As a recent high school or secondary school graduate in 2020, do I need to write an SOP or LOE for my study permit?
And hope it's not a problem as I have some study gap from 2020 until now? |

@MarksmanD @JMG12 @Lekiboboe,@Zubizareta, @Bobomaigida
I have a question house. Hope it is not a red flag if two siblings are applying to the same college and they're both sponsored by another Sibling, hope this is not a problem?
i.e two brothers sponsored by their elder sister applying to the same school. Should there be a time between when they submit their applications and can the other submit after the first is approved?
Please advice |

bullstriker: You must go for an MSc if you are married and intend for your spouse to join you on a work permit. Just like @ Bobomaigida mentioned, cheap is relative. Can you consider a 1-year MSc business program that costs 26K? It is more affordable than a two-year masters, and you will be eligible for 3 yr PGWP. Also, IBU MBA costs 17/yr, but theirs is a 2-year program.
Master of Management Providence University, Winnipeg $16,775.00 CAD/yr Application fee $102.50 CAD
Master of Management Crandall University New Brunswick $26,000.00 CAD
MBA International Business University Toronto $17,850.00 CAD
I can help you apply to these schools and others. Service is free Bro, check your email. I’m interested in applying to these universities. Are all the cheaper masters 2 years? |

2) are there other forms of investment I can use to demonstrate I have the financials at my disposal apart from CIBC gic ? |

JustMellow: Hello Ide2012,
It is insufficient. Amount up to your first year LE is better. If possible, try as much that the total received sum doesn't make up a large portion of your sitting bank balance. It's dire to explain and provide supporting documentation for any lump sum.
You too will testify! thank you |

Thank you so much! It seems they don't give US visa's anymore. Fyi the Visa was refused for the third time NewBoyKhashoggi: Hey 🤠
Sorry this is coming late but i have answered this kind of question of recent . But for the benefit of others ....
1. The next thing you are supposed to do is to fill another DS 160 so that your new Travel Passport number would be indicated in the new DS 160.
2. After that, login into your CGI profile and click on update profile , input the new DS 160 number as well as your new Passport number and click save.
3. Log back into your CGI page after 48 hrs to print out another Visa Appointment letter . The appointment letter would have auto-update itself which will display your new passport number as well as your new DS 160 number .
PS: The above is what you are supposed to do naturally . But if there is no time then call the CGI help line .
Best Wishes 🙏 @Ajalalomo. Fyi |

Johnbosco1: Finally, Nairaland is back.
PPR dn drop, finally guys! It dropped 30 minutes after my deferral request to was approved. 😂
Timeline: Submitted application on October 18 Upfront medicals and biometrics had earlier been captured in my 1st application (This is my second application) No update or progress whatsoever on my dashboard until Dec 18, when I received PPR. Till now, eligibility is still in progress as with background check. Lol
After I had done my findings, I came to the realization that there were number of things missing in my first application, and it had failed in a number of places so I decided to bring reinforcements on the second application.
First application was self-sponsored, and the refusal was due to insufficient funds even though 70% sch fees was paid, 10k GIC, and 5m for other small stuff.
I applied for gcsm note but didn't get any so I reapplied.
For the second application, here are the documents I submitted: 1. Passport Data Page 2. Affidavit of Return 3. Certificate of State of Origin 4. Police Character Certificate 5. Certificate of Birth 6. E-medical information Sheet (Upfront medicals) 7. Statement of Purpose 8. Academic/Professional resume 9. Letter of Introduction 10. Professional certifications 11. Property ownership (land and a car) 12. Full tuition confirmation receipt 13. 10k GIC certificate 14. Mybank statement 15. Pension Reg Certificate 16. Pension Statement 17. Contract Agreements 18. Employment Letters 18. Payslips 19. Tax Clearance certificate 20. Acceptance Letter 21. Nysc Certificate 22. Degree Cert 23. Statement of results 24. Students transcript 25. Waec cert and testimonial
I wanna thank y'all for your contributions on this platform, all of you! Y'all have such a great community. Didn't have to ask many questions because the questions were already asked and the answers provided accordingly, all I needed to do was to read through each page. What number of things was missing in your first application? can you elaborate and what's in your current documents that's not in your old one? |

Badadvisor: Hello bro greetings you have been of great help to me on this thread. I need to ask you a question, I was at the bank to make my gic deposit from my dollar Nigerian account to cibc but I was told that can't be done except i go through the form A process and with what i read online the form A can take a week or more before i receive it. And i was told i can't withdraw dollar and make a direct payment into the cibc account for my gic deposit that i need to make the payment from my dollar account with my name and other informations. Is there any other way i can go about the gic deposit faster? Fcmb is frustrating me that i can't make a direct deposit to cibc even if i buy dollar because if my visa is denied payment will only be refunded to the account the money was sent from. What can i do please and it seems like i can't make payment with a dollar debit card. Please help a brother I have less than a week deadline to make the payment How did you last last resolve this issue? |

Atalefromthepas: Good morning everyone! Greetings to the experts here. I've already paid approximately 19kCAD for my 1-year PGD program fees, set to commence in Sept 2024, using my savings earned from my job. Due to recent IRCC changes, I'm looking to have my sister, residing in the USA, deposit the required 20k+ into my bank account as proof of funds (POF). Could anyone please advise me on the specific documents I'll need from her to acquire my study visa? Thank you. Your sister could either send you that lump sum of money as gift deed and attach a letter explaining it or she could use the money to purchase a Gic in your name. Other guru’s can chime in here |

Btycoon: Please, house I need your help, I applied to 3 schools and I'm planning to apply to the 4th one for falls intake but out of the schools I received update from CIMT but I'm not going there bc of the PGWP they don't have and the next school which is Holland sent me an update with student number but no admission yet.
My questions are:
Is there hope that Holland would give me admission since they have sent me student number or I should proceed by applying to 4th school bc I don't want to miss falls intake for 2024.
I dont see people here talking about Holland, does it mean Holland isn't good enough or any issues I need to know please experts help me.
Thank you
@Frankrobbn1 and others Good questions- For Holland, if it’s DLI accredited school then you should be fine even if nobody is talking about it. If you’re a qualified candidate for admission you’ll definitely get it. If it doesn’t hurt your pocket or you want to be very sure you’ll get something nice for the Fall semester, in my humble opinion I’ll say apply to the 4th school.. you really never can tell. I hope this helps |
