BusinessHigh Naira Exchange Rate Worries Governors by IdJack(op): 2:06am On Jul 24, 2015
State governors have expressed worry over the high exchange rate of the naira to other foreign currencies.

They said this and other issues would be discussed with President Muhammadu Buhari in Abuja later on Thursday.

The concern about the naira exchange rate was one of the resolutions of the governors after their meeting in Abuja on Wednesday night.

The meeting, which ended in the early hours of Thursday, was attended by most of the governors.

The Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum, who is also the Governor of Zamafara State, Alhaji Abdullaziz Yari, read the communique of the meeting to journalists.

The naira is currently being exchanged for about 243 to the United States dollar at the parallel market.

Yari said, “We are going to discuss with Mr. President to seek lasting solutions to the worsening macroeconomic challenges confronting the nation, especially on foreign exchange stability.

“The forum pledges to work with Mr. President to ensure coherent policy actions that will create a clear policy direction for the country and stimulate domestic production.”

He also said that the forum discussed health issues and that the governors pledged to cooperate with the Federal Government to ensure that the National Health Act was implemented.

The NGF chairman added, “We agreed to collaborate with the Federal Government to ensure that the National Health Act is operational and the one per cent funding for primary health care is provided for in the budget.

“Sequel to the presentation made by the Country Representative of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, the forum agreed to aggressively support the total eradication of polio in the country.”

Yari denied insinuations that the money recently given to the states by the Federal Government was meant to bail them out of their financial crises.

Rather, he said what was shared was money from the Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas Company Limited and Federation Accounts Allocation Committee, which he said were legitimate EARNINGS of the three tiers of government.

The governor said, “It is also to inform our brothers in the media that the Federal Government has not given any bailout to any of the states. What had been shared last time was money from the NLNG and FAAC; and as we have been saying, we have not been looking for a bailout; instead, we have been looking for all the monies that are in the coffers of the federation, most especially we are talking about some of the monies that are hung around the coffers of government to be brought together for the purpose of sharing.

“The CBN governor raised some issues that taking the monies from those accounts, especially as our reserves are going down, will affect the exchange rate and also the naira will have pressure; so, they decided to make the naira available or its equivalent so that those can be taken as loans by the states for some of us complaining about the (inability to pay) salaries.

“Therefore, we are not taking any bailout from the Federal Government and the government has not given us any bailout yet. But we are talking on how best the intervention will happen so that we will be able to settle the issue of salaries and other operations of government in the country.”

PoliticsBuhari Entourage To USA, Waste Of Money by IdJack(op): 1:26pm On Jul 23, 2015
A friend sent this to my box and I feel i should share it with you and have your own opinion. According to him, he told me he copied it from his friend's Mfonobong Abel Ekene Facebook timeline.

Apart from going to America to take pictures with Obama, what else did Rochas Okorocha, Adams Oshiomole, Tanko Al-Makura, Abiola Ajimobi and some other guys on Buhari's entourage went there to do?

Rochas Okorocha was caught sleeping on Camera while an important meeting was going on!

Adams Oshiomole, who has now turned a model is busy taking pictures with some horrible pose up and down.. He manage to slip his new wife to the US... for what? i dont know.

Rotimi Amaechi has been off camera after they landed. Maybe he is somewhere in the street of America dancing shocki or making women hair... he wants to be weird every time.

From what i can perceive it seems the CBN Governor and few others are the only one who knows what they are doing over there

Imagine if president Buhari had gone with Dangote, Tony Elumelu, Udom Emanuel, Fayose, Fashola and others who know what it means to network and negotiate deals.

Was it a private visit?
And he went with 33 delegates?

RomanceRe: Annoying Places Broke And Stingy Guys Ask Ladies For Date by IdJack(m): 7:54pm On Jul 22, 2015
wristbangle:
Guys need not break a bank for a lady to trip or impress her when on a date but that is not excusable to suggest awkward places to boycott spending most especially when you know she is not the gold digging type.

It's rather a disgrace to manhood seeing places where some stingy/broke guys suggest for dating and these places are;

1. Their Houses

Often times, guys who fall under this category are not only broke or stingy but sex starved. There's actually nothing wrong with this, just that some do that just to get under her pant.

2. Mama Put Restaurant

Broke guys suggest local restaurant for babes because of the erroneous belief that Sweet Sensation foods and co. are cancerous due to the form of processing.

3. Public School Class

I shake my head when I see grown up adults caressing themselves in public schools. Of all places, why should it be a roofless classroom? "Some Babes Self No Get Self Worth At All". Only broke or stingy dudes suggest this kind of shameful arena for date.

