CareerPlease Advise On Envious Colleagues by IDnoble1(op): 6:41pm On Oct 25, 2021
Hello Nairalanders,
I just got promoted at work but discovered that some close colleagues are not happy with the decision of the management, to the extent that they showed it openly with their body languages.
As a matured mind, can I approach and speak to them because they are now to work under my supervision.
Thanks

Even those in postion of authority who should know the right thing to do, would supporting FG give Yahaya Bello Apc presidential ticket?
Too bad, Yahaya Bello and Ben Ayade are the most useless Governors in Nigeria.

FIRS is now running helter skelter all because of their self-centeredness. It will fail.

But, do we say our judiciary is now working well for those wonderful judgements?

*China Restricts Children's Online Gaming To Three Hours A Week* https://guardian.ng/life/china-restricts-childrens-online-gaming-to-three-hours-a-week/ China on Monday announced a drastic cut to children’s online gaming time to just three hours a week during term time, the latest move in a broad crackdown on tech giants in the world’s biggest gaming market.

Gamers under 18 will only be allowed to play online between 8:00 pm and 9:00 pm on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, state news agency Xinhua said, in what it described as a bid to curb addiction in the gaming-crazy nation.

Gamers are required to use their ID cards when registering to play online, to ensure minors don’t lie about their age.

On school holidays, children will be allowed to play a little longer, with the allocated time set at 60 minutes per day.

“Gaming addiction has affected studies and normal life… and many parents have become miserable,” the National Press and Publication Administration said in a statement.

Companies are prohibited from offering gaming services outside the stipulated hours, although the statement did not make it clear how rule-breakers would be punished.

An earlier restriction in place since late 2019 banned late-night games and restricted players to just 90 minutes of playtime on weekdays and three hours on weekends and holidays.

China’s Communist rulers have been reining in big tech and other powerful sectors that draw hundreds of millions of consumers.

Gaming seems to be the latest target for regulators, hit by a raft of rules introduced in recent months to weed out the excesses of the culture among Chinese youth, from worsening eyesight to online addiction.

The industry — which made revenue of 130 billion yuan ($20 billion) in the first half of this year according to the China Audio-Video and Digital Publishing Association — has been slammed in menacing state media reports in recent days, with one article labelling games as “spiritual opium”.

In July Chinese tech giant Tencent rolled out a facial recognition “midnight patrol” function to root out children masquerading as adults to get around a government curfew on underage gamers.

Mostly overhead costs due to poor infrastructure.

When we start transporting cement by rail for instance, you can expect prices to fall. Same with stable power supply that will drive down costs and also reflect in cheaper prices.
Okay,
So is the (overhead costs) factor not going to affect his oil refining?

Dangote's refinery will definitely be a game changer for the Nigerian economy.

This does not make sense. There is no way Dangote's petrol would be more expensive because not only has the issue of landing cost been eliminated since we're no longer importing, but the market has also been deregulated (which is why we suffer price hikes whenever price of crude or USD rises).

You're right about elimination of subsidy which will save us significant amounts of money, but even greater benefits would come from saving millions of USD daily that would have been wasted to import refined petrol (a whopping 41% of our forex saved); further boosting our foreign reserves and the value of the Naira. The multiplier benefits from job creation and development of allied industries to support the refinery and petrochemical plant are better imagined.
So what makes him to sell his cement bags higher prices like others, after all he produces it here and we have limestone in the country. This is Nigeria.

I have a friend(teacher) who usually marks for WAEC and NECO. Yesterday he was lamenting that NECO could rush them (invited examiners) to mark and record for them in less than two weeks but could not pay them a month after the marking exercise. And to my surprise, I just saw tonight that the result has been released now and the people who did the majority of the work has not been rewarded.
