I and a bunch of friends were defrauded by a "so-called" house agent by the name of Muhammad Auwal at Samaru for self-contained rooms at an off-campus hostel called "Gidan Yara" at the time the rooms were under construction. We made this very early payment because of the proximity of the place to campus, and we can't afford to lose it. We Paid him an amount of money summing up to N540000 to a GTbank account with the name of AMINU MUKTHAR. At first, we never thought he could swindle us the way he did because a friend among us had known him since last year. Then we heard the unthinkable when we paid a visit to the site where the construction of the rooms was going on, to see the progress of the work. Then we met two guys who were also there to see the progress of the work, and we started a conversation with them so when we told them the agent we paid to, they were shocked and they told us that news was all over Samaru about him defrauding up to 25 students which sum up to N3 MILLION and he is nowhere to be found. From that moment, we realized that we're just ordinary victims of Auwal's (The Cunning Agent) tricks. We didn't hesitate to report the issue to the Samaru area command. In a few days, Auwal's brother and the account holder Aminu Mukthar were brought into custody, based on his alibi, Aminu Mukthar was not involved in the fraud he let Auwal use his account not knowing that it was being used to defraud students, as the investigation goes further it was realized that it was a grand conspiracy between Auwal and his kinsmen or "women" rather because we were told that it was Auwal's mother that told him to escape to sokoto to their relatives when the case has subsided then he can come back. Therefore, I want to use this medium to solicit your help, support, and advice on how we can bring this fraudster agent with the name of AUWAL to Justice!
