Romance › Re: Can He Marry Me? by idu1(m): 5:22pm On Jan 07, 2017
Immee:
Matured advise only pls.

My bf broke up with me early last year and yet to be in another as I'm yet to get over it completely. Also maybe because I'm yet to be convinced by another person.

November last year, I met a guy trough a friend. We've been friends since then and has requested we start a relationship though yet to accept him cos he's not literate. He told me he's from a polygamous family, his mother died when he was a kid and was deprived of schooling after his secondary education.

Honestly this guy is so caring but my concern is he's not ready to further his studies and also not ready for marriage since he doesn't have a job.

I'm in my early 30, a graduate and also in for my higher studies with a job as well. I'm not desperate to get married but my fear is will this guy be ever ready to be married even if I offer to sponsor through school or should I just leave him
You are calling someone who finished secondary school an illitrate because he didn't go university?

Jobs/Vacancies › Re: A Month After NYSC, I Got A Job As A Manager In An Exquisite Resort by idu1(m): 7:34pm On Jan 06, 2017
OluKayy:
I have always kept a positive mindset towards job hunting right from Uni days with the believe that I would never be an applicant for too long. That thought-process paid off when I received a call from the HR department of one of the biggest resorts in my state for an interview having submitted an application last November for a supervisory role, same month I completed my NYSC service year. Both written and oral interview went on smoothly and I got my letter yesterday as the newest and youngest Manager, a role superior to what I applied for. I didn't even have a non-nysc working experience. My joy knows no bound.

Never stop believing you can achieve favourable greatness even when other people are complaining of difficult times.

Education › Re: Running My ND And Bsc Programme Together; Is It Advisable? by idu1(m): 12:08pm On Jan 05, 2017
petux:
Hello Nairalanders,
I am currently in a dilenma which i don't know what chioce to make. Currently, i am a student of yabatech, still in ND1. Due to our late resumption, i picked up another jamb and fortunately for me, i was admitted to Unilag for the same course i am studying in yabatech. I really dont know if runing the two might be good for me or leaving my ND programme for Bsc. I met with some people who have graduated and ask for advices. Some told me to run both since they are not far from each other while some told me to leave yabatech so it affect both. Up till now, i have not made a decision. I decided to come bk here and ask for your advices on what to do about this as unilag will be starting lectures fully on Monday. Your comment will be appreciated.
Thanks and God Bless.

Who is saddles with monetary policy? Banning 41 items from the official forex window was outrightly the CBN decision
The CBN governor. If the items were completely banned and remove from the tariff list, then they are fiscal policy that happens to be Adeosun and Buhari's blame.

Career › Re: I Lost My Job Because Of This, So Painful by idu1(m): 2:04pm On Dec 25, 2016
dilini:
Sometimes in life things happen for a reason. According the book of Eccl chap. 3 where it says everything happens for a reason I was just unhappy when at my workplace my superior almost frustrated the life out of me. I don't know why she was like that though I was new at that time. It was an admin role and I was employed by her to work as her PA/Admin Assistant to the company. I had my office to myself and I gave my ALL to both the company and to her but the issues were there evidently submerging with the flow of duties at the office. I guess her personal, family issues were affecting her job but alas!, I was wrong!

It was later in the course of my probatory period I learnt a friend of the company has been pressuring her/the management to pull me off the job and allow his daughter take up my role at the office due to their long working relationship. I was hinted of this 'secret' by one of the top management staff and it broke my heart. The zeal I put in into the job somehow disappeared because I was seeing the signs. My boss was just complaining of EVERYTHING I do and always reminded me of the probatory job agreement I signed before taking up the job thereby filling my heart with fear and anxiety. I kept on praying.

Fast-forward to Dec. 11th I came to the office as usual prepared for the working day ahead only for my bosslady barged into my office and asked that I see her in her office. I thought it was the normal day work rountine of telling me what I will be doing for her only for her to tell me to hand over EVERYTHING in my possession, everything which belong to the company. I was dumbfounded at first but somehow I try to mutter a word or two which was incoherent to decipher. My heart was beating fast. I didnt say anything thereafter because pleading to her for what I didnt know about will fall on deaf ears.

I went back to my office and tidied up everything, called the office assistant/cleaner and handed everything to him and took my leave. I was crying inside of me, alot was going through my mind. It was as if my world came crashing. How do I explain to my folks what happenned and I hate playing the pity-party.

I came back the next day and handed over my resignation letter thanking them for the time spent and all. Right now, my hopes are hinged on God for another opportunity, just been praying I get a new job the soonest as a vindication for my undeserved ouster from my former place of work.

My experience spans over 7years working as an admin personnel and I won't mind learning on a new role as I am a fast learner and can multi-task and work with or without supervision. The details of my cognate experience(s) are contained in my CV attached therein with this post.

Thanks again.
Is she the owner of that company?
