FIFA has banned the referee Jospeh Lamptey for his involvement in match fixing.

This decision follows the confirmation of the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) to uphold the lifetime ban of match referee, Joseph Lamptey

According to the report on official website of FIFA: The FIFA Disciplinary Committee has decided to ban the Ghanaian match official Joseph Odartei Lamptey from taking part in any kind of football-related activity (administrative, sports or any other) at national and international level for life. The official was found guilty of breaching art. 69 par. 1 (unlawfully influencing match results) of the FIFA Disciplinary Code during the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia™ qualifying match between South Africa and Senegal on 12 November 2016.

FIFA has confirmed that the world cup qualifier between South Africa and Senegal played in November 2016 will be replayed in November 2017 due to match manipulation.

Oyo state government recently promised to embark on rebuilding and construction of some circular roads in the city of Ibadan.

The construction has fully started and presently going on in many parts of the state of Oyo. Today, our news agent was at a construction location to see the magnitude of work being done. At Basorun area, many residential buildings, mosques and shops were affected by the rebuilding due to expansion of the roads and some large portions of many buildings were seen being pulled down already.
