ADDIS ABABA, May 16 (Reuters) - Unidentified gunmen killed the manager of a plant owned by Nigeria’s Dangote Industries Limited in Ethiopia on Wednesday after he was attacked in the restive Oromiya region while returning to the capital from the factory, officials said.
Oromiya, which surrounds the capital Addis Ababa, was plagued by violence for over two years, largely fueled by a sense of political and economic marginalisation among its young population.
Hundreds died in the violence that was triggered in 2015 by demonstrations over land rights, before they broadened into rallies over freedoms that spread to other regions.
“The company’s director died following an attack by unknown gunmen that took place while he was returning to Addis Ababa from the factory alongside two company employees,” a government statement said.

The 2018 Motorsport Season.

Welcome to the 1st Calendar Season of planned Motorsport activities at The Motorsport Raceway, Evbuobanosa.

A lot is planned and over the coming days, we will be keeping you inundated with new ideas for Motorsport in 2018. We want to try and make sure you finish 2018 completely "Motorsportized".

Of course you can always check https://motorsportraceway.com/web/calendar-of-events/ to book a weekend that works for you.

To summarize however, full bore Racing action starts on February 24th & 25th, 2018 with the start of The BT Series (#PumpRED) & The RoadX Team Car Racing Series.

The RoadX Team Car Racing Series continues every month except in June and October and The BT Series Races will be further hold in May & August. Both Series leads up to the "Mother of All BT" races on the 24th of November 2018.

In between all of that racing action, we have planned a day at the track for all car brands with cash prizes to be won, The Race Track Challenge Series, an Easter Bike Stunts & Drag Racing Palooza, and sent out invitations to our Speed cycling (Criterium) and Speed skating brothers and sisters to also come enjoy @ the "Playground of the Brave". #NoFear.

All these and more we will be bringing to you as we flip the pages of 2018. You can also stay updated on our Instagram pages @superbikenigeria, @motorsportraceway and @roadxraceseries.

Nothing, repeat, Nothing beats the sound and sights (& colours in motion) of the Symphony of Speed at the MRE!
