LOL, the trailer woke something in me that that has been on hibernation for God knows how long. When Kypto appeared, I cried tears of joy. grin

From the trailer, it's apparent that Gunn is leaning heavily into the comic aspect of Superman, it shows that unlike Snyder, he clearly understands the character.

I loved how it's different from Snyder's version of Superman. Snyder portrayed him as a god, which goes against what superman stands for - a beacon of hope.

Gunn cooked here definitely. It'd be nice to watch a good Superman movie again.

Your master Snyder completely missed the ideal of Superman. It's not about being superior or inferior, rather it's about standing up against things moralistically and ethically. It's about being a symbol of hope, about housing an inherent belief in the goodness of mankind.

The role wasn't handed to Hoult on a silver platter, he earned it.

A lot of actors auditioned for the role of Lex Luthor, and Gunn giving it to Hoult would imply that his rendition impressed him the most, yes?

Fun fact, Hoult also auditioned for the Superman role, and while he impressed, Gunn gave him the LL role because he felt he'd be a better LL.

Zack Snyder is a hack who got lucky with 'Dawn of the Dead' and has been riding on that high since. Thank the stars WB fired him when they did for he would have done an irreparably damage to the Superman lore. Good riddance to bad rubbish.

Snyder fans are a curious bunch. I often wonder what they see in that hack that warrants such hardcore loyalty?

I got it used...I have been using for about 2-3 months

and yes I have a battery charging limiter set @95% but that only works if the phone is on... and yesterday was the first time since I got the phone that it died due to low battery

light usage takes me up to a day, if not more than

watching movies/tutorials it takes me up to 18hrs or more....it is only movies not series I watch to the end...tutorials is more like 45mins to 1hr sessions 3-4 times a day

playing games isn't for extended periods too and most of the games I play are not as tasking as newer titles...

I average 7-12hrs of screen time with and I have ~30% of battery time left...most times it is above 30% left

Since you got it used, the battery is obviously no longer at full capacity, hence the faster charging but even a LG V60 battery at 80% health will have a better SoT on average than most phones' battery running at 95-100% nowadays. You made mention at an earlier post that your V60 is rooted, so it could also be a factor, as a rooted phone unlocks and gives you complete access to your phone CPU & GPU. The SoC, SD865 is one of the most power and performance efficient SoC ever made till date, so by rooting your phone you had exponentially enhanced its performance.

You've a machine on your hands. Enjoy.

as for the charging, I tried it yesterday, mine took about 1hr 45mins (+/-5mins* from 0-100 on fast charging, phone off...the phone went off at 1%...USB-A to USB-C cable but I am using an essager charger from jboixxx...

How long have you used your phone 'cause a LG V60 battery close to full factory capacity takes 2hrs+ or more to fully charge on a fast charger using Type A to type c USB.

A slightly degraded battery will naturally take less time to fully recharge.

To prolong your battery health, I'd advice you to avoid charging from 0-100, always endeavour to stop at 85-95.

Also, don't allow your battery to discharge below 15. Endeavour to switch off your phone at 20% if you are unable to charge it at that point in time.

Last but not the least, don't use your phone while it's charging.

Not unique to lgv60. Naija 5G altogether is a facade.

That's due to the fact that the Nigerian 5G is based on the existing 4G structure, thus slower than a pure 5G but even so, the speed is dependent on location.

A person staying near a network mast will clock a higher Mbps on 4G than a person on 5G that lives in a remote location.

Samsung 5G enabled phones launched from 2020 till date (S, A, & Z series), Xiaomi 5G enabled phones, Oneplus from series 8 to current, Tecno 5G enabled phones, Iphone from iphone 12 to current.

I got 5G on my phone tho. It was there briefly late 2023 and then it disappeared and all I was getting was 4g. The 5G signal is back on my phone tho; reappeared yesterday.

Not a real 5G, FYI. LG v60 doesn't have the required 5G bands needed to host 5G in Nigeria, thus it'd be impossible to host 5G on unsupported 5G frequencies.

Ping it and you'd see it's basically 4.5G /4G+.

Wireless that takes 3 to 6 hours to charge...

A 25w samsung wireless charger will take you from 0-100 in a little over 2hrs. Considering the fact that the battery life is phenomenal, it's worth it.

It ultimately boils down to how you use it, plus the phone supports magnetic charging, so you can always use that option.

USBC To TypeC will take appr 2hrs to fully charge, while USBA to TypeC will take appr 3hrs to fully charge.

I remember reading from somewhere that his films since "The Sixth Sense" had turn a profit, so it kinda make sense that WB would wanna tap into this.
Say what you'll about M. Night Shyamalan but the man knows his audience.

I like how he funds his own movies so he probably would have ended up funding "Trap" himself anyway.

A Knock at the Cabin (2023).....6.5

Deviates greatly from the source material which I kinda resent cos the deviation voided the plot twist which in turn diluted the climax considerably.
What's the point of a psychological horror if there are no plot twists??
I enjoyed the acting nonetheless even if the simple plot was a tad too predictable.
