In other words, she loves the idea of you, but not you. When that thing about you is gone, there goes the love.

You're a lucky man, actually. And you should say those words more often to her now that you're married. It'll do wonders.
Kingluqman:
Yes my wife did said those words to me! Funniest part is that I truly love her too but don't fancy those "I love you" stuffs grin grin

My point, exactly.
ExudeLoveToAll:

Women can marry just for employment reasons, meaning she has few life options to break out from but can see marriage as that option. Yes a woman can marry you without having any feelings for you.

An uncomfortable truth, bro.

This is a very good question that most Nigerian men can't answer because they bought their woman.

I'm starting to think most Nigerian marriages are glorified situationships.

E dey pain me too say naija crash out. As soon as they scored the second one, I stopped watching and switched the channel to movies. But it's also painful that, probably, most Nigerian men never heard their wives tell them "I love you " I bet you told her you loved her and she just smiled. Again, a woman can marry you and give you children without loving you
Doing wifey duties aren't necessarily a sign of love but if responsibility and obligation. I'm not saying if she says she loves you, then she automatically does, but would she even say those words to you? It matters, bro.
kabius:

See me see wahala, she said yes to your proposal and still went ahead and marry you even have kids for you. Is it till she say I love that you will know she does. After doing the aforementioned will it matter if she says it or not since she has already proved it. I no fit sout abeg Naija loose finals.

Actually, yes, a woman can marry you without loving you. But the question remains, did she say those words to you or not?
Osetigo. 😀
kabius:
See question na. Will she marry you if she hates you?

The woman you eventually married, did she ever tell you she loved you or is in love with you while you were courting? Did she ever say those words to you?

Chai. This is highly commendable of them. It's very sad, and I'm glad the Eagles made time to recognize those passionate fans.

How much long does it take from Seme to Cotonou

Are there taxis or just bikes

Bikes won't take you into Cotonou. Too far. Gotta be taxi. 1k cfar.

stay away from watching tension-soaked Super Eagles matches.

What are you talking about? The bolded above is bullshit. "Tension-soaked" events can happen anytime, anywhere, any day. It's just sad what happened. May his soul rest in peace and his family and friends be comforted.

Nope. Not even a stamp on my passport. I guess I'm being naive here. From Badagary to seme via taxi. From seme across the border via bike. Not even a question from an officer.

I really really really messed up for not taking photos. Cotonou is beautiful. At least, the areas I hung around. I especially took notice of the quality of most of the cars on the roads. Impressive. There's no Toyota worship going on there like in Nigeria. You have your modern Suzukis, Hyundai, Kia (especially Kia. Loved the EV6s I saw), MINI, etc. I know, I know, everything is not all about cars, but I'm a car guy🙂. So, I had a safe and interesting trip. Barring the language barrier, it's really nice.

Now in Badagary. Currently sitting in a taxi that's supposed to take me to seme. Driver says her fare is 1k. That I'll cross the border with 2k.
ibinaboonline:
I'm doing it right now. So far so good, but the prices are higher than you estimated. From Oshodi to Mike 2 is 400 naira. I'm currently in a bus headed for Badagary; the price is 1,500 naira. I'll keep you updated with the trip. 🙂

Agriculture / Re: Egg Price Rises As Many Poultry Farms Shut Down In Kano by ibinaboonline: 6:24pm On Feb 04
For the record, in February 2023, my little brother bought a box of day-old broiler chicks for 25k. The box has 50 chicks. Plus an extra chick , sef. He was just experimenting with poultry farming and everything went well.

Okay.

By November, a box of the same day-old broiler chicks was selling for 47K. That's right. 47K. They said it's seasonal. Right.

As I type this, the price is now 43K, although some sell for 39K. Very nice.

You haven't even considered feed, medicine, etc. Interesting days ahead.

I just sent a message to a certain transport company inquiring about the bus fare from Jibowu to Cotonou? They replied with 70K with passport. I'm dumbfounded. Like, really? For a 3-hr trip. I've never been to Cotonou, but I didn't expect the fare to be this high. Any tips?
