1) Holding a bible shows one to be a Christian in public,it acts as an 'identity card' for every Christian. Ipads,smartphones does no such thing

nonsence reasoning. Your christianity is your personality and not in a paper.

2)Civilisation/technology has given us world where homosexuality is gradually being accepted,female reverends and gender changes all in contrast to biblical pronouncements. The church shouldn't follow the ways of this present world so closely

please stop using anything technological, please go back to using wood to cook and not gas as gay men use gas. Discrimination of the highest order

3)Christians lose the essence of the bible like the order of biblical books(after genesis is exodus.....3rd John then revelations) as a simple google search provides answer in comparison to scrolling round the bible and get fully acquitted with it

of what use is this to you. Does it make you more christian than Bleep. The list of content will show you that as well

4) Ipads,smartphone substitutes acts as sources of distraction in churches with calls,pings,alerts and 'nairalanding' available at one's beck/call.

Noise, girls so many things can distract you.

5) Ipads,smartphones serve one primary aim to most holders,showoff

so is your paper bible. It is used to show off that you are a 'christian'

If i may ask, if tradition forbids visiting, does it forbids calling too?? That is the least he could have done, right??

if there's a washing machine, no problem. otherwise it's very unlikely that i would (except when he is sick or so), not because i think it's disgusting but because handwashing is my worst chore ever. so if i had to handwash all my clothes, i wouldn't want to help anyone wash even the tiniest piece of clothing.

the main issue here IMO is the guy ordering his girlfriend to do his personal chores weekly. that's one thing i can't stand, i hate it when guys act like their girls' kind acts are obligations. i feel it's very demeaning and ungrateful. for something like washing clothes (undies in particular), he shouldn't even ask me nicely cos it's not something i enjoy doing ever, even for myself. i would rather offer my help than have a guy solicit for it in such a situation.
