Sunny4Gold: I need help in filing out UK visa application.
Question: do u have savings, properties or other income? I clicked YES
Now they said enter details of total monthly income from savings, properties or other income.
Are they asking for my monthly salary or my savings account interest They are referring to other income apart from your salary so if you say YES provide details eg House rent, income from business centre, car hire services etc |

dapsycole: House I got this mail for my wife n daughter's application. Yesterday makes two weeks they applied (VI centre) please what could be the cause of delay? @ justwise ogreene iblaw and other gurus. For:xx xx xx xx xx
Thank you for applying for a UK visa. Your visa application has been received and is under consideration. We aim to process non settlement applications within 15 working days (unless you have opted for the Priority Visa service), and settlement applications within 60 working days.
Unfortunately, the processing of your application has not been straightforward and we will be unable to decide your application within our customer service targets. We are continuing to work on your application and aim to make a decision as soon as possible.
We will write to you again if there is any change to this. Please do not attend the Visa Application Centre until you have been advised that your application has been decided and that your passport is ready for collection.
Kind Regards, The delay is from their end and no one can say whats happening but just be patient and hope for the best. My first Uk Visa application took 7 weeks. |

Boldruby: Praise the lord! I got my 6 months visa today after being refused last month. Thanks to everyone in this forum who have contributed one way or the other. I took my time and read from the first page of this thread to avoid asking unnecessary questions and it really paid off. I can actually pass for a visa agent with the wealth of knowledge I gained here. *wink*
Special Thanks to Justwise for taking your time to answer questions here patiently. May God bless you immeasurably. I really learnt a lot. Thanks to Iblaw for responding to my enquiry. Would also like to acknowledge 3sha4lyf for the wonderful format for cover letter to the ECO. #Godwin Congrats!!! |

Got a quote yesterday for 255k KLM.
Which airline did you use?
Travelling date is 21-24
But I plan to spend one week, but since I filled 21-24 on the application form for a three days visit, don't want POE troubles, might just pay extra $100 to extend arrival to 27th once I get in. What do you think? Once again, check this out http://www.dealdey.com/deals/return-tickets-to-the-uk-usaI remember calling for details and was told they can do even Manchester for 160k but i already bought my ticket. As at today, 43 people have subscribed for this and it ends in 2 days time. |

FrontPageLawyer: Thanks Ogreene. Will check out virgin
@Prof Justwise. Is it permissible at POE if I book ticket for 21-27 as against what I filled in application which is 21-24. Hope I won't face questions at POE otherwise will just leave it at 51-24. Thanks chair I dont think this should be an issue at POE. I stated in my application i want to travel in August, got my visa and plans changed, i am travelling this September in fact i stated in my application i will fly into London then go to Manchester but now i am flying into Manchester straight. I no fear anybody for POE, if asked any question i will say the truth, shikena. So @FrontPageLawyer take your time and enjoy your stay if need be beyond the 3 days you stated in your visa application, the main thing is dont stay too long beyond a normal business/vacation trip and never overstay the validity of your visa. And most likely 24th and 25th Sept will be Sallah holiday. |

He is the one who is applying alone, he has US visit visa, visited USA just once He is only visiting UK for Xmas while me and my kids stays back in naija Pls can he use such above statement of account to apply for the visit UK visa ? Thanks Does he not have any other account that is funded? If no, then how come he earns 417k in a month and not have savings? Missdodo: 30 working days? na to find work for ya company o.
Like the guru's have said, it's better you wait a bit before re applying. is it possible for your company to pay by transfer whether or not your are on site? the consistency would help. in the interim, do a visa and visit Dubai, dont waste 30 working days o. Cheer up and stay positive, every disappointment is a blessing one way or the other. Good idea, go to Dubai during this your long holiday but i suggest you cut it short and return to work so you have leftover Leave days. A Travel Agent friend has a Dubai trip promo for 250k...hotel,flight,visa & airport pick up. He handled my Dubai trip last year in case you interested. |

