teana4040: Gudday everyone....big ups to all who have being keeping this thread going with meaningful contributions and suggestions...
I need advice on what to do...I work with the an oil and gas firm with a salary of 310k after tax...I was given a 6months visa last year which expired in May this year...though I travelled with it last year Dec for 10 days..
This time I want to travel wit my husband.as my last trip was really boring, just did my tours alone. But we have a little constraint..my husband due to downsizing in his place of work...he has being out of work for like 7months now,so no salary...though they promise to recall them soon.
1.Now is it possible for me to sponsor my husband? 2.Does he need to put his employment papers to show he is was working before and has being placed on standby
3. He had some savings of about 700k...that he paid into my account so as to add up to d expenses for d trip....so if am to fill d form wld I say he is sponsoring too or am the full sponsor..
4. I had some tips from work paid into my savings account... I do I prove d source of funds
Thanks so much while I await ur response
Cc Justwise Vicjustice Epotek Iblaw And everyone Your hubby situation kept me thinking for long....its really complicated as those guys will just refuse in the name of either no economic ties or balance of probability. To me, someone who is not working and in business cant say he's sponsoring someone else What kind of letter did he get from his employer...Termination or Standby? Hope the tips from your office into your saving account is official, if yes ask your Account dept for a simple letter regarding the payment |

Just 3 days... that a decision has been made and my package has been forwarded back to me....this is unbelievable as I cannot even control my nerves again.... Pls what could have happened? Save me abegi...lol Sincerely i understand the way you feel but please calm down and hope for the best. shrinkhal: Hi Everyone,
This Screenshot was taken from my TLScontact V/Island application status page 3 days ago. Although I paid for delivery by courier, I wasn't given a tracking number. I am still yet to get it my passport in Calabar. Will be leaving the country in 4 days time. I don't want to go to Lagos and be told it's been dispatched... What do I do? Running dangerously out of time. I guess this delay is from the courier company, i suggest you call TLS first thing Monday morning, hope someone can assist you with their phone number but next time anything courier always ask for tracking number. |

BABAOYIN: Hi Guys,
Finally, good testimony, i collected my passport today mehhnn is not easy but i give glory to almighty God and thank you guys here for good info. and straight forward guidance....
But i submitted only my personal account (current acct) without company account, i remove the tax paper since the money in my tax paper (<100k) is lower to my claim income (above 200k) base on evaluation i saw in tax office when i printed out my statement of account for last six month in June, in fact i nearly postpone my application to December base on that but i use one mind and gather idea from Agent and different people testimonies here to make that decision, also i forget while filling the form that i apply for shenge visa before which i was denied but not stain my passport by stamp it but at the end i have my Visa back with "odun meji ni ilu Queen" Happy for you Congrtas!!! And welcome to the "odun meji ni ilu Queen club" |

taolut: Thanks everyone for the advise, each and every one had made a valid point, I was just curious as this was what they did to my mum the first time she applied, I contested it and explained clearly to the embassy all their doubts and they called her few days after to bring her passport to collect her visa.
It's just so unfortunate they they prefer lies, well packaged application with lies than the genuine ones I mean if it's truly her intention to run away, she would have applied all these years, it's not like she just suddenly become my sister or that I have just moved here.
Her husband did put all his work papers, and letter. She included her employment letter, her nysc cert and all her kids birth cert to show ties to naija.
Maybe she waits to start her new job then re apply, but I still would fire them an email on Monday as I have a case to use where the tribunal states that it is not enough to refuse visa based on probability of not coming back, I also intend to ask them what source of income they expect someone who has just finished serving to have.
I would still give it my best shot as these people has almost turned naija application to business centres.
If I hear anything, I shall let everyone know.
Once again, many thanks for the contribution, I do appreciate I still stand by what i said earlier, your sister submitted a good application. It was a 50/50 probability but the ECO decided otherwise. Yes, they are in the business of chopping visa fee in the name of balance of probability Best of Luck |

worry359: Just stating FACTS. Rather than your post telling her to re-apply without correcting the obvious problems with her background. if you feel you have strong points and documents against the highlighted points of refusal then re-apply and pray you will not be donating visa fee to them because they are in the business of chopping people's visa fee in the name of balance of probability. worry359: You have suffered because of the thousands that have overstayed in the past. I am sorry but poor, single and no job is never going to get a visa. There is no point in contacting the visa center or appealing. You must build up your strong ties to home and your proof that you will return after your visit. I am sorry but poor, single and no job is never going to get a visa. Wait a year or more and build up your bank and work service. @worry359 Are you speaking on behalf of the ECO? |

