Crime / Re: Court Remands Yahoo Boy For Raping 17-Year-Old Girl To Death In Kwara by ibinaboonline: 4:05pm On Dec 04, 2023
Did the so-called law enforcement release this statement so obviously skewed? From what I just read, I don't think the teenage girl - God rest her soul - was "lured to a hotel" and raped to death. Even so, I wasn't there, so... We all know what 13 - 14-year-old girls are up to these days. You could end up with someone with underlying health problems and you are screwed, literally. The guy even volunteered that he's an internet fraudster. Wow. Kudos, Naija Police, although this is probably just a thoughtless, tactless, junk from a stupid blogger.

Do you have a 2010 Toyota Sienna/ How much do you spend on repairs and maintenance (including fueling) per year? Even if yours isn't exactly 2010, any second generation model between 2004 and 2010 will do.

Car Talk / See What Toyota Racing Development Did To The Camry XSE by ibinaboonline: 5:59pm On Nov 29, 2023
The automotive giant recently unveiled the next-generation Toyota Camry XSE race car.

The striking new XSE race car is the fruit of a collaborative effort between Toyota, TRD (Toyota Racing Development, U.S.A.), and Calty Design.

The team ensured this latest NASCAR Cup car mirrored the body styling of the recently launched 2025 Toyota Camry XSE road car as closely as possible.

The TRD-modified XSE race car will debut in the 2024 NASCAR Cup Season.

We're currently preparing a special about the next generation Camry street version. Bookmark our website to stay updated:

We all know life is unpredictable and anyone can find themselves in a planned or unplanned situation where they have to spend the night outside. If you have a car or you are in a car, wouldn't you want to know the safest, preferably free of charge, places to just park the car and sleep inside till morning?

In the USA, people often find themselves homeless and have to resort to sleeping and living out of their cars. We've just published an article about the safest and legal places to sleep your car if you're homeless in America, and now I feel a bit guilt and compulsion to create a similar title to educate Nigerians.

The problem is I'm having a hard time identifying parking spots safe enough to encourage stranded people to go there, park, and sleep in their cars till morning. I thought of Nigerian churches too. Would they allow strangers to habitually park at night and leave in the morning without any obligation to join the church?

So, I'm hoping you guys can help me out here with your inputs, comments, opinions, and ideas. I'll like to create an article on this topic, but I'm depending on your comments. Please mods, move this post to the front page.

Politics / Re: Landlord Sentenced To Life Imprisonment For Defiling Two Daughters Of Tenant by ibinaboonline: 10:50am On Nov 21, 2023
There is no innocence in this world anymore. Both the accused and the accuser can easily be the victim of each other.
Factos

Even an actual pedophile can program his victims to accuse another innocent fellow of his own crimes.
Bleak, but factos

As for those who cannot live their lives without a pedophile perversion, better you send yourselves on exile before your crimes would send you to captivity.
But exile where kwanu? Where children does not exist? Unless "exile" means chopping off the manhood, and now fingers too. Maybe, the toes would need to be chopped off as well very soon.

Most especially as a landlord, avoid the kids of your tenants, especially that tenant who is not ready for peace in the house. Never be found helping the children with any task or assignment.
Seconded. Ten is happening.

Throwback:
As an adult male, learn to stay away from young kids who are not your relation. As in, never let them into any house or room you occupy.

Most especially as a landlord, avoid the kids of your tenants, especially that tenant who is not ready for peace in the house. Never be found helping the children with any task or assignment.

I would like to know what the prosecution proved with the testimony of the children.

As for those who cannot live their lives without a pedophile perversion, better you send yourselves on exile before your crimes would send you to captivity.

Lastly, parents should be very mindful of who and where their children have access to.

There is no innocence in this world anymore. Both the accused and the accuser can easily be the victim of each other.

Even an actual pedophile can program his victims to accuse another innocent fellow of his own crimes.

Depends on family. The duplex immediately close mine in Nigeria was built by a guy in Singapore. Haven't even been back to step foot in it but I imagine he's seen pictures. That's it. Never stepped foot in Nigeria from the foundation to the finishings. Very tasteful property, comprising two duplexes in the compound. So, it ultimately depends on family.

Left Picture: Venza's replacement Right picture: Outgoing Toyota Venza

The Toyota Venza, once the symbol of a special blend of wagon and crossover, went under the knife to be reborn as a hybrid-only SUV known as the Harrier in some markets. All the same, the Venza's journey appears to have reached its conclusion, as Toyota paves the way for a new king to ascend the throne – the Crown Signia.

Toyota's decision to close the Venza’s chapter after the 2024 model year follows a well-known pattern in the nameplate's transient existence, fraught with evolving body styles and powertrain configurations that just didn’t seem to do the trick needed to keep the Venza long-term.

The Venza’s most recent return to the market was in 2021 as a midsize hybrid SUV, but – apparently, it still couldn’t move enough units to keep the marque’s number crunchers happy.

The SUV's significantly heftier price tag, despite the similarity in size and powertrain to the RAV4 Hybrid (starting at $36,415 vs. the RAV4 Hybrid's $32,825), could be just one of – we believe – a few reasons the Venza just couldn’t dislodge the bolder on its shoulder.

