisbon (also not forgetting that Ronaldo is older then Messi and must have started his senior career before Messi). But if you want to compare the goals based on games Ronaldo has played in Madrid, then you will have to Start counting Messi's from when Ronaldo Joined Madrid.

brainyack: nice1. But come to think of it I don't know if It's becos I don't watch la liga o But I have never see messi head a ball.........and scoring many goals doesn't mean you are a great player. who know half of his career goals may have been from assists and pks Cos messi isn't a football labourer like bale :-D and someone was saying ronaldo is proud It's like u haven't met zlatan

Well you already rightly said that you don't watch la liga so i believe you dont understand what your saying. Messi has more assists than Bale and Ronaldo put together..

All dese analysis na jege jare. If mesef analyze both players based on potentials and ability, then Ronaldo would win by a wide margin but then your ability and potentials cannot make you a better player (ask Totti, Rooney, Cassano) but there is what we call Statistics (sic) and the Stats speaks 4 each player. Now concerning Ronaldo and Messi, if i should be biased then i would say they are equal but the truth is Messi is way ahead of Ronaldo. It was only Ronaldo's last season at United and last season that he was on equal level with injured Messi. And please any1 callin Portugal an average team knows little or notin about football.

True but until the Last 4/5 months he was not on fire as he is now. Just like Ronaldo who only until recently just started performing
Sports / Re: Mikel Winning AFOTY Award Will Be An Insult To African Football by Iamzuna(m): 7:46am On Jan 03, 2014
@OP.. Its very obvious that you started watching football just recently. What you should consider first is that the award is for African excellence and not for European excellence. Do you think Yaya winning the award is not an insult to African football also? Well the reason why African football is backwards is because we only want to give these awards to player who flourish in Europe (not even flourish but sometimes its as bad as them just playing good for their club sides) and forget the heroes who make the African game worth watching. I am sure you will say a Zambian player does not deserve the award last year and you will also support that the Egyptian Aboutrika does not deserve to win the award at least twice. Now lets go to other continents, do you think its just players who do well in Europe that wins the best player award from those continents? Africa will want to copy from Europeans and Europeans are just selecting players from their own league (or have you seen the best player in South America compete for the EFOTY (before it was merged with FFOTY)). Now coming to the world cup calender year, why do you think that irrespective of the club performance its only the best at the world cup that wins the award *barring Messi 2010*(though his performance that year was something else). Once a major tournament takes place that year, the winner of the best player award should come from that tournament and i think for once it has to happen in Africa and since Mikel is the only one representing the champion of Africa then he has to win it. Also he does not play for a small team so he just has to win it.
Concerning the bench warmer argument, i think you guys have to start watching football all over again and understand that there is a difference between team rotation and bench warming. How can you argue that Mikel is a bench warmer when he is obviously getting much more playing time than Essien. Dont forget that there are other players in Chelsea that will leave this January and yet Mikel remains in the coach's plan and you call him a bench warmer.... Mourinho rotates his players and that is the reason why Mikel has had to sometimes sit on the bench and for your information Mikel is not a bench warmer and he has a better and a more successful last season than Yaya (generally not individually) so he has a claim for that award not for his performance in club (europe) but for his performance in the same AFRICAN football. For me all three players dont deserve to win the award as Eyeama or Petriopa should have won clearly (the later being the best player of the tournament).

I think the only reason why Dr. Manhattan is not as loud as others is because he cares about nothing and prefers to be left alone. But if this guy decides to care as much as superman, then there will be no evil..

Some of the feats silversurfer has done in the comic includes but not limited to
1.The power to move faster than the speed of light
2.Survived in stars and black holes
3.Can create interdimensional portals to microverses.
4.He can see through time and with concentration can achieve perception of past and future events in his vicinity(precognition)
5.The power cosmic also allows him to manipulate nature's ambient energy...if I begin name wetin en don do my mb go finish..yet na still 'boyboy' en dey do for another being(galactus the world eater) and that being na still 'boyboy' for yet another stupidly overpowered character..lol

Given the backgrouds of both the SilverSurfer and Dr. Manhattan

Including the sheer magnitude of Dr. Manhattan's abilities it would seem that SilverSurfer is at a disadvantage

