Currently too high and well above our economic growth rate. We need financial capacity to build infrastructure and public services. |

Gbadebo19: Your parents disregarded economic reality for you to survive. They forgot about their own future plans so that YOU could have a future Here you are saying all sorts of gibberish about economic reality. Your parents had the choice, yes, but they decided to forgo their own happiness for YOU. When you became an adult at 18, they could have made the decision to stop supporting you, but no, it was then that your demands got higher and they braced up to weather the storm. All you saying nonsense on this thread are children of dysfunctional homes, no doubt. You forgot something very important, I didn’t ask or beg them to born me. Got it? |

Nnamdipapa: Parents save and invest first their old age. I need nothing from my kids in old age. That is the way it should be as the parents have decades to plan, save and invest money. We have to change our culture to reflect realities on ground. Parents have no business having kids without a means to care for them. Thank you. Our emotionally irrational Nigerians will not agree. |

hotseat: Only an ungrateful child would turn his back on his parents especially when they become old and incapable of taking care of their bills.
Most of such children won't mind going overboard to please their girlfriends and friends at the expense of their biological parents.
If only they knew how their parents toiled night and day to get them to their present level in life.
Guess what?
When the parents of such evil children die, they turn their burials into a carnival of sorts telling whoever cares to listen how good their parents were.
Whether one's parents are swimming in affluence or not, one owes them a whole lot of gratitude by showering them with love, at least, now that they're still alive not showering hypocritical praises on them at their demise.
@hotseat To each his own. These are your beliefs don’t force them on others. |

You think a grown person just sits back and decides to become a liability to the kids he or she raised?!!
You guys think you have life completely figured out... I laugh!!! You are only partially correct. A lot of parents especially African mothers do plan to become dependent on their children. |

dettolgel: Nigerian men used to be proud and emulated by other African men. Today they are laughing stock, looking for any successful woman's to piggy back on out of Nigeria.
Where are men like our fathers; that did all it took to cater for us and our mothers? Where are those men that single handedly took their family abroad? Where are those men that usually travel back to Nigeria to marry and bring their wives abroad?
What we have today are nose piercing, hair braiding sissy boys looking out for already made women to leach on One of those sissy nigga like the one above me, is asking where women marry men in Nigeria. For your information they both marry each other, if you want to push it further (giving your knack for nonsense) technically according to the bible it is the woman marrying the man, since the man will leave his family to york with the woman By their words you shall know them. Stay there dey look for mumu enslaved men. Men are getting wise and opening their eyes to the game. The UK , US and Europe have opened our eyes to the true nature of women. |