Vuitton007: *clears throat*
Good morng fam. its been quite stime i dropped any comment but i read up almost all the time.
And actually, i shall be renewing 5yrs UK visa soon but i read up sthg recently which worries me. its the cash crediting of salary.
Nthg is likely goin to chnge in my approachin 5yrs application compared to d docs of d 2yrs visa, i still work same place, though there is a salary review and a letter of promotion to dat effect jus like d 2yrs too wen my salary was reviewed as a result of promotion, but my statement usually shows, cash deposited by xyz company (xyz month salary)
So having read sthg lately abt cash credits, i thot to ask abt my case.
Please help a member, like i said, i will have a copy of my employment letter in my application, intro letter stating my designation, annual pay and leave approval dates as usual, promotion letter dated to wen i received it, payslips, my ID, bank statement, invite lettter, her ID and British pp datapage.
my travel history is uk, america, expired un-used french visa, gambia, rwanda and ghana.... all holiday trips.
Please advice, my 3 questions are as follows: - the concerns i raised as regards the cash deposits salary entries from my company to my salary account - how many months bank statement is required, am hearing its reduced to 3, used to be 6months - then whole process of applying, i hear thgs have chnged slightly in the last one yr, i wud like a breakdown of how to go abt it.
tnx in anticipation. My suggestion: 1. Ask your company Finance dept to write a letter stating why your salary is paid into your account as cash deposit 2. 6 months statement is required 3. You can get started with this link and follow this thread daily to learn more. https://www.visa4uk.fco.gov.uk/home/welcome |

FrontPageLawyer: My brother, I understand your plight, especially when you think you are over qualified and will definitely return back to your work and family after the visit.
I submitted 27th August, four days before you did and no response yet.
@Askari01, Truly I personally don’t feel comfortable with your company paying your salary in cash.
I have a company (Small Business Owner) and I can tell you even the peanut paid to the company’s reception is drawn directly from the company's account to her own personal account and is described as I.e. (January 2015 Salary)
You shot yourself in the leg in your case, because while the VO is evaluating/accessing your company, so many factors are considered. No serious company will pay Monthly salary of 200k in cash.
Though I am yet to get my visa, but I have learnt a lot from Nairaland Travel Section the major reason why applicants are refused visa which is based on finances, no doubt.
Lesson: If you are a first time applicant, or you’re yet to get positive result, please avoid using statement of account that has unexplainable deposit.
If you have a transfer of say 2M which cannot be explained, please wait until after 6 Months when it will not reflect in your statement of account because yon won't be there to defend those lump sum when the VO is accessing your application.
As a business owner, ensure your Monthly wages/Salary is paid at every month into your personal bank account drawn from the company’s account. You can instruct your bank to describe the transfer as I.e. (January 2015 Salary) This will reflect in your statement of account and be visible to the VO.
Chances are that you will be granted a UK visa without hassle if your statement of account is unquestionable and looks great So sad but i remember saying then that the best thing was to wait till when the N1.8m will not reflect in the statement of account |

mosopefoluwa: Hello All,
Please I need advice on a slight issue.
Myself my husband and baby intended applying for a visit visa. My uncle has written an invitration letter for the three of us and sent it down but my husband will be unable to travel at that time. My confusion now is that the invitation letter is for three of us and since he wont be travelling, does he still need to apply? Hope we wont be denied on the premise that the letter is for three people, why is the third person not applying...
please help... no money to waste on application o. Thanks fam Why not just ask your uncle to write another IV Letter for you and baby or let your hubby still apply if he cant travel with you and baby he can travel later before the visa expires. You decide, either way but i suggest you get another IV Letter if hubby is not applying. |

belloluddy: I really appreciate u. My husband earns 417k monthly while I earn 160k, but u know, we spend as we earn, we live in our own personal duplex and we have 2 exotic cars. Currently, my husband have around 300k in his account but once he earns his next salary and mine too, it will go over a million. However, we budgeted 600k for flight which we already know Do u suggest my husband should apply first for the visa since his account statement is not buoyant for now with just 300k in his account while myself and the kids apply later? Thanks a lot I suggest you apply as a family but wait till you both have more fund in your account after salary is paid. Some people with low account balance get their visa based on how much they earn while others dont so lets not give the ECO the opportunity of using low account balance against you. |

belloluddy: Thanks sir, for me and my hubby and 2 little kids. How much can we have in a bank account ? Pls like how much ? We intend staying with a friend, or will hotel be a better option ? Thanks alot How much you should have depends on what your expenses will be so do an estimate for flight, if staying in hotel then cost of hotel, and personal expenses like feeding etc. It will be good if you can stay with your friend(provide evidence of long time relationship) and knock off hotel expense cos the lower your expense compared to your salary and account balance the better for you eg you have N1,000 in your account and you want to spend N600 for the trip, thats a no no but if you are spending like N200-250 for the trip that makes sense. Do an estimate and put it up for the analyst in the house to have a look and give you a go ahead. |

Our kids never visited the US but they also have their visas. They recently got the visas. We plan to spend the Xmas and new year in the UK as a family. I only have friends there in the UK. Will it be an easy ride for us to get a UK visas please ? Do you intend to stay with your friends or in an hotel? Either way you are good to go...your trip to the US gives you a good travel history but that does not mean automatic visa oo make sure your papers are right(explain huge cash deposits in your account etc. Uk look at your papers and you will not be there to explain unlike US that look at your face and the way you answer questions at the interview.
