The grade is the difference.

Dangote is Grade 42.5N for concrete, Block setting and Block production, their 32.5N basically for plastering is not available in market.

Lafarge Cement Classic 32.5N & Supaset 32.5R both good for all construction work. Lafarge SuperMax 42.5R is not popular in circulation

Note R=Rapid(Fast Dryness) N=Normal these represent curing system

In building construction Rapid curing are use for large volume job.
R is not good for plastering it at the end result cracking or type of sand used.

The Federal Government has declared that foreign professionals will no longer be engaged in the execution of projects involving national security. The Minister of Power, Works and Housing, Mr. Babatunde Raji Fashola, made the announcement in Abuja yesterday, when he declared open the 2019 Architects Colloquium organised by the Architects Registration Council of Nigeria (ARCON).

Fashola who was represented by the Head of Power Public Private Partnership, Ministry of Power, Mrs Eucharia Alozie, said that government was now placing premium on the use of indigenous professionals and firms to execute projects where national security is at stake. He said foreign experts will only be engaged when their Nigerian counterparts are not available, adding even at that, Nigerian professionals will be assigned to understudy them.

Fashola who decried the spate of collapsed buildings in the country as national embarrassment, tasked architects to lead the debate and give guidance to government at all levels for the best way forward for the housing and built industry.

He tasked ARCON to tutor its members to design houses in line with the cultural and religious sentiments of Nigerians and reflect the changing contemporary social and technical climates in the designs. The minister also disclosed that government is earnestly awaiting the implementation of ARCON concept to tag projects with registration numbers while also calling on town planning authority to insist on the seal of a licensed architect before approving any project drawing.

i am a graduate of the university and during my time more than 4 lecturers took that course

dont be savage bros. what do u want the lecturer to do after wasting all his time and effort trying to teach them now ur are saying he should have set cheap questions? then why are they in university if they aren't ready to learn? and beside most of these carry over students dont even attend lectures and yet u expect the lecturer to do some miracles and make them pass

Instead of putting all the blames on the department and lecturers, we should also ask questions about the quality of students that wrote the exam.

from their registration number all the students are carry over students and the exam was CBT, it was marked by the computer. so i dont think its the lecturer's fault

Are they now saying the non Muslims girls and their parents who kept quite and wore that hijab are fools? It's high time we get things straight in this country.

No, to be sincere you can't get architecture with this result. Jamb combination for architecture: mathematics, physics, English and any of chemistry, economic, fine art, geography, biology depending on your school of choice
