Cross River State Governor Liyel Imoke on Wednesday announced cash donation of N25m to players and coaches of the Super Eagles of Nigeria and N5m for the Nigerian Football Federation. Imoke made the donation in the Executive chambers, Government House in Calabar while receiving the 2013 AFCON trophy won by the team in South Africa. He also announced that the state government would give a plot of land to each member of the in choice area of Calabar metropolis. According to him, Certificate of Occupancy will be given to the players as soon as possible and enjoined them to develop the plots quickly to begin to enjoy the serene atmosphere in the city. “This gesture is to show our appreciation for your hard work, commitment, and dedication to your fatherland. You can always count on us for support,” he said. He said that the victory of the team in South Africa was a great lesson to all Nigerians, adding that when nobody gave them a chance, they braved all odds. The Federal Ministry of Education has refuted reports that President Goodluck Jonathan has mad U-turn on the change of name of University of Lagos after late Moshood Abiola. Patuwa: By the Grace of God, I am a prospective 13A corp. When I was in school, UNIBEN, my mother gives us N2000 alawee for two of us to feed for two weeks. I can even save the complete N19500 alawee and depend on state allawee with extra change to spend for flexing.1. Did u ve call up no yet? 2. Players and officials of the victorious super eagles are still reaping the rewards of winning the Nigeria's third AFCON trophy as the Gov. Emmanuel Uduaghan of Delta State took his turn to shower gifts on them. Uduaghan named Asaba Stadium after coach Stephen Keshi who is an indigene of the state. He was also given cash of #8M, in addition to a duplex in Asaba. At the event, held at the Asaba international event center, Keshi's assistants, Daniel Amocachi, Silvanus Okpalla and Ike Shorounmu got #4M each while each player got #2.5M each. Dear NLs, permit me to congratulate the SEs of nigeria once again for booking a place in the semi's by edging out the highly rated Elephants of CIV. But, to my amazement, the scorer of the match decider (Mba) fails to celebrate at a time when all eyez was on him. Moses that was very close to him was even prepared to chase him but, he just chose to remain on d spot. Was he shocked or was he too excited to remember to jubilate or what? |

A friend receive an SMS from the management of FC-WAMPCO (makers of peak milk) yesterday. The message was like a result/ response to the apptitude test that was conducted at premier hotel, around august, last year. According to the message, ''congrats. You scored 37% in our test, our cutoff mark is 60%. We wish u gud luck in your future endeavours''. But, my problem now is that I didn't even receive any msg and I did the test. Any useful info? |

Cos, to d best of ma knowledge, camp opens for Borno, Yobe prospective corps membas (Otondos) by 28th of Nov. And if I'm not mistaken, it is written conspicuously at d bak of ur call up letter dat d camp opens for a period of 48 hrs (2 days) and u r planning to go on sunday. Probably u saw a press release da extend d time. SMH!. Dat means by 11 : 59 pm on 30th Nov, if u are not at d camp gate, u are wrong. Double up! |

Tmany: it worked for a friend of my posted to kaduna got redeploy to ondo told them a close family member was killed during the last crisis.You'll be redeployed automatically, once u apply. I got redeployed from Kaduna to Ekiti, though I chose OYO, based on security reason, bsides we were later grouped under health. Meanwhile, 98 % of corps members with marital and and health cases were relocated to their state of choices. Meanwhile, I noticed dat corps membas da chose Lag got Ogun, Ogun got Oyo, in dat order. But for insecurity, u can b thrown like a stone, but most likely within d same geo political zone of ur choice state. Better still, use d 1st 2 days to know d officer in charge of relocation. Try to beg and don't attempt bribe as money is not everyfin (just shine your eye). Delay could be very dangerous. All da best. Back to d war of good PPA. |

One guy granted interview to d press which nearly caused chaosk in camp. And he was subsequently arraigned in d camp court. Social night: on point! Inter platoon futball competition winner: platoon 6(Chelsea),Runner up: Platoon 1(Bayern). Volley ball winner: platoon 10. Allawee: bygone! Relocation list: loading.....can't wait for d list. One Herb seller, popularly referred to as 'Baba Ijebu' here in KADUNA camp slept in d guard room after been beaten mercilessly by d camp commandant with other soldiers. He was said to ve been peeping in female hostels at night. Though, speculation have it that, he was hugging female corper freelly, while some said he attempted to rape. Reports have it that d guy's head rolled, blood spills. Issshhh! A lady reported to d camp PRO dat she couldn't found her 15k in her bag. Female iostel nooni! Wao! Sanitation and cooking in d same day. They wouldn't kill platoon 6. Na kitchen sure pass. Freestyle tins. |

Am kinda confused here, cos when d NYSC DG was around, he presented envelopes to the CULTULRAL DANCERS, QUARTER GUARDS, BANDS AND MAN O' WAR. And he confirmed KADUNA camp is d b**t camp he has ever visited. Now my confusion is dat, is dat not what he would tell other camps he visited? Kanoites shu confirm that or any memba of other camps he visited. Meanwhile, the camp PRO comfirmed dat bad conducts started in female hostel, as a BB was reported missing. They also throw 'sh*t put' a lot, lolz........ |

Orpelin: things just dey get shape for kano camp since yesterday whn light was on for just few hrs after d swearing-in. we are expecting the NYSC DG in person now to address us on d need nt 2 relocate from kano and other sundry issues #i guess so#Imagine, nairaland don reveal d secret. These pple would think they are smart. The camp director told us the same, that d DG was being expected about d same. We r still waiting for him til now. Generally, am enjoying d camp experience cos am used to it, as an hostelite and INEC boy. Just got ma allawee. KD on pt. Re-deployment not negotiable. |