taolut: Good evening everyone, I stumbled on this thread whilst threading online for some help and was hoping someone could please help me shed some light into this form me.
I am a british citizen, live in the UK and work here as well as my husband and children, I have just invite pd my immediate younger sister to come visit and meet my littlw son, I have invited her to come celebrate my sons first birthday party.
I supplied all my documents, my work documents with good income, my husbands pds documents and statements as well as mine, house documents, passports, pictures, name i even supplied my bank statements in Nigeria.
My sister just finished serving and has a job offer which she is meant to start end of oct and she is meant to come for 4 weeks before she starts, she is married with 2 kinds and would be leaving her family behind, she included the evidence of her kids and letter from her hubby.
I wrote a personal letter stating the relationship which is very obvious as we included all our pictures. Even baby pictures and I stated that I understand she is about to start work and that I would be responsible for every expenses of her trip, which I am capable of doing and that we would accommodate her, in fact I paid for her application fee with my card.
To cut the long story short, she was refused today with the reason below
You state that you are supported by your family and have no current income, I note that you submitted documents for your sponsors, I recognise that it is stated that your sponsor propose to bear the cost of the trip however I must take into account your personal economic and personal circumstances in nigeria when coming to my decision. On the basis of evidence provided you appear to have little source of personal income or asset in your country, in the light of all above, I consider that you have failed to show sufficient strong economic ties to satisfy me that on the balance of probability that you intend to leave the UK on the end of a short visit.
This to me is very annoying as I do not think they expect someone who has just finished NYSC and waiting to start a new job to have. Lot of income, is having a sponsor willing to carry everything not good enough, are her kids that she is leaving behind not enough.
I intend to send an email clarifying These assumptions but would really appreciate any help or insight on the right direction.
Thanks in advance Sincerely to me you submitted a good application for your sister even with the fact that she is married with 2 kids, just finished NYSC and has a job that starts in October(i believe you submitted enough doc to support this) but the ECO used his/her discretion to decide otherwise, its a 50/50 probability. Writing to them is a waste, if you feel you have strong points and documents against the highlighted points of refusal then re-apply and pray you will not be donating visa fee to them because they are in the business of chopping people's visa fee in the name of balance of probability. Best of Luck |

are you making an actual (unpaid) hotel reservation (which will be submitted with your application) or are you just quoting a random hotel rate? I have never used hotel in UK but i remember my cousin friend arriving from US and stayed in a hotel in Manchester for 25 Pounds so i guess London is higher |

iyaaliyah: Hello everybody, I have just been refused visa to the UK. Dunno what to say but I feel my application was misinterpreted or they did not read clearly. Please, I want you all to look at the reasons and critically dissect same. lollll
1. You stated in your application that you are employed as xxxxxxxxx with xxxxxxx and earn 90,000(289.03pds) per month. You have supplied an employment letter and payslips to support this.
NOTE: I only submitted letter of confirmation from my office and loan application to show the deduction from my account. I didn’t submit employment letter and payslips.
2. You state the cost of this visit to you personally as 1,555 GBP. As evidence of personal funds you have submitted bank statement from:
a. Xxxxxxxx bank for an account in your name with a balance of 367,231.85 (1,179.35). however, I note that there are large and irregular deposits entering the account in addition to your salary. For example between 05/05/2015 and 07/05/2015 (emphasis mine pls) these deposits amounted to N250,000. These deposits are inconsistent with the account history and your stated income.
the underlined: I can’t believe they will expect me not to run my account even as far back as MAY.
b. Xxxxx Bank for an account in your name with a balance of 71,314.27. However, I note that the balance of this account has been significantly inflated by large deposits amounting prior to your application. E.g 820,000 on 11/5/2015, 70,000 on 15/06/15 and 100,000 0n 23/07/15. These deposits are inconsistent with the account history and your stated income.
NOTE: I stated in my application that my job is such that brings me extra income apart from my regular salary and this is paid into my account although it varies. did they not see this additional info?
NOTE again that I stated that my husband is my sponsor. We were both refused and the reasons are: 1. You stated in your application that you are self-employed and earn 300k per month. In support of this you have provided business registration documents, personal tax document and personal xxxxbank statements. However, the documents supplied do not support the xxxxx ltd is a currently trading and profitable organization generating the level of income stated above. From the information on your application form and document you have submitted, you have not shown that your employment and income is as stated.
QUESTION: Pls what does the bolded mean?
2. As evidence of funds you have submitted bank statement from xxxx bank for an account in your name with a balance of N5,432,127.26. However, the documents you have submitted do not sufficiently demonstrate the origin of the funds shown in the bank statements. i am therefore not satisfied that these statements are reliable evidence of your financial circumstances or ability to fund your proposed visit. NOTE: We planned to visit UK for 5 days from Paris next month and we submitted evidence of accommodation; hotel we booked for the 5days which included free breakfast.
Please, help me check them out. I don’t intend to apply soon but my husband’s friend said we should write a letter to correct some of these issues. What do you ple think please.
this is the second time i will be refused. the last was in 2012. reason is that i did not submit my proof of earning. i submitted now and also stated there in the application to clarify why i did not submit it.
Thank you.
cc: Justwise, Vicjustic, OGreene, Iblaw .pls, make una tell me which way. thanks As always, i feel so sad to hear about refusals here but need little clarification. 1. Is N90,000 your actual salary or salary after loan deduction cos refusal letter states you earn N90,000, whats on your payslip? 2. You state the cost of this visit to you personally as 1,555 GBP Why, when you said you stated your husband is your sponsor. There is a part of the form that ask if anyone is paying for part of your trip and that's where you should have stated YES...Husband 3. They are not expecting you not to run your account but frown at any huge deposit that's not in line with your earnings unless you have documented evidence/reason for deposit. This is because over time they discover people lodge money in their account for visa application. Did you prove any documents for the extra income you earn? 4. What kind of business is your husband's company into cos the bolded as you asked means the ECO is not satisfied that the company is profitable enough to pay your husband 300k and have such an account balance. |

Kuwaitboy: Hi justwise and other gurus in the house. Thanks for everything. I just got my visa. Please, I am looking for an Abuja to Glasgow flight, and the cheapest I saw is emirates, but it is 22 hours via Dubai. British airways is the shortest but is more expensive. Please, is Emirates going to be very stressful, or should I just choose it. Please I really need urgent answers from those that have experience with Emirates and British airways. If you cant afford BA then go with Emirates, the 22 hours is not the main thing but how many hours are you going to spend on transit in Dubai waiting to connect your next flight to Glasgow. Abuja to Dubai and Dubai to Glasgow will both take like 14 hours so i guess you have 8 hours transit in Dubai. |