4. Church Premises

This is a common practice in some churches especially during weekly programmes. You will see a broke brother and Sister at the church backyard professing their love, and in some cases, bleeping each other.

5. Library

Broke dudes (most especially students) seek excuse to spend big by inviting a lady to see them at a library. When she comes, they engage her in extensive discussion without buying a single item for her.

6. Road-by Shops

This is a style broke and stingy guys adopt by telling a lady to meet them at a road by shop. Knowing fully well that the commodities within the shop are not off budget (biscuit, pure water and soft drinks), they will ask the lady when she comes to mention anything she wants to eat as if he is a billionaire.
OP You need to start from somewhere first before you graduate to expensive place...beside most of those places you mentioned isn't a bad place

PoliticsI Am Alive, And In Sound Health —detained Jonathan’s Ex-cso by IdJack(op): 12:49am On Jul 22, 2015
The Department of State Security, DSS has presented Gordon Obua, the detained former chief security officer (CSO) to former President Goodluck Jonathan to the press for an impromptu conference.
At the impromptu press briefing on Tuesday afternoon at the headquarters of the Department of State Services (DSS), Obua said that he is “alive and well”.
“Gentlemen of the press, let me use this opportunity to thank all Nigerians, members of my family and concerned citizens who have expressed very serious concerns for the past six days because of the prevailing situation between I and my office.

Gordon Obua
This morning my attention was drawn to the fact that I have died in detention. This has caused serious anxiety within the public. I want to use this medium to tell Nigerians, members of my family and all concerned citizens that I’m healthy. I’m a staff of the Department of State Services and having completed my tour of duty as the chief security officer to the last President, the service feels that I should give account of my tenure.
So far, there is no adverse situation and I’m optimistic that Nigerians will be informed in due course about the outcome of this exercise. Once again, I thank you immensely. I also want to use the opportunity to thank the DG for the way he has handled me from the time I came in to the present moment.

Nigerians should be assured that the Department of State Service is a very responsible organization and I believe that nothing adverse will be done to my person if I have not done anything wrong. I thank you very much,” he said.
However, he declined to answer questions from reporters at the conference, pleading for understanding from them.
“I am still a member of the DSS and I have limitations in addressing the press,” he pleaded.
It will be recalled that on Sunday his lawyer raised alarms that Obua was denied access to outsiders, including his doctor, lawyer and family members as well as his medications for hypertension and diabetes
Obua has been detained by the SSS in Abuja since the night of July 16

Your boyfriend of 4 years..?

Hmmmmm, Something is wrong with you...why didn't you refuse him when he proposed to you..

I am suspecting you are already cheating on him

sprinkles14:
As I write you this letter, I'm not happy and not fulfilled. I'm getting married in less than one month to my boyfriend of 4years, but I must confess that nothing and I mean absolutely nothing interest and excites me about this guy. I don't feel complete with this guy at all..
I've been turning deaf ears to this inner voice but I kept pretending and forcing it on myself hoping I will get along sooner or later.
I must confess, this guy is a complete gentle man with a good paying job, full of ideas, loving and caring and everything about me is his priority. He's loved by all my family members and everybody around me. Calling of the wedding ceremony will be an outrageous thing to do because of the embarrassment to our families, friends and the guy in particular.
Have made a conclusion within me...after getting married, I will convince my the guy to allow me travel out of the country, maybe if I'm away, I can start a new life out of Nigeria chore and if this doesn't work, I will either file for a divorce after one year or cheat on my husband to make me happy.
Please a very constructive critics and advice will be highly appreciated.
Thank you.

unfulfilled bride to be.

RomanceLander:
LOLzzz

i have been hearing of bus romance since but i just experienced it today... So funny what guys can do in a public transports.

I was at the park yesterday returning from my travel, i came close to the bus to inquire if it was already occupied and fortunately there was still some spaces left. I noticed this guy standing just outside the door, little did i know he had his own intentions. i left, got my ticket and came back and he was still there. i Entered and sat close the window and immediately the guy followed, he kept his bag beside me and told me he was going to seat there. OK no 'P' i told him thinking he was like all these guys who are very cautious of their sitting positions in vehicles during travels (front seats and extremes).

After some minutes our bus left, the bus was very noisy shaa people talking about elections and stuffz, i didnt want to join so i pulled out my phone and came online.
Next thing I noticed this guy seemed restless - changing positions constantly in an unconfortable manner,i thought he was an amateur pick pocket, I never knew it was this perfect opportunity he was seeking, how could it not be right ; with the way i was sitting, the noise in the bus and the constant gallops we fell in.
He was coming nearer untill his shoulder was touching my br**** ( i was sitting in such a way that my right arm was leaning along the back rest of our seatrow and was pressing my phone with the left one.