Even you have doomed SilverSurfer from the beginning as you had set up this forum knowing what a magnificent battle this would be you were in the majorities eyes you and your defense for the SilverSurfer is not needed when people are in favor of Dr. Manhattan

It matters not that Norrin Rad was bestowed the powers of Galactus's Herald he is not strong enough to withstand an attack by Dr. Manhattan

In the end Dr. Manhattan would be the victor

Even if this battle took place Dr. Manhattan would already be aware of the outcome and with the power to alter fate if he so chooses can in fact defeat the SilverSurfer

So this battle is greatly in favor of Dr. Manhattan and I think the battle of strongest should be between Dr. Manhattan and Galactus (because i have just read about this Galactus and how powerful he is).

olushowunm: @OP... In farming or any other business money is made before you invest, its call margin of safety. Because you can't predict the output so you must control input costs. If you considering land preparation(i.e stumping right?), the budget cannot take care of it.
And in continuation of earlier comment... The manure can be applied before ploughing if its a land that have been used before, so it can be incorporated into the land.
So you will have save about N45,000 on fertilizer and application as all you need is free manure from nearby poultry, transport for the manure and the two-men job.
For Harvesting, how do you think 12,000 will cater for this, did you consider selling price of cassava, transportation to the market/processor?
On a more serious note the transporatation of 30tons to Lusada/Agbara will not cost less than 70k as of today and next 2years might be different. So, Cassava price remains as it is today, then you will be making N375,000 @ N15,000/Ton if only you have 25tons!!!

Please Olushowum, I would like to meet with you to discuss some projects my group have on hand and i believe your ideas are much needed as we are looking at developing agriculture and please i would like you to let me have your contact so i can meet with you.
Thanks a lot

Am quite sure your perspective would have been different if you had been on that flight. The OP raised a number of salient points-- the hurriedly fixed road all because of the burial, -- the danger of unplanned hovering of a "local" aircraft in the air because some VIPs (not the President) intend to take off.

This is not the first and will definitely not be the last. At least from what i know and have read in the past, this is not the first time something like this is happening and will not be the last. I think Mr. Aboki should be happy he is alive and fine and nothing happened. The point of the road, with the way Nigeria is today i think the people of that region should then be happy that the woman died if that is what it would take to fix their road that has been abandoned. I believe that is what is happening there right now but as the OP is not from there he is seeing it as a complain. You people should stop criticizing and you should understand the fact that 'THIS IS NOT THE FIRST AND WILL NOT BE THE LAST' not just in Nigeria

Do you see what I am talking about ? You mental midget, hardly can spell in English, yet, you and other cretins in your league of whimsical tomfoolery want to be allowed to land within a busy airstrip where VIPs are taking off against decisions of control tower. It is wise for you to get adequate education to function within the ambient of norm. The fact, that you call people names even without personal attacks signals a larger dysfunction of your celebra. You need to be cultured in acceptable behaviorism in blogosphere.

You need to be checked in, examined, and declared "Unsafe" to live with the larger population. Regarding the 45 minutes delay "purportedly" experied by "Aboki" the Original Poster. He needs to understand that there is a reason the industry has Air Traffic Control. In one of my very many travels, we hovered over JFK for more than 45 minutes before we landed safely. We appreciated having a safe landing instead of bickering about delay. This is what sane people like my humble self do, but I cant say the same about the Mental Midgets and APC mosquitoes.

naptu2: This reminds me of "Air Force One, Go Round!".

The airspace around the head of state is always closed for security reasons. This is the case, regardless of who is head of state.

Note: President Jonathan did not order the closures. He might not even know about it. The are professionals who handle such duties. Air Force One was almost involved in a collision because a US President (I can't remember, but I think it was Nixon) ordered the pilot to tell the control tower to re-open the airspace.

In recent times, air force and navy jets have had to be scrambled because civilian planes entered Air Force One's restricted air space.

However, there are ways of managing the situation. The President should have flown into Port Harcourt Air Force Base, rather than the International Airport at Omagwa. Planes in Lagos, Abuja and other cities should have been held back until the airspace is opened, etc.

True talk but remember there are other dignitaries as well as well as Governors and the VIP's in this country not just the President this time. I dont know though is there Hanga in PH airforce base.
