He restated its statement of Friday that Buhari is as fit as a fiddle.

“The Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital (ABUTH) has discredited the purported report said to have emanated from the hospital to the effect that General Muhammadu Buhari is stricken with cancer,” the APC Presidential Campaign Organisation has said.

Meanwhile, there is a groundswell of opposition from Nigerians in the Diaspora against the candidate of Buhari in the February 14 presidential election.

The opposition against the former military ruler is being championed by the United States chapter of the Nigerians in Diaspora Organization (NIDO), the flagship association of Nigerians living abroad.

Speaking at a press conference held at the Hilton Garden, Washington DC, Hon. Victor Ugho, the immediate past Vice-President of NIDO, who is the current President of the Georgia State chapter of the association with headquarters in Atlanta, urged the former Head of State to perish the thought of becoming the next president of the country, saying that the world has moved past the likes of Buhari.

Ugho regretted that Buhari has allowed himself to be pushed around by some people whom, he said, were looking for ways to cause more pains to Nigeria. He noted that Buhari, as Head of State, had ample opportunity to turn the country around, stressing that, “as a matter of sincerity, I do not think Buhari is the best candidate for Nigeria at this period in time. He was there as Head of State, what did he do?

“Again, he has not told us what he is going to do differently.  We need continuity; the choice should not be based on tribal sentiment. Let him tell us how he is going to fix the so-called terrible situation he has identified.  We need somebody who will not bring disunity.”

Also speaking, the Public Relations Officer of NIDO, Mr. Ndubusi George called on Nigerians at home and in the Diaspora to think wisely and vote for the right candidate in next month’s presidential election.

End.

But in a shift response, Buhari dismissed the claims over his health as mere fabrication of lies by those afraid of his rising popularity among Nigerian voters.

While insisting that he was hale and hearty, Buhari, through his Campaign Director of Media and Publicity, Mallam Garba Shehu, asked Nigerians not to be distracted by the antics of desperate and unpopular candidates who were afraid of losing in a free and fair contest. The media campaign director dismissed as a figment of the imagination of “wicked and evil persons,” the rumour that Buhari may be travelling to the United States towards the end of this month for medical check up.

While dismissing the report as fabrications, however, he said that “as a prominent leader of the opposition, many interests across the globe want him (GMB) over for political and diplomatic consultations,” adding that the “invitation to the US may not be unconnected to this.”

Shehu also dismissed as fake and untenable a purported medical report from the Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital showing that Buhari had been diagnosed of prostate cancer by the institution.

In a statement, he described the claim, said to have been credited to a ‘renowned source in the hospital’, as disdainful, distractive, mischievous, fake and fallacious.

The Buhari aide said, “It (report of cancer) is untrue and condescending of its exponents. I have it on good authority that GMB has not visited the Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital in the last five years. So, how can anyone say that he was diagnosed with prostate cancer last October, barely three months ago?.

“This is the highest point of political distraction, malice and mischief. The report was not only fake but unfounded. I have spoken to impeccable sources at ABUTH all of whom deny the report and also claimed that the letterhead used was not their regular one, and that Dr. Bala Mohammed that purportedly approved the false medical report is not on the personnel list of that department.” Beside, Shehu said sources at ABUTH disclosed that “medical report analysis only come from laboratory technologists and not medical doctors as handwritten in this particular case”, stressing that Buhari did not attend the hospital for cancer or any other ailment.

SONI DANIEL & LIVINUS NWABUGHIOGU

Concerns were raised, last night, over the health status of the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, following his planned trip to the United States of American towards the end of January.

Buhari is reported to have filled an online application for the United States of America Visa to enable him travel to the country around January 26 for medical scrutiny.

The application for the visa, it was learnt, instantly fueled speculations that Buhari had been weighed down by the strain of the campaigns which he had been undertaking in recent days, thereby requiring urgent medical attention in the foreign land.

His opponents argued that Buhari would not have sought to abandon his campaigns midway and travel abroad for medical attention if his health condition was not dire.

They contended that the general’s failing health had become a serious concern to his handlers, who have, however, quietly managed the situation to avoid any damage to his candidature.

The statement noted that Governor Fashola betrayed himself recently when he said Jimi Agbaje, PDP Lagos state governorship candidate, who is only 57 years old, was too old to govern Lagos state.

“This is indeed the height of hypocrisy considering the fact that Fashola was on the other hand campaigning for 73-year old Buhari to become the President of Nigeria.”

It recalled that Fashola had earlier said that: “If you put an old man there, he cannot do it. If you call him in the night, he may not pick your calls.”

Medical reports are private information they are not supposed to be released to the public. There is no such place as Ahmadu Bello Teaching Hospital. The proper name is Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital which is what you will find on any of their authentic documents. The ones you're seeing on social media are obviously fake.
I agree with you bro.Whoever that created that medical report should be sanctioned.

Yes, that "medical report" from Ahmadu Bello Teaching Hospital which doesn't even exist. PDP is facing real opposition for the first time and they are playing the game like rank amateurs.
I believe you have the 'authentic' Buhari's medical report that's why you are dispelling this. But if you don't have it,then i will take the medical reports trending on social media to be true.