I pretended i didnt know whats up, gosh with every gallop we fell this guy would rub his shoulders against my br**** and he seemed to be enjoying the journey and maybe pretending he didnt know i'ws aware.
I was codedly monitoring the guy and minding my phone only to see the guy already had erection.
Gossshhh i couldnt laugh, it was so funny and embarassing. I had to bring down that arm and use it as sheild... the guy noticed and also felt embarassing. lols

Uptill now i dont know i wasnt angry, just felt funny!!!
Quite a long journey tho

This is true..but you need to also profess your love to her...cos women are moved by words. Show her that you love and value her.

emusmith:
Every Lady, I mean ALL are emotional and thus likes to be appreciated and loved, even the ones with seemingly loud mouth.

These things I'm about to mention are SUPPOSED to be usual but as time flies, men throw away their first love outa thin air. How pathetic!

I'm Single but I do believe (without apology or contrary opinions) that my future home will be Heaven on Earth because I'll make it work wink

I believe in love. I believe men ought to love their wives first, then upon her will come the inner strength to respect him unreservedly (some ladies be like, Now You're Talking smiley )- okay grin

I have a vision of still being romantic to my wife at 80 and beyond.

It's easy only if a guy and a girl can settle down to plan at courtship how their home should look like. I have seen a few homes like that and that made me feel like getting married almost immediately grin

I'm not a Woman Wrapper... But even if I am to one Lucky woman, it's worth it.

What Are Some Sweet Usuals Every Man Is Supposed To Be Giving To Her Wife?

1. Pillow fight

Many marriages lack this game. Pillow fights lessens Real fights. It unites two people together. Have you ever played a video game with a crush before? If you have, you'll understand what I'm saying. Guys, hit her softly sha o...wink...

2. Hold her hand in the street.

You may wonder why this is included... Except for some new couples and a few elderly ones, some men have gotten too familiar with their wives that they feel so " I dunno" to hold their wives hands on the street. As a matter of fact, this means a lot to her. It tells her your love for hasn't diminished a bit.

3. Be initiative enough to always take her out on special days.

Perhaps, you have grown up kids, take your wife out alone... The wife of your youth wink... It's Valentine's Day, go on a date with her to re-enact your love for her. Your company's party? Take her along even if she's pregnant unless she refuses...

4. Open the car door for her.

This isn't ancient. Doing it makes her feel really special. You treat her like a Queen, She treats you like a King, remember?
Do all you can to keep her smiling all the time- She is your wife o wink
Who says it's wrong to buy her flowers...?

5. Wash her clothes even when she didn't ask

Some men are like King Kong. They so hold tenaciously the school of thought that doing such things for a Lady you're in relationship with makes her belittle you...That's Low Self Esteem! The Normal Ones respect and love you the more...You're helping her. 90% of women love this... Some will Form they don't but they do. Not when she is pregnant o, when she's okay and even lazily walking around...smiley

6. Buy her little things she adores like her favorite chocolate etc.

Have you witnessed a lady in tears before just because she is trying to convey her feelings for you?
What makes this happen is because you're helping her. Money isn't everything- it's important but not in this context! The gold diggers, will say otherwise. When you buy her those little things, you're telling her how THOUGHTFUL you are. An example is: After many weeks, I called a girlfriend just some hours before her exams and her reply was, "So you still remembered". I sensed something. Small things makes her let out the Big things.

7. Help Her In The Kitchen

Helping your wife in the kitchen does not mean wanting to show your cooking tech... Mba! It's not forming "I can do it better". In fact, hide your cooking skills! Don't get her to feel like the 2nd best...hype her, tease her...that she cooks excellently even if she sucks at it. If she's smart and wise, she'll put more effort to improving her skills if necessary. Your wife owns the kitchen. You own the yard. Help her cut onions, peel the yams and slice the tomatoes. Work as a team! Your mummy visiting you guys shouldn't try to lord it over her in HER kitchen... unless there's an understanding smiley

SUMMARY: This thread is my belief system. Other threads might not totally agree but... I believe strongly this is how ME and every other guy aspiring to be a Father, Husband and the Head of the home some day ought to comport ourselves with our wives. wink

Ladies: You can add more.

Guys: What do y'all think? cheesy

Are we girls are no longer beautiful or should I say that our men are now wise or busy that they don't notice us anymore?

I'm feeling so sad and down at the moment. Could you believe I trekked from Ikeja Along to oshodi today because I was bored at home and to my surprise, not a single vehicle nor a guy stopped me throughout my trekking , can you imagine? I just wasted my powder, lipstick and perfume for nothing cry

Please nobody should call me "ugly" because I am very far from being ugly.
