It is nice that PTDF has started sending scholars to Germany. I have lived and schooled in Germany for the last couple of years and i would like to infact say that no PTDF scholar should for any reason choose a Fachhochschule or Technische Hochschule. The German higher education system has three types of Universities in the following order:
1) Technical Universities & normal Universities
2) Technische Hochschule
3) Fachhochschule

Attending technische Hochschules' and Fachhochschules' puts one at a disadvantage during job search. Employers do not explicitly state that however the reality on ground states that. If one opts for a PhD after Msc one would be required to take a preliminary semester before one commence the PhD.

If you're coming here for hustle related stuffs technische Hochschules' and Fachhochschules' are the best however if you are coming here with the aim to get a professional job technische Hochschules' and Fachhochschules' are a NO NO .

PTDF scholars please ensure to attend Technical Universities & normal Universities and not otherwise.

I just started writing some schools today to know if my
cgpa can get me the programs I want(engineering).
I noticed I haven't stumbled on something like graduate diploma for people like me.

Try schools in the East, if you've got working experience ensure to include a document to that effect when sending your applications. I got admitted to BTU(environmental Resource mgmt) with about the same CGPA though included i included a year and half work-experience document in my application(maybe that helped).Dont be deterred by a low CGPA, write as many schools as possible particularly schools that request that you send in your applications directly to them, these kind of schools tend to employ an holistic admission process i.e they look at all documents you send them particularly your undergrad grades in courses that are relative to what you intend studying for msc

Try and mail. The admissionoffice of ur school to inform them of ur financial constraint and if ur enrolment deadline is too close , u can request for enrollment extension to give u. Ample time for the blocket acct funding and VISAprocessing.God bless

I have written my school, they have refused to extend the enrolment deadline so my only hope now is that the Deutsche Bank send my acct details right in time.

Do u transfer the required amount?check your sperm mail.alternatively,you can scan the stamped bank transfer copy from the nigerian bank to them.they will still confirm it from DBank.make sure your details are clear.

The issue is Deutsche Bank is yet to send me my account details(they mailed me that i should send new blocked account opening form, i have done that since sept. 29.i am yet to hear/read from the Deutsche Bank after notifying them severally of the delivery of the new account form they requested)

@chatmate, i applied for Msc.Brandenburg University of Technology..navigate through this link(https://www.daad.de/deutschland/studienangebote/studiengang/en/) you should find different schools you can choose from.

The Deutsche Bank instructed me to send a new blocked acct opening form, i have since done that.The document was delivered on 29th september and signed for by one WEGE.i have mailed the Deutsche Bank severally to notify them about the delivery of the requested documents, surprisingly i have not gotten any response from the Deutsche Bank.I have called the Deutsche bank customer care line severally they keep referring me to their online contact form(i have not gotten any response using the online contact form)
I had my visa interview 10/10/14 and the embassy has mailed me requesting that i send a confirmation of the transfer of the required fund.
Pls House would my inability to provide the confirmation of the required fund not delay my visa processing and does anyone know how i can reach the student department of the Detschue Bank asides contacting them via email

Hello House:I got the following Message from the German bank;
Thanks for sending us your account opening documents,we regret your account cannot be opened, because the documents have been modified and reformatted by you?please send us new, not modified documents in original by postal or courier Service.
The new documents must not be confirmed by a German embassy again.

Pls has anyone been through similar problem , I do not remember formatting any document..pls house how do I resolve this.

@eke40seven:I was given two pieces of paper at the embassy today, one is the receipt of 4300naira i paid for opening blocked account and on the second paper two emails were written there-as follow:rk-201@lago.diplo.de,rk-visa201@lago.auswaertiges-amt.de, I was told to send an email to any of the two addresses requesting a student visa appointment.

Hello house, from what I read on this forum it seems visa interview dates are given out the same day one opens a blocked acct..I submitted a blocked acct form at the embassy today and I mailed them requesting for an appointment datet however I am yet to get a reply from the embassy.pls house hope nothing is wrong.

I am new here and would like to commend everyone here for the good work.pls I like to find out if as a FG scholarship award holder would I still need to open a block account or proceed directly to book an appointment for visa interview. In between I am a prospective msc student of Brandenburg university of technology Cottubus,Enviromental resource mgmt.
