My guy I tire. SMS charge of #4 for SMS informing you of ATM down times or even the one wishing you happy birthday. Banks are ripping us off. The monthly maintenance is the most annoying.

One of those months my SMS alert hit 500 bucks because I got used to buying recharge voucher with their USSD codes.

Union bank will charge me N52.5 for card maintenance every month and still send SMS to notify me of it, on a supposed saving account. I just cleared the account few days back. They should come to my house and collect it this month.

If you saw their profits last year, bank made billions from SMS alerts and all these yeye charges.

Lately, when I transfer money to someone to withdraw from me, I add extra 100-200 naira to cover the SMS alert charge and transaction charge that the person may incur
