Razzness: Religious people and superstition are 5 and 6. This is a natural disaster it can happen anywhere. The fact that the Israeli government is evil doesn't mean people should be happy when this kind of disaster strikes a population, because it is mostly innocent civilians that will be affected. You are right, it's a natural disaster not spiritual in any form. And that does not change the fact that Israel does not have the right to exist if it does not want the Palestinians to exist. |

AMINDA: 9 million dollars for 6 months with a renewal clause for an additional 6 months. This government is more concerned with optics than result. Offering appointments to clerics and genocide amplifiers, paying and negotiating with bandits in so-called peace deals, etc. Anything to gain temporary reprieve in order to win re-election. Disgraceful! It's not disgraceful, AIPAC is lobbying the American lawmakers and executives too with millions of dollars. That's why US keep funding Israeli defense budgets and gives support to anything Israel does. If Israel levels the whole of SE now including your village, America will say, Israel has the right to defend itself against you. So, if you support AIPAC and Jewish lobby, you should not see anything wrong in supporting this FG lobby. |

Obiedun: Iran could have minded it's own business. Developing the economy and not acquiring ammunitions. Building it's people instead of building proxy here and there. The proxies are no useless. It's ⁰islamic and Arabic neighbors are not ready to do anything But who are you do decide what Iran will do? If everyone is minding their business, there won't be so much crisis and insecurities in the world. |

vicshub: Great. Why will I continue to fund what is no longer serving my interest. Trump is not a politician that all they know it throw money away that has no strategic value, he is a business man. There must be value for every penny. It's the same reason some lazy Nigerians will say rich men are stingy! No they are are not, they just want value for money. I hope our politicians learn from this. Good morning everyone TGIF... What is your American interest? Murdering women and children in Palestine, displacing people from their homes in the West Bank to create and solidify the illegal state of Isreal? The Invasion and murder of Libya's Gaddafi? The bombing of Irans nuclear sites, the murder of Irans top military leaders, the ongoing US sponsored riots in Iran? Trade tariffs on China, Europe etc.... Global Peace and security supercedes US national interest especially when such mundane or erratic interest threatens the international peace and security of the world. I pray this crazy Trump does not put us through a 3rd world war. |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Iran Protests: Buildings Burnt In Tehran (video) by Idaytesj29(m): 9:05am On Jan 09 |
nairalanda1: I am not supporting usa, or russia, but I always wince when I see this explanation, not because it may be true (see CIA's plots in Iran and chile for example )...but because it makes the people of the country lack agency...that they cannot do anything without the interference of some outside power....which in a way is racist (the people who propagate these ideas are origninally whites...who act as if black and brown people can't plan anything by themselves)
It also neglects things like the economy. Iran is a oil dependent nation. For its budget to make sense, oil has to be above 125 dollars per barrel...which is no longer possible, because everyone has been developing oil. The cause of the current problem is increase in food prices due to a devaluation of the currency, brought about by a reduction in forex inflows because...oil prices are too low to sustain Iran's budget. Iran has been, like many oil nations, struggling for years. And it doesn't help that there are subsides on things like food (something Nigeria abandoned in the 1980's.).
Not everything is CIA, KGB or whatever. People too have a mind of their own. French revolution of 1789 didn;t happen because of some CIA complot (CIA wasn't around then)..so it is reasonable to believe that the CIA may not be involved this time.
Besides, if Iran had fixed its dependency on oil, invested in technology, and scientific development,(they do do that..thanks to sanctions)...and developed an economy based on innovation and technonlogy solely (like the Chinese did) by now, nothing would be happening. Chinese people are too busy benefiting frm the benefit of their government developing an industrialized nation to bother protesting . While your analysis is correct and these conditions are there 5 years ago, why didn't this revolution happen that same 5 years ago? Why after Israel Iran war? This is US sponsored revolution. You can't absolved your beloved Mossad and CIA of this. Don't waste your words. It looks like it, it feels like it, it walks and and talks like it, my brother it is it. The it is USA CIA and Mossad. Thank you |
