Politics / The Army Does Not Have The Original Copy Or Statement Of Buhari's Waec Results by idumuose(m): 12:26pm On Jan 21, 2015
Speaking to the media, Army Spokesperson, Olajide Laleye, reversed the Army’s earlier position that it had copies of Mr. Buhari’s West African Secondary School Certificate.

Mr. Laleye said while military records showed Mr. Buhari obtained the WASC in 1961, with credits in English Language, Geography, History, Health Science, and Hausa, there were neither the original copy nor certified true copy nor statement of result to confirm the grades.

He also said the Army could not confirm whether Mr. Buhari’s claim of obtaining those results was verified by the Army in the 1960s.
But military sources say while the Army spokesperson was addressing the media, the Department of Military Secretary the same day was despatching to Mr. Buhari his academic records, which had been requested by the retired general.

Maybe they have realised the folly in issuing a press release on the certificate saga.perhaps, they have also realised the press statement will further aggravate their tight situation. The noose around Buhari's neck is tightening slowy but steadily.

Let's wait until 10:00am or even today for Buhari's secondary school certificate press release.

Here is "Lie" Mohammed has to say again about Buhari's certificate. This ApC is funny.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has warned that those who are bent on

destroying its Presidential Candidate, Maj.-Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, on the
basis of his certificates may end up destroying the country’s military.

In a statement issued in Lagos on Tuesday by its National Publicity
Secretary, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, the party warned that the PDP and the
Jonathan Administration are playing a dangerous game by trying to
compromise the military in order to satisfy selfish political objectives,
and urged the military, as a symbol of national unity, to beware of those
who may be seeking to use it to achieve selfish and divise ends.

It said the statement credited to the Nigerian Army Director, Army Public
Relations, Brig-Gen. Olajide Olaleye, at a press conference in Abuja on
Tuesday, that the Army is not in possession of Gen. Buhari’s certificates,
is in direct conflict with what he said on Jan. 4th 2015 on the same
issue.

”In an interview with the Punch on Jan. 4th 2015, Brig.-Gen. Olaleye said:
‘Every serving and retired Army officer has at least a copy of his
certficates and credentials kept in the Nigerian Army while that same
serving and retired officer has copies of those same certificates and
credentials’.

”Is Brig.-Gen. Olaleye now saying that he did not make that statement? If
he did, what has happened between then and now to make him to recant? It
will be interesting to know what has transpired between then and now,” APC
said.

But more worrisome, the party said, is the statement credited to
Brig.-Gen. Olaleye that there was no evidence that the certificates of all
those who joined the army in the early 1960s were verified by the
selection board.

”Is he now saying that all those who were commissioned into the officer
cadres in the 1960s did not have their certificates verified? Does this
not confirm what we said that in trying to destroy Gen. Buhari, the PDP
and the Jonathan Administration will end up destroying the army as an
institution? Or is it only Gen. Buhari that was commissioned into the army
in the 1960s,” it said.

The party also quoted Gen. Buhari as saying in an affidavit on 24/11/2014
that ”All my academic qualifications documents as filled in my
presidential form, President APC/001/2015 are currently with the Secretary
Military Board as at the time of this affidavit.”

”Those who are behind the latest controversy should now tell Nigerians
what happened to Gen. Buhari’s certificates between the time of his
affidavit and now,” it said.

APC said in any case, even if the Army now says it does not have the
certificates of Gen. Buhari, he is still very qualified to run for the
country’s highest office, as stipulated by the Constitution of the Federal
Republic of Nigeria.

The party quoted Section 131 (d) of the Constitution: ”A person shall be
qualified for election to the office of President if he has been educated
up to at least School Certificate level or its equivalent”

APC said the meaning and interpretation of ”School Certificate level or
its equivalent can be found in the Constitution under part IV, Section
318. In that Section, a ”School Certificate or ot equivalent” is defined
quite succinctly thus:

(a) A Secondary School Certificate or its equivalent, Grade II Teacher’s
Certificate, the City and Guilds Certificate; or

(b) Education up to Secondary School Certificate Level; or

(c) Primary Six School Leaving Certificate or its equivalent.

The party said since Brig.-Gen. Olaleye has now confirmed that Gen. Buhari
indeed applied to join the Army from form six, that the principal of the
school he attended even attested to his suitability, and that the form he
filled contained his Secondary School Certificate results, there is no
scintilla of doubt about his qualification to run for president as
stipulated by the Constitution.

The promised 9 o'clock press conference by Muhammadu Buhari is being awaited by Nigerians who care about him.

Let us be reminded that Buhari initially sworn a court affidavit and obtained by inec that his certificates are with the secretary to the military board.

Mr integrity later made a u-turn and told bewildered Nigerians that 1983 coup plotters who raided his home stole his certificates.

Buhari will further jeopadize his presidential ambition if he has been advised by Tinubu, himself a chicago certificate forger to forge a wasc certificate at oluwole.

We are waiting.it's just a few minutes to 9 o'clock.

barcanista, are you wiser than olisa agbakoba (SAN) who said the inec form of 2007 and 2011 are different from 2015 inec registration form which stipulates that you must provide the original certificate of your credentials,
in which case your original wasc or it's equivalent must be provided.

Buhari initially said his certificates are with the secretary to the military board.
He later made a detour and i believe "Lie" mohammed must have made a suggestion to him to say his certificates were stolen when soldiers who overthrew his government ransacked and stole his certificate.
Even my dog scott can smell lies here.

Again, "it was 'siezed' by IBB during the coup".
Or you can "ask the US War College".
Finally, "he doesn't need certificate to contest for President".
What next?

But I hope he has the mind to say that truth.

Don't digress.
The constitution says "(d) any other qualification acceptable by the Independent National Electoral Commission".
Now my question is this, did INEC tell you it does not accept the qualifications as claimed by GMB?

Please take this as a learning process.
Get your fact right before you post falsity here.

The supreme court gave a verdict that inec does not have the power to disqualify a candidate wishing to contest election.

It is the court that has the power to disqualify a candidate or the party under the which the candidate is contesting if it so wishes.

Did you not read in the papers yesterday where some political parties fielded underaged candidates who will comtest elections.

It was clear they have circumvented the constitution, yet inec went ahead to register them.Is it inec fault that those candidates were registered to contest

in the face of glaring irregularities? The answer is no.

This is same situation that Buhari is confronting.

And here is what your master said about Buhari;

Tinubu Feared Buhari Would Destroy Nigeria - WikiLeaks

Heading of the confidential document published on Wikileaks

“6. (C) Turning to the presidential contest, Tinubu disclosed that he does not like President Obasanjo because he contributed to the end of democracy in Nigeria during his tenure as a military president and is now benefiting from that history. That said, Tinubu admitted that he and his party, the Alliance for Democracy, must support Obasanjo.

Southwest Nigeria is Yoruba land and the President is Yoruba. Tinubu’s party had no choice since it has not fielded a presidential candidate. Moreover, Obasanjo is the only  candidate who stands a chance of blocking his rival, General Muhammadu Buhari, whose ethnocentrism would jeopardize Nigeria’s national unity.

Buhari and his ilk are agents of  destabilization who would be far worse than Obasanjo. Tinubu and many other governors are therefore implementing a strategy to re-elect Obasanjo, partly in an effort to prevent Sharia from spreading. Tinubu predicted that the President will follow his own course, if re-elected, since he will not need as many friends the second time around.”