Toyota justified Venza’s premium price with a more sophisticated design, enhanced convenience features, and cutting-edge tech, including the standout electrochromic glass roof panel that allowed drivers to alter its opacity. Be as it may, consumer response remained lukewarm, with only 133,727 Venzas sold since the model's 2021 revival.

In contrast, the RAV4 moved a massive 366,741 units in 2022 alone. Where the Venza failed with its unjustifiably unremarkable performance, a high starting price, and limited cargo space, Toyota has – hopefully – groomed the 2025 Toyota Crown Signia to fill the void left by the Venza on these fronts.

The Crown Signia takes the throne with a three-motor hybrid system, producing a decent 243 horsepower, significantly surpassing Venza's net 219 horsepower. Moreover, the Crown Signia introduces towing capabilities, rated up to 2,700 pounds.

Furthermore, while the Venza’s compact nature and the resultant limited cargo space come from a shared wheelbase with the RAV4 Hybrid, the Crown Signia offers a more spacious interior.

Although the Venza is taking its innovative electrochromic roof with it, the Crown Signia's Limited trim will court Venza’s fans with a conventional glass roof. Time will tell if the new Signia will wear the crown better and if the Venza will even stay dead this time. To see photos and learn more about the Venza's replacement, follow the link below:

Greetings everyone, I've been driving for over a year now and I've noticed we don't know how to use headlights in this country even my friend that visited from the US complained same thing.
I don't know if it's selfishness or what but how will someone be on very high beam even when opposite an incoming vehicle, I almost entered a ditch because an SUV beamed on my small Corolla to the point I couldn't even see properly, are there rules set for all these in this country?
God's willing if I don't leave this country within the next 2 years I'm getting a bigger vehicle and I will purposely install massive led lights I will be counter beaming people till they notice their mistake.
Career / Re: Should I Quit Or Continue by ibinaboonline: 6:14pm On Nov 03, 2023
Before I even read the comments, I'm sure Nairalanders are already asking this OP to teach them how to trade, ergo, the true purpose of this post 😁.
Centpico:
As at 2019,i had worked for 7 years without any evidence, woke up by 5am everyday to prepare for workby 7 till around 6pm when we closed and even had to work on some saturdays. Hoped on buses every single day to and from work. Everyday was painful, annoying even and always felt like there was no way out even when i was begging for one.

I thought of quitting but quickly shoved it off my mind when i realised how saturated the job market was. I also thought of switching to another field but that would require money and time and i didn't have any. I prayed for a way out every single day, to just be out of the misery i was facing at that time.

Fastfoward to 2020, things got worse with the pandemic, fortunately i was not laid off but we weren't paid since we weren't working, it was around that time i stumbled upon trading, a colleague had told me about it before but i didn't take it seriously until i realisee i had to earn in another way from a regular job.

I paid a mentor about 50k to teach me everythingabout it, i had to plead for him to accept that since i didn't have much at that time and i also wasn't expecting any salary. After about a month of intensive training i started trading fully.

It wasn't easy for the first month, had some losses but after that i started getting my wins. Got about 4million in my first 8 months, and continued from there.

For about 3 years i have been able to make about 30 million and yes i lost many prop firm accounts and trades too especially for the unprofitable months but overall it has been rewarding.

My problem now is the amount of time i put in nowadays,  it's not been fun at all. Yes the reward is good, the work put in has really been hectic. In fact its almost harder than my former job. Most people think because i work from home , i don't stress very much which is a very big myth. There are some days i feel like calling it quit and doing something else thats as rewarding but not as tasking as trading. It's not as easy as most people picture it will be. Awake for almost the whole day backtesting, fowardtesting, teachind and also mentoring.

Please if you have something else that's as rewarding but not as tasking would love to know about it. Thanks

What this country is turning into is not funny. All those supporting lawlessness just because of tribal sentiments, you'll regret and suffer the consequences with the rest of us many years after your current president has finished and left office. We now live in a country where lawmakers will serve impeachment notice and then run for safety because they got teatgas-ed. Continue.

Not correct. It's around $1000 to $1300. The Keke people I spoke to emphasized the electricity issue. They were like, "we never see power charge phone, na where we go see light charge Keke?" This one in the picture takes 5 to 6 hours to be fully charged, and has a range of 30km.

Car Talk / Are You In The Keke Business? See Photos. by ibinaboonline: 9:39pm On Oct 28, 2023
Are you in the Keke business in any way? Be it as a rider, a lender, parts dealer, or mechanic? Please answer this one question: What do you think about electric tricycles/Keke? Do you think it's a good idea for the Nigerian roads and business climate? Have you seen one in Nigeria before? Would you buy electric Keke if you found one for sale in your area?

Note: Electric Keke are tricycles you could charge like a cellphone without the need to buy fuel. See the photos below.

Update

I posted this question here because I was preparing an article on the subject. Although I didn't get any responses here, the article is ready. You can read it here: https://www.carsandhorsepower.com/featured/electric-keke-tricycles-the-future-of-commercial-transportation-in-nigeria
