The fvvk is Benadryl Cummerbund.... grin grin

It's a deliberate corruption of Benedict Cumberbatch's name for comic relief.
It's a running gag.

It include the following... 9 feature films, 2 documentaries and Avatar 3, 4 and 5.

The extra Joe Russo film is a Netflix film, hence, the '0' gross.

It makes more sense now.

A contender for Best motion picture of year, surely

Spielberg is the greatest of all time filmmaker, you can't convince me otherwise.

There are discrepancies in that list.

According to wikipedia, Cameron has directed 9 films, so I don't know why they added an extra 5 to his films, unless they included documentaries and films he served as EP.

Why do the Russos have the same box office gross when Joe Russo has one extra film?

We'll see how it goes.
Which 2023 movie do you predict would hit a billion?

Honestly, I dunno.
Family oriented ones like Mario Bros might do fairly well.
The critical successful ones like Oppenheimer and Dune 2 will polarize the audience so don't expect them to light the box office on fire.
I'm predicting a lot of flops.
Oppenheimer and Barbie will open on the same day for instance.
That should give you a taste of the bloodbath that will flow this year.

I was right about Wakanda Forever's streaming date.
People were saying 23 January but I went straight to their website and got the correct date from the horse's mouth.

Forget post COVID excuse, Avatar might make 3bn before July.

Nah it doesn't work like that.
It won't gross beyond 2.5bn.
At best, it will gross 2.2bn, at worst 1.9bn.

I agree Fast X won't as much as other recent Fast and Furious movies, but I still believe it will perform better (financially) than Mario and Ballad

a F&F film is a guaranteed box office success esp with China in play.
But don't sleep on Mario Bros,
It has huge following and the success of the games proves that.
It wouldn't surprise me if it becomes one of the highest grossing films of the year.

As for Hunger Games prequel, WOM will decide if it has legs or not.

I've been hearing good things about the old Salem's Lot. I might watch it before this reboot.
This year has a pack of rebooted horror movies as against last year's loads of originals.

I never really gave Megan a chance. And I refused to check the trailer sef thinking it's a cheap Chucky knock-off. I might just check it out cos of the reviews.

Anyways, WB is set to win big in the horror genre this year. They've got three with Nun 2, Evil Dead Rise and Salem's Lot. All IPs.
I feel WB not releasing a single horror movie last year heavily affected their revenue base. They could have easily cashed out from last year's largesse.

Forget the movies, they're all poor adaptations.
Just read the novel, it's so much better.
I've a feeling they will get it right this time.

Nothing wrong with reboot as long as you do it right.
Commercially, reboot is a safer bet than original ideas due to the fact that a fanbase has already been established.

Who you rooting for in the horror genre this year.
It's quite funny not seeing The Nun 2 here.
No Evil Dead Rise sef.
It's a top 5 list,
Evil Dead Rise is definitely in the top 10.

M3gan is currently getting rave reviews so it's an early contender.
My most anticipated are Evil Dead Rise, The Exorcist, and Salem Lot.
If Salem Lot is adapted close to the source, could be one of the scariest horrors of the year.

No Dune 2, Oppenheimer, The Flash, Fast X and yet I'm seeing Songs of Ballad and Super Mario. WTF
The only exclusions I'll fault there are Dune 2 and Oppenheimer although I could see how fans wouldn't be very keen on seeing them.
F&F franchise is on its last legs.
Save for a few diehard DC fans, no ones gives a shit about The Flash....the allegations trailing Ezra doesn't help matters either.

I want to confirm is it's originally an Oraimo product? And if yes, please how's the sound quality?

It's on Oraimo Kenya.

That's definitely the logical outlook. But grieving people are rarely logical. And people who lose someone untimely often look for a target to blame. The parents just lost a young son and are most likely looking for a channel for their anger. They can't fight the car, it's inanimate. Next best target: the people who made the car.

Couldn't have said it better.

In saner climes where the law actually works, "Wrongful Death claim" is a thing and it's very common. If for anything, it isn't seen as "opportunistic" rather it offers some sort of closure to the deceased family with a monetary claim as a side bonus. I didn't think in this case, if the car company wasn't liable in some way that the parents would have won the case. I have seen a docu where companies review their "wrongful death suites" and use it to correct what went wrong and ultimately improving their services going forward. If the law actually works in this clime, many hospitals would have since been out of business with the suites they will be facing daily.

Chrysler was in a lose-lose situation.
Public perception wasn't in their favor.
The public wanted a scapegoat and logic be damned.
Chrysler didn't want want to risk a trial.
They could go to trial and drag this out for years but their stocks would plummet.
So in the end, the best course of action was quietly settling out of court.
Win-win for everyone.

Well, can't really feel worse about that seeing as he didn't have any apparent problems with his parents. It's cold comfort.

I guess but it kinda does look opportunistic.
It's no one's fault but pure bad luck that the SUV had a mechanical failure,
Suing a car company isn't gonna bring your son back from the dead.
But sure being a few millions richer will make your grief more bearable.

Well, there goes the hopeful part. This is now going to fück with my head even more.

Here is one more tidbit to make you feel worse....
His parents sued the car company for wrongful death and got a substantiate sum out of it.
So basically, he died, his parents cashed out.

Reading about Yelchin's death, I just hoped he died or at least was unconscious from impact. Cos being pinned between your car and wall, unable to call for help and just waiting for your death by the minute is a thought that fücks with me every time I remember the lad's death.

He died from blunt traumatic asphyxia.
Which is just a fancy way of saying he suffocated painfully and slowly.
Imagine gasping for air but coming up empty because something heavy is crushing into your chest, blocking your air path in the process, and there's absolutely nothing you can do about it.
It's a very painful, torturous and hopeless experience, I would imagine.
It's a horrible way to go.

Not really.

Man got ran over by the a snow plough the size of a truck. Suffered a blunt chest trauma and mangled leg. He's in stable but critical condition. In layman's terms, his vitals are stable but not necessarily in good condition. A damage is done that may not be reversible or could worsen at any moment and lead to paralysis or worse... death.

The Snow Cat having a track wheel didn't help.
Read if it wasn't for his Doctor neighbor who applied a tourniquet to his messed up leg, he'd have died in the snow.

This incident reminds me of Anton Yelchin who died in similar circumstance.
Unfortunately for Anton Yelchin, there was no one to help him, so he died alone.
Sad way to cloak.

"Dark" was an unexpected gem. It turned out to be one of Netflix's best show both critically and commercially. I guessed with that hype, that's why they gave the riens to the creators to produce that same magic, unfortunately the reviews were too mixed to move further with the project, Netflix has been bleeding financially recently so they are carefully make making sound financial decisions now.

Anyways, I have already copped it based on the rep of the creators off the hype of "Dark", so i might as well just see it.

Nah...this is Netflix just being their usual shitty decision making self.
Netflix has, and will, cancel any show that is good enough to warrant a larger budget but isn’t popular enough to set the world on fire.
They cancel good stuff and crank out garbage.
I mean look at what they did to "American Vandal."
Meanwhile shows like "Emily in Paris" are on their 3rd season.
It's getting to a point where it's wiser to wait till a Netflix show has a season 2 or 3 before picking it up.

I'm tempted to watch 1899 all the same, but I don't like watching something that doesn't have viable conclusion.

I'm good at avoiding duds too but this one has good reviews and was from the creators of "Dark".

I wouldn't have. I enjoyed the disjointed story as told.

It's meant to be watched in any order you prefer as long as you watch "White" last.

"White" is the heist episode.