According to Clark, "If Buhari comes and it (insurgency) stops, it is because they control it, they listen to him. They started it, they know how Boko Haram started. It is easier for them to stop it.

"But Jonathan is working on it. He has toured the area but they have found meaning to it. They are saying it is too late. Nigeria belongs to all of us and together we can salvage it.

On the constant criticisms of Jonathan by former president Olusegun Obasanjo, the elder statesman said that he was of the view that Obasanjo should be expelled from the PDP because he was working with the opposition to bring down Jonathan.

He observed that Obasanjo was defending Buhari over the N25billion unaccounted for at the Petroleum Trust Fund (PTF) headed by Buhari because Obasanjo wanted Jonathan to lose election.

According to him, "Obasanjo is defending him because he wants APC to win. How much corruption have you found in Jonathan that you are calling him corrupt?"
Describing the APC presidential candidate as "a fundamentalist," Clark observed that Muslims and Christians must live together in the country to hasten its development.

"What is wrong with PDP? That man (Obasanjo) should not be allowed to be in the party. You beg him all the time, he has made up his mind. He gathered APC women to abuse President Jonathan.

"If a man you dissolved his committee (PTF) and he could not account for N25 billion and you are now saying that man is not corrupt. Buhari and Obasanjo are the same. They are in a marriage of convenience just to remove Jonathan", he alleged.

"Because Obasanjo is corrupt, he doesn't know what the definition of corruption is. There is big trouble in this country when corrupt people call others corrupt", he said.

He also spoke about Speaker of the House of Representatives, Alhaji Aminu Tambuwal who he said had informed him (Clark) how he escaped arrest when the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) was probing alleged corruption within the leadership of House, Clark said he had no confidence in the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) as he alleged that the chairman, Professor Attahiru Jega was biased against the return of President Jonathan to office.

Politics / Jonathan, Buhari Accord On Violence Won't Work, Says - Edwin Clark by idumuose(m): 8:10am On Jan 17, 2015
By Chuks Okocha

Less than 72 hours after President Goodluck Jonathan, the presidential candidate of the APC, General Muhammadu Buhari and other presidential candidate signed an accord to ensure violence-free elections, former Minister of Information, Chief Edwin Clark has said that the peace pact would not work because Buhari was likely not to keep to the terms of the agreement.

Clark who spoke to newsmen on Friday when he granted audience to various Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) campaign groups, however noted that it was a good thing that President Jonathan made himself available to sign the accord.

According to the South-South leader, Buhari could not be trusted to keep to the agreement in view of his antecedent, including his refusal, when invited, to appear before the defunct Oputa Panel set up to advance the course of peace in the country.

Clark, who said the accord did not mean anything to him, said he would however be glad if it could engender the necessary peace before, during and after the elections.

He noted that the accord was not necessary, blaming its existence on what he said, was the desperation of some people whom he said believed that power belongs to them.

Clark also noted the United States of America's recent statement that the increased Boko Haram attacks in the North East may likely be connected to the impending elections, saying that if Buhari said he could stop the insurgents, he may not be far from the truth because they obey him.

Politics / Bafarawa To Gov Wamakko: Prepare To Hand Over To Wali by idumuose(m): 8:09am On Jan 15, 2015
By Mohammed Aminu in Sokoto

Former Governor of Sokoto State, Alhaji Attahiru Bafarawa, Wednesday asked Governor Aliyu Wamakko to prepare to hand over to the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Senator Abdallah Wali by May 29, 2015.

He also said God had ordained President Goodluck Jonathan as the President of Nigeria, adding that unscrupulous politicians were only using religion to deceive people in the North.

This is just as the State Deputy Governor and leader of the PDP in the state, Alhaji Mukhtar Shagari, was conspicously absent during the commencement of the PDP campaign in the state.

Addressing party supporters at the commencement of PDP governorship campaign at the Kangiwa Square, Sokoto, Bafarawa averred that Wamakko should get ready to hand over power to Wali, saying he had no doubt that the PDP would win the forthcoming governorship election in the state.

He maintained that the large turnout of supporters at the rally was an indication that PDP would wrest power from the All Progressive Congress in the state.

"My prayer and hope is that we are planning to bid goodbye to Wamakko for us to take over. So, Wamakko should get ready to hand over to Wali.

"If you look at this mammoth crowd here and compare it with the one at the APC rally few days ago, you will come to the conclusion that victory is ours in the forthcoming governorship election," Bafarawa said.

He emphasised that God had destined Jonathan as the leader of Nigeria and that it was not a mistake.

See why i said Lagos state government is not utilising the huge funds available to it judiciously.

Here is the budget of Rivers vs Rwanda(Rwanda is doing fine as a country)

RWANDA
Population: 11 Million
GDP: $16 Billion
Budget: $1.67 Billion
Size: 23,000 SQ km

RIVERS STATE:
Population: 6 Million
GDP: $19 Billion+
Budget: $3 Billion+
Size: 12,000 Sq KM.

Check it out here and you will be amazed how we waste funds on frivolities in this country.

I do not know Lagos state annual budget but i know it's budget is higher than those of rivers state and by extension Rwanda.
